  1. And I for one just finished replaying PS:T It is still utterly undefeatable, though great chunks of KotOR 2 and Bloodlines gives it good challenge. MotB is fantastic too. oh, and how could you NOT mention Fat Larry?
  2. Yeah, I kinda figured it out

Boring? Really? Big fan of theirs, my favorite group. Their first 4 albums compete with anyones. Nobody Fault - Off the Rocks album. Of course I've only listened to couple of songs by them but I like just making **** up The Beatles - Sexy Sadie
  4. Well, happy news for ya Sharen! It is still extremely unlikely, but. Sauce Now, I have no idea when this interview was done, however Obz currently has three projects going on: NWN2: SoZ Alpha Protocol Aliens RPG Now, both of those were clearly unannounced when this interview was made. Other one of those games is of course Alpha Protocol HOWEVER Avellone is NOT lead designer of SoZ This means Avellone acts as Lead Designer for some unannounced title, it being project which this thread about, that is propably in pre-production currently. Now WHAT would be title important enough for MCA to jump in to get LD status for yet another project in addition to AP that's his current full-time project? Only title I see as possible is Kotor 3. MCA has longed for making it since K2. Still, that is very unlikely and that could NWN2: Expansion Pack 3 just as likely

I recently had an argument with young lad who maintained, perfectly seriously, that Genesis were better than Aerosmith. And he won amirite? I do not think you have ever been more wrong. Dude, I don't even like Genesis much. But at least they aren't total borefest that is Aerosmith's hard rock *yawn* Pixies - Where is my Mind (Live)
  6. I just remembered I have never played the game with Ignus in the party Should give it yet another go I guess Still best game ending ever (oh, and game too) That it is. Soviet moon mission FTW
  7. Just finished PS:T once again What can change the nature of man?

  9. Well, as OE has denied any will for doing MMO in past and I don't see drastic events changing those views... I for one hope OE doesn't make MMO Obsidian has about 140 developers. They work on 3 titles at time and this worker base is divided between these titles (with obviously swapping going on). As it is about half (if not more, I can't remember exactly) of OE's people work full time on Alpha Protocol as it is obviously their leading title at the moment. NWN2:SoZ is expansion pack and thus feature less developers working on it simply because there's less work to do. My guess would be about 20-30 people but that's just a guess. Rest are obviously working on Aliens RPG (though some might be already planning on MYSTARY project that follows SoZ) Developing MMO's takes ****loads long time, a lot resources AND humongous load of people developing it. Only way Obsidian could reach the capacity to properly develop MMO without compromising heavil when it comes to other titles was big growth out of nowhere, which goes against Feargus's will they stay a relatively small but more close knitted company compared to megadevelopers such as Blizzard. If OE would now start MMO it would mean bad for rest of their projects because it takes so much developers and time and money. Even if they managed to ship the MMO ultimately and it wouldn't be catastrophe they'd still needs considerably sized team work on game non-stop, keeping the servers up, developing new content, squishing bugs and "fixing" and unmaking "fixes" in never ending journey for game balance. -------------------- MMO's simply aren't worth the hassle. There's already great MMO's in the market. Good RPG's not so much. And due to my tastes I'd by far prefer OE working on fantastic single player games instead of sinking time, manpower and money into MMO that would propably be financial failure anyway (competition is HARD in that genre) So no MMO's please
  10. That, like many of the comments here, is not entirely fair. BIO got to keep a lot of their creative freedom after the takeover, I think, and there's no reason to believe they'll go the way of Origin or Westwood. Lol... You're probably too young to know some of the games in that list, but really, that's one quite clueless comment. I didn't know EA published Populous shame on me
  11. I guess now is good time to reveal theslug has been in jail for daterape? beware the sluggish crook!

I recently had an argument with young lad who maintained, perfectly seriously, that Genesis were better than Aerosmith. And he won amirite? David Gilmour - Where We Start
  13. Cool beans (whose expression that was again? Volourn's? Gromnir's?
  14. You know one british journalist blamed Jokela school shooting on finnish gloomy and melancholic mentality, for us rather numerous psychological health problems and the fact we don't get enough sunlight in the year. Try and beat that! Which, for all its glory and depth, is nothing but shade of Planescape Torment Bloodlines on the other hand has best end. twist. ever. *constrains waves of rabid fanboyism* I'm honestly curious about this, also partly because I must know to whom I must build my altar for
  15. *sigh* that was desperate I know
  16. oooooooooooohhh... Well, since you love Ninja Gaiden and similar stuff you certainly have idea how to build great CQC system Can you tell us what's Mitsoda working on now? ...pretty please?
  17. Really? Interesting... Afterall, the lead engine programmer at Guildford is Finnish, so... Maybe you wanna rethink I thought you stayed back for english beer I mean, if I'd make decisions like that based on beer I'd go to Germany - prolly to work for Piranha Bytes* or something *Pirate Bay lol
  18. I always suspected you were Volo's alt
  19. Yeah, walk straight to Master's lair and bla bla blaa
  20. Oh. So it's not for sure that he's still with OE... I hope he is. Nope, there's no word about it and it makes me a bit worried. But then again I fail to see reason why he wouldn't be working at OE anymore
  21. but it won't be and you guys know it
  22. He works on Aliens so you'd have to wait for a while until that comes out
  23. Mitsoda is still with Obsidian? That's a relief. Also, to be perfectly honest, I don't care specifically who wrote what. As long as I know Mitsoda and Avellone worked on AP, it's all good! Mitsoda did story and dialog for Bloodlines (which excelled in both) while Avellone wrote a lot of stuff for both PS:T and KotOR2. That's all I need to know. Judging by the place he lives according to Myspace yes. At least I don't know any other developer studios on the area than OE
  24. 'sides Fallout is 10 hours game if you know how to do your **** There's stuff to be learned from GHCD's preview too (link on main page)
  25. lol Obz has always been very good at underevaluating game lenght. NWN2 was 20-30 hours game for ages in media but it really was 50 hours game. That's propably just the main missions lenght anyway, similar to fallout 3's "main quest is 20 hours"
