IE engine is too old. Besides, NWN2 beats especially BG1 when it comes to roleplaying (and plot isn't certainly bad)... I've never finished first one. Too boring. If BG3 will be made, it'll propably use D&D 3.5 World has moved on

My Khelgar does quite a deal of damage too. Besides, I "monked" Khelgar because that was what he wanted.

This reminds me of my whining about crazy party members. Well, after killing orcs at Old Owl Well my problem did not return. No more attacking casters if they hurt my team with their AoE spells. Good, now I can keep Qara with me again. KILLING POWER!

Quoted for truth. While Mandalore's character certainly isn't that of a romantic, he has a lot of respect for Revan (and a bit for the Exile). Shouldn't have been too big a deal to push that respect past the turning point and make it a romance. Besides, I've seen their base on Dxun. So Doom is better FPS than HL2? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If we are talking about gameplay, then nothing about the FPS genera has really changed all that much since Spasim released in 1974. 32 Years and all we really have to show for it in that genera is more shineys, which were always a huge part of the appeal of the FPS game to begin with, so using the FPS genera as a counter point is flawed to begin with. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You did not answer my question.

From a certain point of view that's true. Main reason however was Codename Eagle, their older game that wasn't very popular (SL sucked and it was ment to be MP only originally, but publisher wanted singleplayer). However, CE's multiplayer was (mostly) exactly like coming BF 1942. It had been EA's game testers favorite game for a long time, so when EA heard that same (pretty unknown and insignificant) team decided to publish their game. That's however explanation only to how EA became it's publisher. In the end BF 1942 gained it's popularity with its own greatness. There was no hype and minor advertising. So EA didn't have great impact to game's succes IMO

Well, Max Payne was a breakthrough for Remedy.

OOTS rocks, especially in later ones (which I count after they get out of the dungeon. Strip 125 mayhap?). edit: Much earlier it seems. OOTS rocks always, but drawing (lol, I compare stick style art ) is much more complicated later on
