I loved the Matrix but the sequels were like some proto-Last Jedi nonsense in that they made me care less about the original

The new Dune is a better movie but I do think the old one was more fun. I haven't bothered with WoT but Hawkeye has been much better than I expected.

LOTRO Gundabad expansion

I thought it was pretty good. It moved along but didn't feel like it was just rushing through to get to the next action scene. Haven't watched the second episode yet so I dunno if that changes

So the Packers have been my team since I was a kid and this new Rodgers thing hit pretty hard but honestly it's been building for a while. Every year I'm finding less and less to bring me back.

I think that after this season I'm probably done with football for a long while. Maybe for good.

I saw the new Bond movie and didn't much care for it

I really dug the first episode of Hawkeye. I wasn't going to watch it but then I saw some reviews complain about the slower pace and lower stakes and thought that sounded great.

Another Thanksgiving has come and gone we got through it without much issue. My family from out of town cancelled the day they were supposed to arrive so it was just the three of us and a couple of friends. The only thing even remotely political that came up was Dave Chappelle and I was able to change the topic pretty easily.

Red Notice and A Castle for Christmas. Red Notice was stupid fun with emphasis on the stupid. I guessed the twist at the very beginning and I'm no Herlock Sholmes. I'm a Cary Elwes fan but watching him Scottish for an hour and a half wasn't the best. I'm a sucker for sappy holiday movies that are a hair above Hallmark movies so this hit that mark.

Downloaded the new patches and DLC but haven't had the urge to actually play the game. I think I'll wait on the paid DLC and probably the first patch after that before I dive back in.

Do enemies still spawn right next to you and does most combat still happen at really close range? I'd love to get back into the game but I absolutely hated it when it came out. MechWarrior 1-4 raised me and I feel bad for hating on 5 so much.

Just kill them first, that's what I did the one time I my only option was live crab. I just looked it up on YouTube then went to work.

That's too funny. Just the other day I was trying to explain to someone how channels used to turn off at night.

I made a bison strip steak and mashed potatoes with a red wine cream gravy and sprinkled some crispy prosciutto on it. The steak was medium because that's my wife's jam. I skipped dinner.

I liked Dune but fell asleep during Blade Runner, twice.

First I'd heard of a trilogy as well so I did some digging I don't really see them fitting the next book into one movie since they split the first book into two. But what do I know, IIRC the second book is shorter.

Had a date night and went to Red Square and then to a comedy show featuring Hasan Minhaj. The food was great, the vodka was great, and the show was... wait for iiiiiiiiiiiiiittttt, fantastic. Though there was a medical emergency towards the end of the show when some guy had a seizure. They stopped the show and got him an ambulance right away and he was supposedly doing okay afterwards. I thought it might kill the show's momentum but Hasan was able to get the crowd back into it before moving on and finishing his set.
