  1. You took the word right out of my mouth. Even though the Darkside on both Kotor I & II are just you being a boring bully and thats it....no Dark Jedi would do that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> At least KOTOR2 had some better Darkside options. For example, on Dxun: Kumus: Don't press that button! You'll set off the permacrete detonators. Exile: [press button] What, this button? And of course: Exile: [Force Persuade] You will jump in the central pit. Thugs: Argh...I can't resist....yes, jumping down central pit will get us to the ground faster....... And.... [Lie] The laigraks are dead. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Come on, KOTOR 1 had MUCH better DS options. You could be so ridiculously evil.
  2. Mira vs. Ubese. Impossible. I refused to level up, so I had to hope for bugs in the A.I. - Places where I could shoot them down one-by-one at long range without them reacting. Works here and there, but eventually you just have to escape.
  3. KOTOR 2 is no slouch, I have no big complaints. I definitely think KOTOR 1 is better though, and I'm not even halfway through it yet. K1 that is. Admittedly K2 has a much better interface and nicer robes.
  4. I think that's as far as the cut content let you go. In the full ending, he was going to There's a conversation in the coding to that effect.
  5. To be fair, gaining influence with Mandalore had no use. No bonuses, no jedification.
  6. It says he was deafened to the force from all the deaths. It says he ran from the force out of fear. It says he utterly severed ties with the force. I'm sure it says other things too.
  7. Bao-Dur is only influenced through actions, never dialogue. Do three or four lightside deeds with him in your party, then talk to him. Then throw him out, go all out DS and watch his alignment plunge.
  8. So Kreia says. In fact, I think I'll spoiler tag that. Even though this is the spoilers forum, I've heard loads I didn't want to hear, especially about KOTOR I.
  9. Discworld was just ridiculous. It didn't even tell you what the puzzles were. It would give you a screen and expect you to accomplish things. When you got something wrong? "That doesn't work!". Thank god for walkthroughs. I read Pratchett, so I knew what I had to do in the butterfly puzzle. Couldn't do it, though...
  10. I think the instances of 'insight' were classed as being the voices. Weak excuses aside, I think a lot of the 'voices' were cut.
  11. It's difficult to tell if that's true - The game contradicts itself.
  12. I remember being really disappointed with the Nosferatu playthrough. Yeah, I had to be sneaky. So what? I was hoping that I'd be allied with the Nossie clans and get my orders directly from Gary (boss...). Instead, I get two different bits of dialogue from him, including a haven that is utterly useless by the time you get it, and impossible to find if you don't already know where it is. I'd recommend being a Malk. BRILLIANT dialogue and their Dementation power is great as a weapon and a conversation influencer, so to speak. It's cool to kill people with your mind and have nobody else know. Plus, people react to you uniquely, and you can have arguments with your TV and a stop sign downtown.
  13. Handmaiden. She makes a nice guardian. With Disciple, I already have a consular and I don't need a labstation. Ever. Plus, I hate him. He grates and irritates.
  14. That's just there because (HUGE KOTOR1 SPOILER IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED IT) .

  16. I liked the influence system; it felt realistic and I had good luck with it. I think I got Kreia to open up by bottoming her influence out, though - When I did as I pleased on my first playthrough (I was DS) and murderated left at right, I had almost her whole history at the early stages of Citadel Station. When I knew the game better and played to gain influence - Taking her out of the party to slay innocents, being manipulative etc., it took forever (two optional planets in, I think) just to find the answer to the 'Jedi or Sith' question. I think there should be opportunities for influence with everyone on every planet. Also, there were parts where companions would compliment you on an action (e.g. ), but you'd gain no influence. Probably an oversight. There should be more conversation options in general, though - Bao-Dur especially is a disgrace. You've heard everything he has to say before you even build your saber, regardless of which planet you do it on.
  17. ^Yeah, you have no choice but to throw her into the abyss. A fitting end. It would be better if she were still alive and screamed on the way down. The futures of your allies are different, too - e.g. Handmaiden will
  18. ^Intelligence gives something, too. Damned if I know what.
  19. I think it's if you have high influence with Handmaiden or Visas. You don't need influence with HK. You can ask the same question to Hanharr, too.
  20. It's a stupid mission. You have to kill the toll guards. If you've dealt with them any other way (which you probably have, before you even spoke to Lootra or Aaida), you can't win it. Just kill Lootra for his Lightsaber part, you can only get it by reuniting him and Aaida or killing him. Disappointing.
  21. 1 & 2: Oversights. 3: You were unconscious for ages. She uses the same technique to kill and strip the force from the Jedi Masters. 4: No idea, sorry. 5: Because you're DS I played DS first time and got that. It doesn't show you with the DS taint though, which is dumb. I preferred when Traya was there on my second playthrough. 6: She's disappointed in you for being consumed by bloodlust and vengeance. It's proof that you learned nothing of what she taught... If it's the same scene. See, I killed the final Master at the Enclave so the dialogue may have been different.
  22. Beautiful quote. Also, on Onderon, after a battle with bounty hunters: Random old man: "I heard there was some kind of Sith Lord in the Western Square, killing people with his mind" I wanted to take a bow.
  23. Yeah. Kreia likes you to value her teachings and opinions, and also to mistrust her and everyone else. You get the 'you're lying' option if you have high awareness when asking about Atris and the Council mentioning her. It doesn't affect influence. Hold no loyalty or trust for anyone. Be willing to use and drop any given person, including her. Crave power. I'm surprised that you gain influence with her on Korriban for saying that nobody is below redemption. Sounds too lightsided for Kreia. Essentially, Kreia is DS. She just doesn't believe in going to extremes. 90% of her influence is gained through mildly DS responses and actions.
