  1. I agree, it adds a lot of replayability if there were all those options. I

    Books!

I'm really pumped to see that movie and now that you mention it I'm going to look for that book.
  4. Was there a darth between vader and maul? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well the only note worthy DSer between Maul and Vader was Dooku who was refered to as count.
  5. Why not be able to play a non-jedi PC. It would give it some replayability. Also, Jedi are an integral part of Star Wars but to no extent are they the centre of the universe. There are times where the universe was in the hands of a scoundrel or a droid. There are countless times in the movie where R2-D2 or even Jar Jar Binx!!!!!! made all the difference. My point is a non-jedi PC is not a bad thing and in many ways it would probably solve many people's "difficulty" problem. Face it even if we do become non-jedi in the beginning of the game without a shadow of doubt you are going to be the uber, chosen one, unstoppable, master of the universe jedi (or Sith) in the end..........Obviously. Just on a side note isn't watching the main character evolve from the everyday person to a Jedi interesting: Luke & Anakin :D or sith of course :cough: Vader :cough:
  6. I have been watching episode 5 Empire Strikes Back and becoming a Jedi was a very hard process where Luke failed on many different occasions. Of course Yoda was his instructor and was very strict but that was the way it had to be. Becoming a jedi should be more climatic and I personally feel it should be a turning point. K1 was on the right track but they sort of skipped most of the process to where it was allmost just a sidequest. K2 was a sorry excuse for Jedi training (or Sith). I feel this should be implied if there is any more jedification. I mean it should be difficult to the point where you do fail and learn that way. Trials where the PC must act like a Jedi and not really a hero.
  7. Just talking theoretically, it seems most of the rumors are aiming towards the end 2006 but for what it looks like Xbox 360. So would that mean it is going to use the same engine? Cause thats not really going to push the Xbox 360 to its limits to no extent. Sort of a waste in terms of the platform but I guess with Xbox 360's line up as of now it certainly needs a "Savior"... How credible is Xbox magazine on like a scale of 1 to 10?
  8. here my favourite blade... not to shiny works just the same
  9. If I read that right, you're wrong. The Sith were a race, that has been gone for ages. The first Sith Empire was not made up of fallen or potential Jedi, it was made up by the Sith species. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What!?!?! First it was called 'True Sith', and now a 'Sith Species'.... What type of drugs are people smoking!?!?! Are people trying to take elements from 'The New Jedi Order' series, and intermix them with 'KotOR'??? I think that 'The New Jedi Order' series created a massive mess. There is no 'Sith Species'... There is no such thing as a 'True Sith'... The Sith are fallen Jedi, potential Jedi, or Force Sensitives. There are no alien 'species' called 'Sith'... Regardless about how they fall into the darkside, their species background has nothing to do with it... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So why does it mention "true sith species" on the load screens. I believe canon or not that the species itself is part of kotor at some point because it does mention them in the game. But to an extent they are only noteworthy and not really any impact because they were supposely extinct. True Sith can be many different things and Kriea as cryptic as she is does not elaborate to well. There are several ways you can look at true sith. A couple people already touched on this before on other threads but true sith could be a dark force. Not necessarily a sith armada but true sith darkness maybe an ancient sith's empire teachings or something down those lines. Maybe there is a grand sith aramda remnants of ludo kresh's army left unchecked and flourishing. The actual species or half-breeds but honestly most far fetched since there are to be extinct according to both games. Personally, I like the idea of true sith as a dark force then anything else because light and dark have been smeered so much that maybe a true darkness will be the epic story that the kotor series deserve.
  10. So you play RPG (ROLE PLAYING GAME) not for the story but for the action I think you're playing the wrong game genre. Try Halo there's a lot action without the pesky storyline. Just so you get it a RPG is supposed to have an emersive deep storyline which where the PC can interact and "role play" (hmm oh that's why they call it an RPG) with the game. Dialouge plays a big role in this obviously in any worth while story. You know what, it's gamers like you whom the game designers feel they can get away with a helf-ass story and a few options <_< for a RPG
  11. It's all an conspiracy
  12. Nihilus had a background?
  13. It may not really be news but darkhorse comics is coming out with a kotor series. In a interview with John Jackson Miller the writer for the upcoming series hints at a possible K3 to tie in with the release of the comic book series Link It's a long article but just scroll down to the very bottom.
  14. I know I will be ending up buying this title but if anyone have any insight into the game it would be appreciated. To make this a bit clear I thought PoP1 was fun experience which a lot of good qualities... Now having said that I am not dissapointed with PoP2 but the different path they have now taken is not an approvement. More or less I just want to know which path they have now taken for this new game.
  15. Nice thread going on here
  16. Needless to say but Malak wasn't that successful either.
  17. I voted for T3. I found that no matter what variation of gender and alignment I was playing T3 was always my right hand man er.... droid.
  18. I never really noticed but next time I play I'll keep an eye out. I have been playing K1 and after my second planet when I returned to the Ebon Hawk my T3 turned into Zaalbar. Now I have two Zaalbars. When I left the Ebon Hawk and you get that screen with the NPC's where T3 would be there's a Zaalbar. Now every time I enter and leave the ship there's a new Zaalbar. I'm at 12 Zaalbars  and I'm this close to make rugs Anyone else came across this?
  19. I'll try it... My sith will be unstoppable with all these dark jedi
  20. That's great researching on your part and logically putting all the pieces together. I think there are a lot of good ideas for any possible K3. There's no shortage of that but to implement the plot is the tricky part. For instance, who is Revan? or the Exile? Our generated characters or developer fill-ins. How do past NPC's impact the future or who will be the new PC? Not to mention all the lose ends of K2. Will they be answered or left as it is? I actually really like your idea.
  21. What was that mission exactly?
  22. I have just done DS for K1 and I let Juhani live so that maybe I could turn her... (I know it won't work) but I really wanted to see if some of her evil side would rise but damn she was even more of a bitch than Bastila for doing DS things. You would think that maybe her anger or emotional attachments would lead her back down the dark path but it didn't. A very strong will. I regretted not choppin her down- wait I did on top of the temple along with jolee Ah good memories Darth Revan & Bastila
  23. They actually let me kill Vrook I enjoyed all 13 seconds of it... just if I could have tortured him more Stupid Jedi
  24. The old guard outside the wookie village just after the czerka office. He starts insulting me cause I was some sort of wookie lover and on top of that they didn't let you kill the son of a *****. Oooh how bad I wanted to slice him like Darth Maul
  25. That's very true but this is Star Wars. It's all about good and evil or Jedi and Sith.
