Who says we are trying to let him live? Murdering the whole caravan on TCS for the lulz! :-D -- To Lasci - figurine isn't a valid tactic anymore since they jacked up the price, which was ridicilous tbh. TCS is hard enough as it is. Also to OP. That Madhmar bridge Xaurip Skirmisher isn't too bad - I lost a lot of toons to Xaurip Priests one shotting me for 80 burn damage - that's the worst. You can actaully outrun the xaurip with a chanter, if you take the movement speed chant, which is a tactic I use. I got to lvl5 without using potions/traps, just running around with the chanter and letting my phantom do the dirty work. I don't think fighter is a candidate for TCS due to the lack of DPS, unless you stash up an endless amount of potions and dont get stunlocked? I haven't used traps/potions yet. I'm trying to get through without. Probably impossible.

1.3 boots of speed
Sir Rogers replied to mrmonocle's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
On a side-note, where did you loot them? -
"Hey look at me, I abused an exploit. I could spam infinite seals. Or hey my character has 300 bugstacked DR, I beat the game easily. Please make it harder." - Neither of those grant you the right to speak on balance for the rest of us. You can report the exploit, but that would be about it since you got no experience in actually playing the game on PotD but rather on how to exploit your way through it without actually dealing with the content in a reasonable way.

There's nothing wrong with partaking in a discussion, but when you're throwing words around like "they shouldn't do .. X" and "balance" you're doing a bit more than that. You're taking a side, and without actual experience on what it's like for people who play PotD solo, you're making balance suggestions to the community and the devs. Changes you would most probably not suggest if you had actually tried the gamemode you're talking about.

Game stucked after kill Thaos
Sir Rogers replied to Emeus's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
No, it is because I am soloing, the titan at right side won't see my character after fight start, so after I killed boss and the other titan, the fight is over, it should open a dialogue right now but there is a left enemy, and this is how the bug produced. So I try to petrify three of them and killed them in a single fight, the dialogue pops out normally, still they should fix this. That's what I meant. Thaos has to be the last to die. You could split all 3, kill both titans first and then kill Thaos last then it would be alright. How long does petrify last? And can you reuse the traps after the battle and they have been triggered? Or they vanish if they get triggered? I haven't gotten the chance to use traps yet. -
Reckless Assault - Bugged
Sir Rogers posted a question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Reckless Assault doesn't cancel. I started it out of battle and now it's permanently there in my PotD Tripple Crown play. It even went to -16 deflection and +16 accuracy when I switched from woods into town, then went back to -8/+8 when I entered the inn. -
Game stucked after kill Thaos
Sir Rogers replied to Emeus's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I would assume it's because you were powergaming. The normal bossfight you cant kill Thaos before you kill both Titans. Thaos transfers his essence into one of them first. Thaos has to die last. That's when the fight ends, afaik. That's how my bossfight went. -
Monks will actually have the highest DPS throughput from any class lategame, especially on Path of the Damned difficulty. Why? Beause their "unarmed" unenchanted fists actually have a higher accuracy than the best enchanted weapon, and since the biggest problem is hitting attacks later in the game and on the harder difficulty level - monk wins.

BUG - Talent - Two-handed Style
Sir Rogers replied to Sir Rogers's question in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I understand. The tooltip just really is totally not clear on it - that's the only thing that would need fixing. I had to optimize my characters to beat the game on easy for the final fight. -- While we are at it. There is an amulet that gives 1.15x healing, named amulet. But there is no specification in the decription of the item of what that actually does. Does it give +15% healing done by this character or +15% healing received by this character? There the tooltip also isn't clear. I tried equipping it and checked spells that heal, they had no change in their value. -
Are you actually able to evade scripted/mandatory fights like that? I was under the impression that certain fights cannot end until all enemies are dead. Also I'm wondering what weapons you're using then? A slow high damage ranged weapon due to the DR? Also when it says in the wiki for monster X: DR: 10 Burn: 5, Freeze: 20 Does that mean the DR for burn is 5 or 15? And for all types not listed it's 10 then? And for Freeze it's 20 or 25?

So. I decided to stop my PotD run for a bit to play the actual game (on easy). I didn't minmax, I went with 5 of the pre-configured pretty crappy companinos (except the priest, he has the right stats). I got absolutely owned in the endgame fight, and that's with 6 people on easy. Now I can see how someone with high stealth can sneak past the non-necessary encounters to try and get to the end of the game, but I don't see how one person can win the endfight on PotD if I can't even give it a casual run with a full troup on easy without having my ass handed to me.
