  1. Yes to that ... if you want to kill enemies quickly before they hit you. And even more so, if there is a bit support from within your party.
  2. Your aura will suffer and not be large enough to include more than your direct neighbors. Paladin base aura range is 4.0m ... which only covers a bit more the Paladin and two melee neighbors ... since the diameter of one hero is 0.5*2=1.0m. Anyone a few more steps away from the Paladin ... as your casters and summons ... would not benefit from the aura. Lower INT will also reduce the duration of a few talents you may want to use. When I'm playing an offensive Paladin, the attributes are distributed differently.
  3. Hi guys! I don't understand the ingame explanations for the chants and invocations ... which are not clear, because they don't tell how the Intellect attribute affects them. INT affects the "Linger" duration of chants. - Okay! INT affects the AoE of invocations. - Okay! INT affects the AoE of chants ...does it or doesn't it? - What is the base "Foe Aura" range? INT affects the effect duration of chants ... somehow. - How? Come, Come Soft Winds of Death Foe Aura: -6 Endurance over 6.0 sec That is with INT 10. And with INT 19, which increases duration by 45% and AoE by 54%, it is: Come, Come Soft Winds of Death Foe Aura: -6.6 Endurance over 6.9 sec That is less damage over time ... isn't it? Or how is it calculated? Where does the increase of 0.9 sec come from? Why does changed Intellect affect the damage? And not only changed Might? If raising Might, a +24% because of Might 18 also affects the damage. From -6 Endurance to -7.4 Endurance. Dull the Edge, Blunt the Point Foe Aura: -10% Slash, Pierce Damage for base 6.0 sec That is with INT 10. And with INT 19 it is: Dull the Edge, Blunt the Point Foe Aura: -10% Slash, Pierce Damage for base 6.9 sec The increase of the duration is 0.9 sec and not 2.7 which would be 45%. The increase of the "Linger" is 0.9 sec, which is 45% of 2.0 sec. The duration of summons is not affected. Where is all this explained in a good way?
  4. If unarmed, your weapons are your fists ... so yes, two weapons fighting applies to unarmed, too.
  5. Also happened to me ... without mods ... but I could pick up the loot after resting. https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/84294-supply-and-demand-cant-complete-ondra-gift-cant-loot/?do=findComment&comment=1775723
  6. My Paladin has cleared the Caed Nua Great Hall ... without using Fan of Flames scrolls ... and without dumping DEX. And it's been one of the easier fights actually much to my surprise.
  7. My favourite track so far has been the theme for Russetwood.
  8. And even with CON 3 you could give the poor dude a CON raising item. I would not go down to 3. It looks too much like an attempt at sacrificing CON only to get some more points for MIG and INT. Why not limit yourself to a max of 15 or 16? Ciphers have low health to begin with ... so reduce it by some points to match the bad condition of your hero ... but not down to 3.
  9. Ancient videos on youtube don't interest me ... as they are for POE 1.0 something and don't apply to 2.03 and later anymore. They serve as misleading examples. Now in my growing manual: To enter Madhmr Bridge from the west where no Xaurip Skirmisher is waiting ... one first needs to activate the area on the world map by leaving Black Meadow to the south and then not travel to Madhmr Bridge from there. Later, one can travel from Gilded Vale or Magran's Fork directly to Madhmr Bridge west entry.
  10. The berries are just ingredients for the cure ... which somebody else from the caravan would create for you, if they got the chance to do that. So, no, that won't happen. Eeventually you will need to rest to be cured.
  11. When will the next patch be released to fix what has been reported for the beta ... and has not been fixed in 3.0?
  12. It's unsafe enough ... that even a retrained chanter with max RES, Minor Ring of Deflection and Weapon and Shield talent is hit too often. I had hoped that TCS would require me to rest with a bonus, eat some food, prepare some potions and scrolls ... but not that I would need to try this fight dozens of times or search for a tiny corner in the great hall where maybe only a single phantom can target me. Edit: max Resolve
  13. First I would need to reach Maerwald, ... but I cannot rest on the prison level ... I cannot summon the animat anymore, since it is once per rest only. And there are too many spiders for a single chanter and Trial of Iron mode. Not that I know of. There's a way out to the west, but no way in from Anslög's Compass area. You've completed a TCS run? It's an immediate attack by a Xaurip Skirmisher ... you would need to break engagement and risk a hit that would Paralyze you. The vast majority of the classes have escape abilities? Which classes are that ... at level 4? It's still more than 2000 XP to level 5.
  14. At Madhmr Bridge I had the summoning horn from Gilded Vale already and survived the encounter. Sometime later I had less success with my first TCS attempt against four phantoms and two shadows in the keep's great hall ... what a disappointment! ... Much much worse than a single xaurip skirmisher. The summoned Animat barely survived long enough for my chanter to get the first phantom. I managed to talk to the steward, open the door and get down into the dungeon ... and above, the groups now wait near the front door.
  15. Fighter has been in my OP list so far. Not as much damage as a monk and rogue ... sure ... but unbreakable, not in need of much support, and if turning them into aggressive berserkers instead of defensive blockers, they become a very dangerous and helpful member of a party.
  16. Damnit! Here I've just found another wacky party I need to give a try eventually.
  17. It's a confirmed bug: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/84130-elmshore-task-failed-the-sealed-missive
  18. Its icon is that of a Minor Cloak of Protection, but on the character it looks like the ice-blue Cloak of the Frozen Hunt.
  19. How reproducible is it for you? For this issue ... it may be helpful to upload both the savegame before trying to pick up the item and the savegame after you've picked it up. Check out the MUST READ sticky topic for instructions.
  20. There is a MUST READ sticky topic in this forum. If you follow the instructions ... you learn about uploading files to a service like dropbox.com.
  21. On the map, what do you see? ... Do you see the next area called "Valewood"?
  22. The older saves load fine ... and you also get an option to "level up" your casters in order to choose per encounter spells.
