  1. It is. The same thing will happen - the old, poor and uneducated schmucks will vote yes. And we have a lot of those, to the point that I was already seriously considering moving.
  2. I like the people who spin this as a hit against the establishment. As an outsider to the UK this looks to me like the old establishment completely reasserting its control by making the poor and dumb vote for them again by spreading fear.
  3. Vote breakdown showed that leave had the strongest support among the poor and uneducated. I'd tell them to go **** themselves, but it looks like they beat me to it.
  4. I participated in a 6 Winston team. The weirdest thing is that we won in record speed. Just goes to show Overwatch's biggest issue - hero stacking in teams always beats a "balanced" team. The nature of the rock-paper-scissors counter playstyle means you can only beat a stack with another stack. That doesn't allow for interesting or creative decisions in your gameplay. I know people want to play their waifu, but at least limit the amount of a hero on a single team to 2.
  5. Ordered some parts for my new desktop. Hate being without a computer, but my laptop got fried. My power supply, motherboard and hard drive all died at the same time, I'm assuming my power supply dying blew some fuse inside it and the power surge killed the rest.
  6. Saw the Conjuring 2 which was an enjoyable haunted house romp with some cool scares. About par for the course for James Wan. If you liked the first one, or the first Insidious movie, you'll like this. It's a cliche story done well.
  7. Almost every negative review I've read of this movie states "this is no Lord of the Rings". I missed the part where it ever claimed, pretended or seemed like it would be.
  8. Hero stacking is starting to absolutely ruin my enjoyment of Overwatch. The game pretends you need diverse teams, but people are starting to find out a stacked team beats a diverse team every single time and the only way to defeat a stacked team is by getting another stacked team. Having to go 4 Pharah to counter 4 Torbjorn is not a meaningful choice in your gameplay, it's the only way to deal with it. I hope Blizz is going to remove hero stacking, or at least limit it to 2 per team.
  9. Low level kensai doesn't really have much of an edge over regular fighters, and they are decidedly at a disadvantage because no armor and you don't get good AC bracers until later on. Kagain is an excellent tank, but since there is no "threat" in the BG games to speak of, kensai requires a hell of a lot of micromanagement, more or less the way you described, because your "tanks" will not be able to reliably keep enemies from attacking other characters in melee range. Go in, put down the hurt, get out before they can strike back. Prioritise archers and especially mages, but keep in mind that even clerics can give you a run for your money one-on-one, if they can get some buffs off. It doesn't get better in BG2 either, which is why kensages are so popular. edit: best item for a kensai, bar none: Boots of Speed Kensai-Thief=Use Any Item=Best
  10. It's a trademark law thing. You have to act like you defend your trademark otherwise you might lose it. The Overwatch porno specifically targeted is those that took assets like models, animations, textures etc. straight out of the game. If Blizzard allowed that, someone could use that in a case as to why they would be allowed to use those assets in pretty much anything because Blizzard didn't treat it like a company trademark and let someone run amok with them. Now Blizzard has cases on record where they defended their trademark, even if futile. As for Disney, Disney is well-known for bringing lawsuits to things like kindergartens if they have Mickey Mouse murals. Disney is insanely aggressive about this stuff. Much moreso than Blizzard, a company that leaves private WoW servers alone until they start advertising that they have 100'000 members like idiots.
  11. Director Duncan Jones is also a hardcore fan. But yeah, it's extremely jam packed. Scenes that are supposed to have an emotional core are bogged down with exposition. @Barti: You're right, but I actually didn't mean it as in "this would get a 6 out of 10 from me" but more like movies like this generally get 60% on Rotten Tomatoes. There's something else at work here, possibly that weird dislike critics have of anything video games.
  12. Fimmel is completely unlikeable in the movie. And I get the comparison - like I said in the movie thread, the orc half seems like a modern, grand and sweeping fantasy story while the human half looks like 80's sword and sorcery stuff. It's an uneven movie, I'd think it was worth about 60% on Rotten Tomatoes.
  13. All I have seen him in is Divergent, in which I only thought of him as an extremely bad actor.
  14. WarCraft was very, very okay. Not sure why it's rated so low on Rotten Tomatoes so far. Should be about 60%. Very ambitious but falls short. The orc stuff feels like it's trying to be sweeping, epic fantasy with a heart when the human stuff is more... 80's fantasy flick. Doesn't mesh great. It's a collection of scenes of which some are absolutely fantastic and some are just silly and bad. Biggest misstep is Lothar's casting - Travis Fimmel's Lothar is entirely unlikeable and I felt myself rooting for the CG Orcs much more than the humans because of that.
  15. People in Overwatch, please oh dear god please play the objective instead of chasing kills in the middle of nowhere. This is getting very tiresome. It reminds me of World of WarCraft PvP where people would stand in the middle of the battleground and try to kill each other for honor points instead of capturing the flag, but there aren't even any honor points to earn.
  16. For someone who has never played a Total War game, is this a good one to get in to?
  17. Yes, and I gave you kudos for that? Methinks you might be a little too easy to search out arguments there.
  18. That moment in Overwatch when you're the support but you're the only one capturing the point because everyone else is standing five feet away from it to fight the opponent's tank.
  19. I like how your explanation leaves out the actual reason but still makes sense. Kudos. The Eagles are servants of Manwe who has forbidden them to interfere with mortal business and only occassionally do favors for Gandalf, who is a Maiar and not mortal. EDIT: I see Nonek said this already, I accidentally read over his post.
  20. I'd pick Arrow, actually. It's got enough fuel to make fun of, whereas BvS is aggressively boring.
  21. Decent is all I'm hoping for, really.
  22. *hyperbole detected* Not saying you have to think the film was good, but c'mon. The end credits were what? Too small? Too fast? Not long enough? And they didn't to my memory, have a scene start in the day, go to night and end in the day with about 10 minutes of in-movie time having passed. So its got that over, say, an Ed Wood film. I don't count end credits.
  23. One of the best at being terrible. HEYOO. Seriously though, there was not a single element in that movie that was good. Not one single thing was even halfway decent. No hyperbole. People told me at least Batman was good, but even that's not true. His fight scenes made me laugh out loud at how stupid they were.
  24. Superunknown is one of the best rock albums ever made. One "grunge" band that stuck with me is Screaming Trees. Although really only referred to as grunge because it was the area and time.
