  1. Japan's new Monster Mash movie.
  2. One of my favourite so bad it's good movies is Tomb Raider. It is the ultimate bad 90's action flick.
  3. The reviewers I've listened to say it's not that bad, it's just incredibly boring.
  4. Just blasted Purple Rain so hard my neighbours started yelling. How else would one honor Prince?
  5. Hah, yeah same here - I remember trying to hold my own in a discussion with Metadigital - and not doing so well... or just discussing politics as a young ideological Scandinavian on an American board heh Metadigital handed my metaphorical butt to me a coupleof times too.
  6. Thanks, but it really just seems that way since everyone else has somehow gotten dumber.
  7. Intimidating. As a 16 year old, and with all the regulars we used to have of which some sadly left, this place was much smarter than me. I was just here to talk about Star Wars and to get someone to explain to me what the hell KotOR 2 was supposed to be about.
  8. I would read the hell out of that version of The Lord of the Rings.
  9. Happy birthday Calax! I'm still 2 years away from the big 30. But I've been here since I was 16. I went from a little immature brat to a bigger immature brat in this place. Ah, memories.
  10. Yeah you're right, but I'm just messing around.
  11. You know... it's pretty obvious who is to blame for this. There was a certain group very clearly saying that SJWs should stop forcing their agenda on other game developers and if they wanted more SJW games they should go make them themselves. Now they're pissy because some of them listened?
  12. I always assumed his running was just a publicity stunt for his business anyway, so that's not all that wacky. He just came so far that his massive ego took over.
  13. Then my considerable mod powers are not at your disposal. *crosses arms*
  14. I'm open for bribing. My price is Overwatch beta access.
  15. Yeah, ridiculous joke thread gets ridiculous joke response so I decided to go overboard (and will continue to do so about this ridiculously painful election cycle). But seriously, he won't literally destroy it but like Longknife pointed out, electing this guy is a surefire way to get widespread rioting. Not for very long, though, because I guarantee within six months he will have done something so mindblowingly idiotic that he'll get impeached. But since these choices came out of a democratic system, I guess it's no less than the US deserves. It's like being forced to choose between using a fake phallus covered in fish hooks and one that's perpetually on fire.
  16. It was just Aliens more than it was Doom. The first person section was hilarious and probably the most fun I've had in a video game movie. I also thought Prince of Persia was barely passable entertainment and while Silent Hill didn't capture the subtle horror of the games at all, it looked amazing. So we're starting to get there a little bit. But this year we've got three - a Ratchet and Clank movie, WarCraft and Assassin's Creed. If one of those is hugely succesful, it might open the door for more videogame movies and at a certain point they might start getting good. I mean, we had to sit through a lot of Daredevils to get a Dark Knight, didn't we? Personally, my money is on WarCraft.
  17. My first thought would be "aren't they the same?" Then I'd say Trump because he'll absolutely destroy the US and widen the class and race divides to the point that actual change becomes inevitable. Plus, as a foreign spectator that will be hilarious to watch.
  18. Oh, me too. It took superhero movies 20 years to start getting good, I want video game movies to get a headstart.
  19. Other than the blasted wabbajack music, it's exceeded my expecations. To be fair, my expectations were low.
  20. Not sure about that casting being for Mary-Jane, but if it is I do care a little. She's pretty much the fiery redhead trope at her core, there isn't all that much else to her, but more than that I like redheads and I was looking forward to them finding and casting a new hot redhead actress for me to ogle.
  21. I dunno, bills have been drafted and such. So far they've been getting voted down. Dolphins especially, considering their demonstrable self-awareness and cognitive complexity. They also go to war and rape each other, which seems like the clearest indicator of being human-like in intelligence.
  22. I dunno, there's been campaigns to grant personhood to at least Chimpanzees and Dolphins for a while now.
  23. No, I was using him since he was an example given in the discussion before. "It was like when the DragonBall Z film announced the actor for Goku. As soon as I found out it was a white boy, I knew the rest was going to be garbage." I woulda gone for my aryan boy Naruto if that hadn't been mentioned. But even in the classics, does Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop look asian? I don't think so. I'm pretty sure he's drawn to look latino or something.
  24. Well, the reason it bothered me in Avatar is because the skin color was tied with the real life cultures that informed their culture. The Fire Nation was Japan, Earth Kingdom was China, Water Tribe was Inuit and Air Nomads was Tibet. It didn't help that the entire culture aspect felt absent for the entire film. Fire Nation stuff just looked like random evil guy architecture and outfits. M Night tried to make up his own cultures entirely which is a rotten shame since there is so much rich background and real life inspiration to draw from. I guess if they had done a good job otherwise, it might not have bothered me so much, but none of the actors could even pronounce their OWN character's names! EDIT: Apparently Jungle Book is really cool. If it makes a lot of money, maybe we can get a Talespin flick with the same cast. :D
