Because you seem to be under the impression that everyone working on it had to have know, which simply isn't true. There is only one possible reason why I seem to be under that impression to you and it's that you didn't read what I said because that is the core premise of scenario B.
-
Situation D: It's "working" but can't get past the Van Allen belt, though we will tell everyone that it can. Situation E: It's "working" but we know that micrometeorites will make Swiss cheese out of it. Situation n: It's ''working" but we can't get past some problem so will stay quiet about it. I don't know how the moon landing program worked but it wouldn't be a stretch to say that it was compartmentalized, going by previous operations done by the US. Everyone would do their part and know about their part only. Um. If it's not working, it's a dud. So that's either B or C. Why are you under the impression you offered new scenario's here?
-
This makes your argument even less logical. Situation A: It's working. We just decided not to send it up and make a fake video instead. Situation B: It's "working" wink wink and none of the multitudes of massively smart engineers and scientists working on it realize it's a dud despite how much access engineers, mathematicians and scientists would need to have to the plans due to the math and physics required. It's not just "some guy who makes the screws", after all. Situation C: It's "working" wink wink and every single one of those engineers and scientists are in on it, and none of them have ever let the secret slip. None of them make sense.

So... to fake the moon landing and keep it a secret they had to spend millions to build an actual working Lunar module?

Oh man, I was excited for that once I saw the trailer and then I totally forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me!

I think the real question is... can rocket fuel met steel beams?

The hell? Got a message from my landlord that he was receiving complaints from other tenants about how loud my music is. I almost exlusively wear headphones. Literally the only thing I even can play music on are my crappy laptop speakers. I don't own a TV and while I own a surround set that is in a box in the basement three floors below. I have an acoustic guitar that I pick up and doodle with about once a week in the middle of the day.

I feel awful but I laughed at that so hard. But yeah, every parent I know too.

I second what Hurl said. My older brother was the exact same way. He tried to set the house on fire several times when he was 5 (don't ask me how, I don't know, I was only 1 at the time) and tried all manners of therapy and meds, none of which worked. After a couple of years, he calmed down and become a gentle ol' lug. I'm always surprised by how quick people on the internet (especially Americans) are to throw mental disorder terms like ADHD or depression around. Just feeling sad or angsty isn't depression, being an introvert does not mean you have an anxiety disorder and a kid acting out doesn't have to mean he's got developmental problems. I blame angry parents - when you've got stressed out people ready to explode in your office, I assume most doctors won't just say "doesn't seem to be anything wrong his brain, he just seems to like acting like a ****head".

Hey, it's his right to add absolutely nothing of value to the world. Just like it is for people who make threads here nowadays, it seems.

Haha, that's amazing. I guess they were just super excited they got to kick something?

It wasn't hectic, it was just loud. No idea what was going on, upstairs neighbours haven't been there that long so I didn't bother to ask. Also, if they broke my door down I wouldn't be telling you lot, I'd be finding a place to hide their corpses.
-
Been up since 4 AM because the police came and knocked my upstairs neighbours' door down for some reason and then immediately called someone to put in a new door.

While I don't have kids of my own, I recently babysat three little demonspawn at the same time as a favour for someone and I'm not exaggerating when I say I liked root canal better.

Geeze, well I don't know about depression but that'd make anyone go a little mad from the stress.
-
Well I'd say that might be stretching the meaning of the word "irritable" a little, but since Zoloft is also used to treat a bunch of things related to stressful stimuli up to and including PTSD, it should in theory work for your complaints. Hope it works out for you. NINJA'D: No, Gromnir's sis was pretty accurate. They didn't make me happy, but they did prevent me from trying to crawl into a dark little hole and die.

I think I was lucky in that I started with that one and it worked without giving me all kinds of weird side effects. I hear lots of people get shuffled from one kind of meds to another.
-
That's true, but it does recognize it as a symptom of other disorders. Which leads me back to not knowing the diagnosis or medication (and Oerwinde is obviously under no obligation to reveal any of those things and I feel kinda bad his meds became a subject of debate, sorry Oerwinde). I'm just saying it's unlikely to be depression because anger is not a symptom of it. Either way, I hope whatever they gave Oerwinde helps. I took an antidepressant called citalopram for a long time and it certainly helped me. It was, however, a complete bitch to stop taking. While I was weaning off I felt like I was being electrocuted all the time because my brain chemistry was changing. That lasted several months.

You clearly have a lot of experience with it, judging by the fact you obviously don't know what it is.

Yes, but if you check the source for those statements you'll find an outdated article that still classifies bipolar disorder (a.k.a. manic depressive disorder) as a form of depression which hasn't been the case for several years. Either way, bipolar depression is actually aggravated by using inhibitors, which 99% of antidepressants are. If you read it, you'll notice that they even point out that anger is not recognized as a symptom of depression by the DSM. But it's all a moot point considering there is a pretty big gap between anger and throwing stuff across the room rage. EDIT: Either way, I'm not saying Oerwinde's doctor is wrong. I'm just expressing my surprise. I don't know what kind of diagnosis he got or which antidepressants he got, considering almost no doctor bothers to mention the difference between sedatives, inhibitors (actual antidepressants) and stimulants used to treat mood disorders. Which is unfortunate, because it has led to the idea that "antidepressants" are overprescribed and people who suffer from mood disorders like clinical depression are just whiny people who need to suck it up. Mental health is highly undervalued by society as a whole. EDIT EDIT: Wow, the source for those claims is really bad. He spends half his time discussion films and cartoons and then claims on their basis that the DSM is wrong. He literally has two paragraphs talking about an Adam Sandler film in his serious article about anger in bipolar depression. I'm going to go with acknowledged, peer reviewed sources, thanks!
