  1. Jared Leto has signed on to play "Morbius" the Marvel mutant vampire superhero thing. I thought we'd established that Jared's not good at face-painted weirdoes?
  2. Oh good, I was afraid I was going crazy (crazier?) when a whole page went by and everyone just glossed over this.
  3. I live in Holland. I like it enough to stay.
  4. That also sounds intensely frustrating, though.
  5. It might be worth pointing out that that headline is misleading as hell, since it leaves out the fact that he is a CoD pro-gamer and that's how he makes his money. CoD is literally his paying job at this point.
  6. Look at people making fun of somebody who both got to date the sexiest weather girl in the world AND play video games for a living.
  7. Yeah, I'm with injurai. I don't understand why people feel tricked or dirty when they find women attractive and subsequently find something that looks like a woman* attractive. You're still working the same as before? It's like a pin-up drawing, do you feel tricked or dirty when you find out it's a piece of paper? *To get ahead of this, I only phrased it this way to make a point. Trans women don't just "look like", they are women IMO, and I'm not getting into that argument here anymore since there is nothing to gain from repeating the same ad nauseum. If Luzianus was still here he'd post Cassandra's mugshot and a male skull overlay to show you how wrong you are. I wonder where he went... Don't speak its name, it knows. It knows!
  8. I'm jealous of you guys' school nightmares. The last time I dreamt I was back in school, it was in the middle of the night, it was abandoned and overgrown and two "people", one covered in boils and pustules, the other looking like a scarred burn victim, led me to the furthest room in the building and I knew in my soul that they represented my death, and if I followed them into the last room I would die so I stopped following them and struggled as they tried to push me in until I woke up. EDIT: Not to say your nightmares don't sound stressful and weird as hell in their own right. Re-reading my own post made me feel like I was trying to one-up you guys which isn't my intention. I just have problems with night terrors, to the point I have an ongoing prescription for anti-psychotics to help me sleep. I'm glad I don't remember most of them for long.
  9. The last dream I remembered was me going through my day like regular, except there were decomposing corpses everywhere and when I looked at them or acknowledged them they would go towards me so I had to pretend really hard they weren't there.
  10. Alternatively, I'm sure there's a lot of recommendations in your previous 'tell me what to play' threads - threads you are free to ressurect if you need more.
  11. They literally hired the guy who made Slither, Super and of all things, PG Porn. And NOW they realize he makes bad taste jokes?
  12. Breaking news: Investigation into Trump administration reveals no evidence of ties to America.
  13. Bring in Sam Neill, I want him to recreate my favorite gif of all time.
  14. Same, First Aid's been a pointless waste of cloth for years.
  15. And the best part would be all the heat the mainstream media would get from LGBT for homophobic remarks if they criticized him for it Nah, because if he'd be appropriating their culture. "My culture is not your BJ!"
  16. Two suggestions for some lighter entertainment and based on your current shows: The Good Place, and Santa Clarita Diet. I suspect you'll enjoy them if you enjoy Dirk Gently and iZombie.
  17. Paradox Studio Arctic & 505 Games did the console port. Well, there's your answer then. These developers aren't the developers you're looking for.
  18. Ah yes, I must admit I've made a blind dinosaur just like in the article.
  19. Well, this thread's far over the limit and the tourney is over, so I'm closing this. Anyone who wants to continue discussing it, Katphood made a lovely general football thread right over there: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/103784-the-footballsoccer-thread/ Cheers
  20. I saw that one about the First Order not being threatening. Jeremy Jahns is one of my go-to reviewers but lately I feel he seems a little bitter. I hope he's doing okay. Then again, I've noticed all youtube personalities have a period of bitterness as their channels grow.
  21. Enjoy! Try the malasadas. I've always wanted to go there myself. Also, if you enjoy films, they have lots of movie-themed tours owing to how much has been filmed there, including Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park and Pirates of the Carribean. If there's a jungle in a movie, it's probably Kauai. Can I ask what animal name? Those in Africa disliking Europeans due to the colonial history isn't new though. Let's just say it's a specific type of primate known for its furry coat and leave it at that. It's in bad taste enough that I don't want to repeat it.
  22. Good luck man.
  23. I think so, everyone I know is rooting for them.
  24. I don't think there are any. I've spent the last 30 minutes looking and I can't find any citations or scientific study on the subject at all. Either my google skills are worse than I thought or nobody's actually cared about kids in the US school system enough to actually look into it. The debate on both sides is thus far all sound and fury.
  25. Hm, I can't find any legit research confirming that, so it must be one of those claims I've heard often enough to not question anymore, poor form on my part and for that I apologize. Any serious article making that claim cites this: http://psycnet.apa.org/record/1998-04530-003 But that's being completely twisted since that's specifically NOT about praise for ability but praise for intelligence. Now I wonder where I read that. I'm pretty sure I've seen multiple articles say participation trophies lower self-esteem and increase likelihood of bullying, but I guess without any scientific evidence to back that up, I'm going to have to dismiss it. Mea culpa. EDIT: Is there any legit research on this subject AT ALL? Literally anything anybody says about participation awards is anecdotal hearsay and all of it's contradictory! Ugh, you'd think SCHOOLS would respect the concept of empirical evidence.
