Bale pulled off Batman and Bruce wayne very well. Keaton did a constipated wayne and an ineffective batman. I didnt mind that first film but it did suffer form the gothiness that burton imbued. It was borderline camp.

This is a known issue - every PS2 will die at the end of this year due to a self destruct system, not all at the same time but staggered. However there is a way around it. If you hack into the BIOS and set the internal clock back to sometime in 2000 the PS2 will think it is new and so wont shut down. Or you could call up Sony. They'll give you a "refurbished" PS2 for cheap.

To be honest I've never heard of the lamp problem with rear projection. Quite a few of my friends bought rear projection TVs around 2001/02 and they are still going strong. Acreen burn is an issue but the screens are relatively cheap to replace.

No, don't save Stargate SG-1. I'd like it to end while the show still has some semblance of quality. Ten years is more than respectable for any show let alone a sci-fi series. In that time they have completely wrapped up the main story arc of defeating the main bad guys and the main characters have evolved and achieved their goals. The last couple of seasons have just recycled the whole "super powerful baddies as gods2 thing and it seems like the writers have crammed in as many bad self referential jokes as possible. Not even the super hot Morena Baccarin can save it now. Goodbye SG-1.

I think the rule (or guideline) is Plasma for the super massive TVs and LCD for the smaller TVs. You can get a 36" LCD but once you start going 40 and above plasma is the way to go.

At any rate the rotoscoping certainly augments the drug induced paranoia and halucinations. I know that the the first part would be... interesting if watched under the influence. According to at least one reviewer, the story suffers form the book to film transition. Mainly beacause the book has many internal monologues which help convey a deep sense of paranoia.

It did have a better story, the production was more solid than the first. I guess my complete lack of "give-a-damn" about Panther spoiled it for me. Also the Wasp/Giant man drama was tired.
