  1. Yes, and they've happily announced every single one was negative. It's all for show of course, but it does fall under the WADA umbrella, unlike American sports which are a law unto themselves. Glad France got that last goal. I do feel the penalty was there, but it always feels kinda ****ty if you win by controversial decision. Looks like the early nerves from France's youngsters is starting to wear off. EDIT: And right as I submit that... Definitely feels deserved now.
  2. Huh, I was about to go to bed before I noticed the kick-off is at 1am. That's not too bad, actually, I'll stay up and watch it. Dunno why the semis were at 4am, that obviously didn't work for me and I was anticipating not being able to watch any further matches for the rest of the tournament. I want France to win because I love Hugo, simple as that.
  3. An alternate way to improve Colonial Marines would be to introduce a typo that causes the game to fail to launch.
  4. I think this is likely true. Or at least a main reason. And it wouldn't surprise me if at some point even consoles stop (true) physical versions - they'll just be those physical discs with codes to download. And they'll still ship next-gen consoles with a piddly 500GB hard disk.
  5. If only they still sold games with the form that you could send in to request it in an alternative format, say if you only had a 5.25" floppy drive. About 60000 disks should do it, though inevitably disk #59990 will be bad. Maybe console games are saving us from truly insane download sizes, if only because publishers won't want to ship games on more than one Blu-ray.
  6. Started Hero-U too. One issue is that I don't really want to use the run toggle to move around normally but the real-time clock kinda punishes you for it. But eh, not a big deal. Unless, of course, there's a game over for not accomplishing enough before the vault runs out of water. For what it's worth, I've never played QFG. If anything, the game makes me feel like Mahoney in the first Police Academy.
  7. I only just left Sweden in my FM17 save, after a stint at Carlstad United. I only play the simplified FM Touch version admittedly so the time flies by, and I'm too lazy to even build tactics these days. The Belgian league structure is incomprehensible. Actually, I can't even remember if I was hired by Gent or Genk.
  8. Could only watch the highlights. Hugo saves from Toby's attempt, that means he stays right? Please?
  9. So while co-op games are my jam these days, For the King is a title I had heard of but consciously ignored because I thought it forced you to have a party of three characters, even when playing with just two players. By chance I saw a video of someone playing with just two characters, whereupon I immediately bought the game. Only played less than an hour so far but it seems a pretty solid diversion, and I don't feel we're shorthanded with just the two characters. Hopefully that remains the case, as I have no idea if the game scales the content to party size.
  10. I think a large part of Russia's low overall ranking is an artifact of their automatic qualification as host? Friendlies aren't worth a lot of world ranking points.
  11. You back Spurs ? I knew there was a reason I hated you Hmm, red or blue?
  12. So torn. As an Aussie I'd normally never support England in any pursuit, but love seeing the Spurs boys doing well. Not just for England, but for Belgium and France as well. Gotta admit it's the first full match I've watched all tournament though due to lack of investment in any team.
  13. I let the payment go through this month for the first time since February, mainly since I figured I'll want to try HoI one day. Titan Quest Ragnarok was an unexpected bonus. (Never played TQ since it's not my genre but heard good things so it's a handy extra) Next month's set includes The Escapists 2 and I'm a sucker for co-op games so I'll have it run for consecutive months, which is very much a rarity.
  14. You were always on my mind

  15. Most of us here just have ShadySands buy it on our behalf. Personally I have my subscription on pause about two-thirds of the time. I only let it go through if one of the early reveals is something I want. Or if I accidentally forget to pause it, like the time I got Elder Scrolls Online. Oops.
  16. I'm pretty sure the only reason I managed to play WoW on-and-off for a decade despite starting as a rogue was by clinging on like a Remora to a warrior and druid I met while levelling. That, and Improved Sap. Y'know, the skill that only had a 10% chance of "screw you, you die now" every time you use it.
  17. I don't know anything about Canadian shops but if you look at the list on PC Part Picker and click each item it'll bring up the cheapest stores for each item.
  18. Open up the Disk Management utility in Windows to confirm how many physical drives you have. Just open the start menu and type 'disk man' and the item "Create and manage hard disk partitions" should pop up. Each row is one physical drive: You can pick up a 4TB drive for less than $150CAD these days. Buy an internal one because SATA is significantly faster than USB for transfer speeds. Most motherboards support at least six SATA drives these days, so 5 disks plus a DVD drive for example should be fine. Might want to double check that first though. Basically you're looking for spare ports that look like this (colour may vary):
  19. Ignore these console peasants, the only controller you need is the Warthog HOTAS.
  20. Can't remember the last time I needed to play online on a console. Might have been Mario Kart 8 when it launched. And I'd probably have done it once or twice ever.
  21. Didn't count Forza as an exclusive because it's playable on PC, but yeah, that cross-platform purchase thing is cool. On the other hand, it removes incentive to buy an Xbone. I can't see a practical way to mount a steering wheel in the living room anyway.
  22. But doesn't it have backwards compatibility with older titles, while the PS4 has not? Don't really remember the details here, but it's one of the things that would make me rather buy an Xbone. For example, just to be able to play Red Dead Redemption in pretty. Sort of. It doesn't have native backwards compatibility, rather Microsoft sift through their back catalogue and manually port selected titles to the Xbone. With "proof of purchase", i.e. the 360 disc or your account, you can download the ported version free. Sony also manually port their back catalogue, but it's tied to a subscription service, owning the game previously gives you nothing.
  23. I totally forgot Steam Machines were a thing, huh. I bought my Switch back in April. I've used it for maybe two hours so far. I don't regret it as such, I'd have bought it anyway once its library got bigger, but it might have been too early in hindsight. As for PS4 vs Xbone, when I last did a comparison I scored it at 1-1 on two relatively minor points. The PS4 has one exclusive that I'd sorta like to try in HZD, and the Xbone (S) does 4K Blu-ray. Yes, I read though the exclusives list for both consoles and found a combined total of one that was potentially appealing. Obviously neither factor would have been too important as I ended up buying neither.
  24. If Overcooked 2 was the only thing announced at E3 I'd still be happy. Can't wait.
