Something Awful forums, and yeah, that's his account. Also, I feel for Josh. I hope he doesn't get too bogged down in all the negativity - people may disagree about certain plot/system choices, but at the end of the day Deadfire is still a good game.

In Eastern Europe we didn't got access to consoles you are used to. We are PC master race all the way This used to be true for computers in general, but not anymore. Here in Poland, our vibrant Amiga and Atari communities had lasted pretty much right until the time the first PlayStation hit the country.

This is something that's been bugging me for ages. I do not mean to insult Chris Metzen - I'm sure he's a great guy in person - but his works had always seemed to predominantly pursue that weird old school nerd brand of cheap awesomeness, often to the point where his stories would dive face-first into stupid. How he managed to get a lifetime free pass in an industry where writers often end up being the favored punching bags of fans is beyond me.

Prepare to hear Shaun Jason a lot.

I love the changes to casting and resting. I couldn't really get into wizards in PoE because of their D&D-derived restrictions (which are arbitrary), but I was overjoyed that I could finally be a little more liberal with spellcasting in PoE 2.

No problem with Serafen, too. I'm not a native speaker, but I have a much more harder time understanding that Australian guy in Doctor House. Udyne is awesome. I don't get what that's about, but she uses some german words, or at least words that are understandable for a german. It's because Udyne is Aedyran, and Aedyr is Germanic Britain. Aedyr's Hylspeak is clearly modelled after the real life German-influenced Old English.

Don't forget commanding your horse to poop on the road so that enemy vehicles skid uncontrollably.

FFVIII deserves more love than it gets, if only because of "Don't Be Afraid".

I still like the idea of a tycoon style builder where you have to build the Jurassic Park. Only to then have it turn into a first person shooter / survival game when the dinosaurs go on a rampage, and you have to deal with how good you were at building and expanding the park in the first half.... Oooh, I'd play this. Now I'm sad this isn't a thing.

But they have already made a better game than BG2. It's called Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines.

On a scale from Farmville to Rollercoaster Tycoon, how tycoonish is it? I've been thinking about getting it.

The one in the underwater ruin? Yeah. The DLC was advertised as revolving around fighting "Eora's most dangerous" which is exactly what Galawain was breeding in his underwater Pokemon Center. Seems like a reasonable assumption, I think.

Counter-theory: it's going to be a continuation of Galawain's questline from the base game.

^ The amount of hits it can take before expiring increases with the XP you put into it, especially if you choose the bottom tree version (the non-exploding one).

Kind of. There's a blood shield power that enables you to completely shrug off a set number of hits (any hits) regardless of the level difference, and it doesn't cost any blood. The ultimate abilities don't cost any blood either, so if you're patient, you can pop the shield and slowly chip away at your enemies with a hit-and-run approach while you wait for the cooldowns to refresh.

This honestly made me laugh.
