This entire situation has gotten way too out of hand. For one thing, you'd think that with all the horrible statements we've seen coming out of the Muslim community in the ME regarding Jews, Christians, and Americans, they'd be more open to criticism on their own way of thinking for once. " And people think conservative Christians are way to zealous. Also, the response of the disgruntled Islamic community hasn't helped their cause in any way. These people object to their prophet being potrayed as (more or less) as an advocate of violence, yet they respond with violence? ... I think they're doing more harm to their image then the cartoon ever did. It's clear that these people involved have no respect for freedom of speech, nor are they able to handle jabs at their own faith. There shouldn't have even been an apology.

Did we help them against the Nazis - yes or no? The U.S. had been leaning toward the allies all along, even before the Zimmerman Telegram fiasco. Remember the Lusitania? And even farther back than that, for example, are the 1st and 2nd Morocco Crises. They probably would have declared war on Germany anyway. Both nations were part of the Triple Entente, and German actions prior to the outbreak of the war had only strengthened the Anglo-French alliance against Germany prior to that, such as with the Kruger Telegram Crisis and the two Morocco Crises. Also, why in the hell am I responding to this post anyway? This whole argument took place -what - almost a month ago? And you being so opinionated had to respond to it now? It wasn't just him. There were others involved. I was there when it happened. It was all confusion caused by a bad joke on pixies' part. And as much as I like Jags, he was being the biggest as*hole to Aimo and Eisu. Nor was Jags criticizing, he was just insulting them. Niether of them deserved the things he said, especially Aimo. And by the way, it wasn't criticism Aimo "ran away" from, it was a number of things (having been told by her myself).

You didn't report me? Too bad. Even if it wasn't against guidelines. To borrow Meta's phrase, I call it like I see it. Opinions usually aren't right or wrong, but in this case yours is, because religion hasn't been the cause of most wars. That's a fact. If you can say something like that, and I know this is harsh, then you really don't know what you're talking about. You're just making things up to justify your own prejudice. You even said yourself you'd think it'd be a good idea to remove all religious expression. What are we supposed to gather from that? And as for your statements about Hitler, here, I'll quote it for you. Even what you said is wrong, because Hitler did not use religion to persuade the Germans to his cause. He only targetted a religious group - it is not the same thing. In fact, he used nationalism to invoke his cuase, not religion. And even without the Jews taken into account, WWII still would have occured. Hitler's top priority wasn't killing the Jews, it was building Germany into a world power. The Jews were just a convenient scapegoat he found to blame Germany's problems. But rest assured, he would have found another even if they weren't taken into consideration. Anyway, then when someone criticizes you for your statements, you turn things around and try to make yourself look like the victim. Grow up. Learn to take criticism without trying to make the criticizer look like a bully. Never did I flame you, or troll. And yes, I am calling for tolerance, tolerance from mindsets such as yours, which is why I targetted you in the first place. That's all I'll say for now, since I don't wish to have this thread locked.

I just find it amusing how he criticizes the same things he's guilty of. The same one who thinks religion is responsible for WWII and has been the cause of most wars throughout history. As for Islam, that's my intepretation of it, coming from its scriptures, its primary prophet, and its history. But at the same time I realize others may interpret it differently. And it is a faith shared by millions of people, most of whom aren't terrorists, so I try to keep my comments at least a little respectful.
