Politics 2017 part V
They're trying to take our overtime pay. https://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/whitehouse.gov/files/briefing-room/presidential-actions/related-omb-material/saphr1180h_20170502.pdf Honestly it's presented as my first line, but the current wording on the bill is that it's an employee option. But it doesn't seem like an option you get to each time you hit the overtime mark.

From what I understand, they do things to people's butts. I don't know if that's your cup of tea or not, just saying... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5Scg3rAwTQ Thank you Obsidian!

Rumblings from the other manager is that she wants to hire me. At the same time I caused a bit of an internal kerfuffle because I reported to a whistleblower style hotline internally that I thought my current BM hadn't paid out sick time to the other employees (I only got mine because I went after my previous HR partner). Immediately get called by my HR person who asks why I went that way instead of to her. Whic basically got the response of "Last time I went to you, he immediately yelled at me to "Don't do that again!" so..."

From past experiences giving those, don't answer with "Sup, man", have techno on in the background or breathe heavily into the receiver I'll be at work at the time so probably won't be an issue. As long as I don't totally botch it, I should be a bit of a shoe in for the position all things considered.

Being told Grandpa has an anurysm in his lung and basically not to expect him to survive more than six months He's 91 and doesn't even remember I'm his grandkid half the time. Seeing him in two tuesdays. Mom thinks grandma would follow pretty quickly after. Still haven't heard anything about other job. Also Family Friend (who died on the 27th?) has a bitch of a daughter. Like I said, my mom had come up to see her friend, and before my mom could arrive (like the day before) Lynn died. Mom came up and stayed in Lynn's house with her sisters, and the daughter for one night. The sisters left and the daughter basically kicked my mom out of the house (even though my mom had plans to stay until saturday). This was on a tuesday. This is also the woman who I visited with over thanksgiving, joked (good naturedly) about her husband being "Just the PRETTIEST of princesses" with my brother and him, and he apparently didn't like it. But instead of saying "Hey, I don't appriciate that" or anything, waited f\a good month before I reached out to her again to proceed to call me a "terrible human being" for joking like that and acting morally superior. So now I was persona non grata aroud the house, and not even allowed in to help my mom out. And everything that woman put out about her mom post death seemed almost "woe is me" with her "memorial" including "I didn't always see Eye to eye with my mom" as if they were estranged (they weren't). And now I saw a begrudging "Well, now I have three cats!" twitter post about taking in her mom's old ones.

What you did today
Family Friend died this morning. Actually the woman who I lived with for the first two weeks I was here before they had an apartment for me. My mom's here now, unsure of exactly what she wants to do. It's still kinda processing in my head at the moment. Other news, my boss is livid at the state she found our store in, and fortunately doesn't blame me because I've been semi-marginalized by the manager. Hopefully within a few weeks I get contacted to take over a branch up in Washington (Yakima to be specific) which I think would ultimately be fantastic, cheaper living with more money.

Iirc, youre living in a new state? Maybe the faux Spring has bloomed something you didn't know you were allergic to? My coworker is allergic to everything, just up to the very air he breathes. Poor bastage, hes always miserable through the Spring and Summer and so happy for the first freeze of Winter. That seems to be the case. But to cap it all off, on top of the new allergies, I have a legit headcold that's been making the rounds at the office. Also, was supposed to hear back about a job today. They interviewed the last person and were to make a decision about who got this job (Moving from Cars to Trucks for rentals)... Hope this goes well.

So, Tuesday before going home, something happened and I had an allergic reaction. It was at work so I don't know what did it to me. Now sitting around the house I've got itchy eyes and I'm constantly sneezing. So... Allergy. Please tell me you aren't related to my cat that I've had for 3 years (and more) without issue?

Random Sales
I totally post here all the time! EA is having a pretty bloody impressive sale going on. Dragon Age Inq for 10 bucks, and 50% off most of it's good first party titles (Titanfall 2 and BF1 for example)

CRPGs have made a comeback! How about RTSs?
I think the real problem became one of scale. On one hand you had games like Company of Heroes pop up that were squad based and had hyper low unit caps, flip side had Supreme Commander and grand strategy games playing out as if you were the king of an empire that was fighting over a world. There wasn't really a good niche for the old style RTS to fall into because people didn't want to always have to rebuild their base and start from square one each and every time. Deserts of Kharak showed that there is a market for it, when previous (and terrible) games before scared off investment. Starcraft two has been waning since Heart of the Swarm, and Command and Conquer had been killed to a browser based... thing, from underperformance of it's last several games. It's an easy genre to get REALLY wrong, and not a safe bet for investment. Also, Battlefleet Gothic Armada is amazing.

Thanks, though my bed is decently hard, I'll try it out, can't hurt :D I usually roll up a towel and place it under the lumbar wich gives some relief for a while, but it rarely stay in place for long since I toss and turn quite frequently. Edit; My mother is apparently going to the movies, something wich she never really does, got me curious what movies she possibly could be going to. Looked it up. Fifty shades darker. ... WHERE'S MY BRAIN BLEACH?! You do realize that one of the current issues rampant in senior homes is a proliferation of STD's right?

Obsidian Entertainment!? You just made (a) List!
I suppose it should be "just about every game" then. Doesnt take away from the accomplishment

Politics 2017 Part 3
East End of London hated Bobby Peel's original police force. Most of the negative names for the police in english originate from there. Yes, I think there were some troubles with the Roman Empire too. ... You do realize that Rome didn't have a professional police force correct? As in the Bobby's/London Police Force were the first of their kind in the world, with all prior police actions and authorities being ceded to a local noble who's enforcement was at his own discretion, or in times of crisis, the army was used internally. The history of law enforcement is a fascinating subject you should examine if you ever get the chance. Especially given that 500 years ago "Felony" meant "execution" in terms of punishment. Trump has been in office for a month, Obama for 8 years. So we know exactly what Obama's policies have led to. And has spent more in that month on vacationing in Florida than the Obama's spent in a year's time (10 million bucks for security and transit to his Club)

Am debating requesting a transfer back to my old region. Things are shaking out at current location but it seems like my boss has the idea stuck in her head that I'm totally untrained and shouldn't be considered for promotion. Also current boss had a BM position open didn't even ask just automatically handed it to somebody else. Only learned it was previously promised after bitching to one of my coworkers (technically employee) about it. Some of this is just me going through the "not in love with this place and it sucks" phase, but I'd think that'd be more about the city rather than the actual person who can control my career path within the company. Also being isolated and semi-friendless is kicking my ass using my depression as a HUGE barbie bat.
