I'm outside minneapolis with a house/mortgage and everything. Jesus I joined this board 14 years ago. I feel old.

So... been gone a while. Lost my job last month, have an offer letter for a new job (about 7k less per year). Added another cat to my family and am examining my options for the future. Have four more interviews this week that I'm hoping turn into something, and I need to replace my 20 year old acrua integra with something newer. Hopefully the interview with a dealership for an Ops Administrator will get me some traction.

Working, have girlfriend (met at work), am attempting to dig up another promotion while dealing with this whole "owning a house" shindig. I'm eternally tired... is this what being an adult is? Can I go back to when I first joined this board?

A 1 mm pinhole in one of my pipes. They're gonna have to rip out the sauna, and then figure out how to reinstall it. Thank god for insurance.

Get my house tomorrow. Trying to get a cargo van from work (which after looking at it doesn't seem like it'd actually help me as much as I thought), and apparently am being blocked because the fleet manager hates my guts. Ho Hum.

I bought a house... well we close next month. But still I have a 3 bed 2 bath house with a sauna.

Old trick... Swim cap (He said 20 days late). Fighting through the Housing market. May be changing jobs to get more income soon. Otherwise Attempting to stay upright.

Am working on buying a house in the Cities. Have da monies already set up, but not the actual house yet. Basically looking for a split level 3 bed 2 bath for under 200k. Supposedly things should be coming on the market more in the next month or two

One of my stolen cars is the gift that keeps on giving. Guy stole it and I'm dealing with a request for restitution from the county. Today I open a package from an insurance company, and apparently I owe them a little over 3 grand because the man who's in prison, T-boned one of their clients and so we have to pay for it. Side note: This is the fourth car I've reported stolen in a month. My office has been broken into, and I've gotten on almost first name basis with two cops. My office is in the 'Hood.

Is it better than your last position at least? And it HAS to be better than the big M steakhouse. Yes and no. My office operates with more than 1 million in revenue a year, I'm da boss now instead of the sub boss. Thing is, in this region at least, it's basically expected that I'm going to be "first in, last out" of sorts at the office, meaning 11 hour days 5 days a week, and an expectation of my weekend being at least somewhat work time so that I can make sure I'm ahead. To be fair, I'm doing something right because the metrics are leaps and bounds ahead of where they were, but I ended up calling my boss and saying "**** this ****, move me, I need less hours" and started getting a bit of slack for what I have to do. McD's sucked, sure. Partly it was the fact the job is designed around the stupidest person being able to perform any task, but at the same time, you didn't have a customer scoffing at you and saying "Well, I requested a nugget, if you don't have nuggets right now, you'll give me a premium chicken burger for the same cost!" (Seriously, the entire city is overbooked and people can still make rentals on accident... "You don't have my compact? That Tahoe is sitting right there! Give it to me!"). Realistically the biggest thing for me is that I need to get myself a balance between work and life, and have more than just my Cat to keep my company. But it's daunting to try to get out when I am so slovenly I don't want to move once I get home.

WoW still, Final Fantasy XIV, Heroes of the Storm, FighterZ, uhh... Railway Tycoon. I have no free time.

Work sucks, have survived the winter. Am unsure of what exactly I should be doing but am considering buying a house.

Swimming is just about getting your rhythm down. Admittedly I was a sprinter not a distance swimmer (Regional champ for Butterfly when I was 15), but in general you did best when you got yourself into that rhythm because all you focus on is the strokes and breathing, rather than figuring out who's along side you. I know that's TOTALLY going to help with a Triathalon where you have to know where the bouy is to turn around. Managed to get my office to hit three of the four key performance indicators for the first time all year. Hopefully I get props for that but who knows.

Apparently am doing well at the whole "being the boss" thing. Even though I'm pulling 60 hour weeks attempting to ensure that my office doesn't fall apart. ALone for the holidays (what's new) and the rum is kicking in. God I've turned into a lightweight. (admittedly I never was a heavy weight, but... who counts?)

Runnign my store, seem to be doing a decent(ish) job given little feedback. Had to fire a kid because he was using fraud to get his numbers up (and just pocket a bit more cash). We uncovered this over the course of a day where my boss basically said "So, we gonna fire him or you want something else?" It went from us deciding to maybe fire him over his attendance and attitude problems to my boss being on a conference call with the corporate security team. Got a call from the customer today, apparently this kid threatened to kill our customer if she ratted him out. She's a touch rattled and I can't help but consider that I might get shanked by a disgruntled employee in the near future.

Got promoted, am running the biggest branch in my division in Minnesota now. Was all worried, then got told "yeah, we promoted two people... we're leaving that third slot open for now". I feel a bit bad for the guys who interviewed and didn't get squat.

I managed to work it out so that I'm paying basically my entire security deposit... plus about 450. Gonna have to dip into my true savings account to pay it. and "New HR person is on it" is all I got about my vacation time. Good news is that it looks like I'm gonna be running the largest non-airport location for hertz in the state of Minnesota. But that's only perception.

Am starting to get situated in my apartment, but two things have cropped up that are killing me. One is that apparently my old apartment (where the manager had said I wouldn't have to pay a lease break) is charging me 1200 in lease break fees. The other is that my old boss didn't properly put in that I had used vacation for my move, so I lost about 500 dollars out to that. So I'm doing faaaaan ****ing tastic right now....

When that happened to me, it was Power Supply and Graphics card.
