  1. oye now you guys are starting to remind me of "mice and men"
  2. I also want to point out that there was a line that was missed by him. Completly. at the bottom it says "all in good fun" in -5
  3. they took over for namor when he became an antihero... they are now the atlantis wrecking crew.
  4. Gotta catch 'em all! Right Calax? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've got a little ways but have already missed a chance at at LEAST three characters at least if you play another game you don't have to do that much work recruiting because you have a "new game +" mode. in other games it's "rock out!" because you have fully leveled characters, in this it's just that you HAVE characters stuff and skill points.
  5. skimmed it Blatant ripoffs: Doc Doom boostergold/captain marvel Thor Fantastic Four Red Skull Sasquach Robot (doom patrol) Doc Strange/Doc Fate. Hydra The Fathom Five and thats Just off the top of my head.
  6. and here i thought raven had purged that little gem.
  7. Yeah, took me 70 hours on my 108 Stars playthrough. Pretty good game. It's a shame that the battle system doesn't provide more of a challenge (or any challenge at all). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> well the strategic ones are more of "put army on collsion course and hope that you can move fast enough to control once combat is engaged. Now if you could meld somthing on the scope of Suikoden V (or it's predecessors) with a good empire building system (I would think the total war way of doing things without the actual control of whats in each city only the troops tab.) You would probably have one heck of a hit. :starts to mumble to self about how to do it:
  8. got back into suikoden V. you know the game is going to be REALLY long if there are 108 recruitable characters.
  9. sourse xard?
  10. Carodo from the TOTJ comics, whiny bastich.
  11. It's yoru opinion (I understand) but I should point out that Lucas Arts had a HECK of alot better games in the olden days like: Xwing Tie Fighter (ultamtly their pinnacle of Space sims) the Monkey Island series Grim Fandango and a few others. However we lost the brilliance of the teams behind these games when Lucasarts restructured so all they had to do was throw a bit of money and the starwars license at a person to get a game. (I cite Force Commander and Battlegrounds as evidence!)
  12. I feel that I should point out that I have flamed one person once... it was hot enough to make the guy threaten me with a glock however you can't find the post curtosy of lady raven. Mus? saw it. (he used the term Calaxowned I believe)
  13. Not if the portals are on the roof and the floor. Try to jump through and get nailed by the bullets. " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> for that I'd use either prox mines or rockets <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Bullets would be like stealth though. Much harder to see than rockets or mines... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> don't have QUITE the effect of seeing a rocket (much less a redeemer) zipping at what seems like mach five in a doorway blocking your path.
  14. Not if the portals are on the roof and the floor. Try to jump through and get nailed by the bullets. " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> for that I'd use either prox mines or rockets
  15. seen better... the Comic book movie with Mark Hamill going to the 2002 diego comic con in a mockumentary. Including talking to Hugh hefner and Kevin Smith. I kinda expected more... exotic pictures from a comicon. Like with catgirls attacking wonderwoman who was in the middle of kissing spiderman(upsidedown) while a mutant killer snowgoon was rampaging trying to kill them all. Or Saywer bellydancing to get attention away from the Comics and onto the game.
  16. I'm willing to bet crackers will have that slice of memory open in a week and a half of use.
  17. this is a game. I don't think programmers ever think to include bullets into the physics engine that much. I would laugh at a bunch of guys cowering behind a wall when all of a sudden six portals pop open with a barrage of rocket fire flying at the poor guys from behind.
  18. and people say MY sig is big.
  19. I had that exact same feeling when playing through. Sure it was fun till I got about 3/4 of the way through, but after that it quickly came down and I cheated my way through the last campaign just to see the storyline play out. Once I hit the night elf campaign I started to notice all the things that I really didn't like about the game start to jump out at me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> that's pretty much what I did. Warcraft in the olden days of war2 was more about armies and tactics. tactics because there is a unit cap, armies because there was no heroes. now with war3 your entire fight is based around getting the other guy to hit your footies and other chaff while your heroes do all the smashin. ESPECIALLY after you have items of power :shudder: Why blizzard!? Why did you have to make the game a RTRPG!? It would have been so much better if it had been more like starcraft without "levels" and "items"
  20. mystery men.
  21. thank you muchly. it should be pointed out that between me hades and Raven we have the trinity of anti religion.
  22. Warcraft 3 was too hero centric for my tastes... instead of actual armies going at it you've got 15 footies with a troupe of 3 heroes attacking eachother.
  23. when I first read that I saw "oh no its a stupid pet that I made"
  24. Blizzard is also known for having more than 2d worlds. what I mean is that the characters all feel like they actually exsist. also Chris Metzen.
