  1. I have to agree with everything you just said. Actually, you could take it back even farther really. The hollow mask only makes on appearance and it isn't really all that important. If you remove that one appearance, it's could have taken place right after the rescue arc. So, how many traumatic experiences is it that Rukia has in her past now? Honestly with the amount of baggage they're loading her down with I kind expect her to just snap and start trying to murder her pals. And you're right about the mask. The only reason it couldn't have taken place INSTANTLY after that was because the society was totally repaired (before Mayuri and his expirament went esplody). The series is going ok. I'm.... divided on the current filler arc. On one hand the concept is good and the characters are well done, but on the other it feels like they're pushing Byakuya a little out of his character in order to get him to do what he is doing currently. Also some of it feels like they're playing for time with the episodes having very little occur in each with a third of the show seeming to be dedicated to recapping the previous episode or reiterate things we've already grasped.
  2. In this case, It told me to make a GROUND force. Everytime I have seen tasks that say to build a ground force, the planet has no space opposition, so still, just build a ship and throw it into orbit.
  3. Um, have you taken the space orbiting the system? I know that the Zhan faction can shunt forces onto the ground without taking the space but I think in order to trigger the mission you need to hit the space above Bespin and take it before throwing your army (with all of your heroes) to attack. 4. Haven't played the game in question, but I know in other strategy games I'd auto-resolve battles a lot, especially once you're familiar w/the way the AI does it (so you know what odds you're likely you'll win). It's just to tedious to do it yourself every single time. yeah but ive noticed then when i autoresolve i tend to suffer a few more casualties than i probably would have if i played it out myself. of course, im actually pretty awful at the battles. not having a pause feature for me to give orders makes it pretty rough to manage all those units. sometimes a unit will just be standing there because i'm trying to set up stuff and im taking too long. or am i totally retarded and there is a pause feature that the tutorial forgot to mention? There is one, down by the map there is a clock at the bottom on the right side of the map, above the clock is a pause, slo-mo, play, fast, and really fast button. I was playing more empire today as Austria. The turks on my southern border appear to have decided to not stir up trouble for a bit, but the Prussians up north god adventurous. yes I'm using the right names this time. Anyway, Prussia decided that fielding half again as many troops as me against Prague would end up netting them a victory (one full army with another as reinforcement). I ended up doing the battle myself because the AI would do my troops little justice. I made a mistake at set up by having my demi cannons JUST outside my Line infantry's umbrella (stupid ai, moved my 12lbs cannon but not that thing). Didn't matter much, as they were killed off by cav in 2 minutes of the opening of the fight. The main fight where I was worried I might loose took place early with the attacking army swarming my wall. I ended up pushing them back off the wall (sending six Austrian units into retreat) and sending a good portion of my force out the front gate to guard my cannon. The Austiran Reinforcements finally start getting into things after the main army (more like lead army) was beaten back and came at me from the side, trying to get to my forts front to use the ladders already up, unfortunatly I'd set up two regiments of line infantry and my cannon directly in the path to the wall. Cannon in the center Line infantry to the sides, needless to say they started throwing units at me but they got so strung out that I was ripping apart unit after unit without having to worry about a second one complicating things. Battle ended with a "heroic victory" with me loosing 600 to their 2.1k. Great thing for me is not only did I defend prague, but it also WRECKED their armies in Saxony, so when my turn came up I attacked and took it (which was harder than I anticipated because they had in the city itself a single line unit and 3 militia, but within reinforcement range was the remains of the army I'd clobbered, I still got the win but it was costly). In my southern theatre not much happened except that I managed to take Bosnia with a total of 420 men. I guess I'd wiped out most of the turkish armies with my battles further north.
  5. What the others have said is true, but the thing is for those hard core battle players is that they usually end up taking FAR less casualties in fights (like getting a 100:1 kill ratio). but often it's just better to let the game auto resolve those that aren't pivotal in your plan (like defending your capital etc)
  6. Relic has spent a LOT of time to get their servers stable like that with Dawn of War and Company of Heroes communities. But in general Battle.net is the paragon that everyone is trying to reach.
  7. Benn raiding. The reborn Onyxia has been good to me, giving my warrior her dps helm from the lower ranked version (10 man) and the tanking helm (Best in slot for what I"m doing) from the 25 version. Of course this also means I get to run around looking like I'm a can opener if I've got my helmet showing. The thing that's on her head is the model that I'm wearing right now. My DK I decided to respec to unholy meaning that I'm "taking one for the team" and doing less damage myself in favor of giving our casters a MASSIVE damage buff (one of my abilities allows magic to do 16% more damage on the target I've got my diseases on), as well as any other dks in the raid (diseases do an extra 30% damage, which will rock even more with my 4 piece bonus for tier 9). I've also been squealing like a little girl at the prospect of the Icecrown Raid. Details announced thus far (including a developer preview) has us beating down the front door and getting to a courtyard before we bump into the opposing faction, where the fight promtply takes to the air. Not many details yet but it sounds like we might have to have a "defense" and "boarding" team to get onto the other teams airship and knock it out of the sky. Also signs point to raid reputations returning (like the Violet eye or the scale of the sands from BC) with the Knights of the Ebon Blade and the Argent Crusade uniting within the dungeon to form a different faction. Anyway, I just had to get this stuff out there.
  8. Bleach:Fade To Black (aka the third movie) Pretty good, nice fight scenes but it just felt like half the movie was "what if ichigo had to go through the rescue arc again just with the powers he had when he was fighting against the Arrancarr". Over all I'd recommend seeing it if only to see Udahara actually fight. And Kempachi Zaraki makes a show stopping appearance too :D That's all for me.
  9. He is also a reverend, so I think it'd be a bit hypocritical of him to preach but still run around with "instruments of death" as his hobby I do wonder how they took the BAR tho.
  10. So was Karl Marx. Not that I'm accusing Enoch of being a Marxist. Comparing a poster to marx doesn't refute the fact that you were incorrect in your initial post.
  11. Don't they hand out patches in a bit torrent anymore?
  12. All I wanna say is that I hate DoTA. It's taken over Warcraft 3's multiplayer.
  13. Aren't you the Austrians? ... I hate this, I should just be Sweden again
  14. check exactly what it wants you to do, I think there was one time where i had a similar problem and my foible was that I had to take only tyber and his pal in and nobody else. Of course I'm operating on knowledge from a few years ago. if in doubt, check Gamefaqs.
  15. trying to salvage my economy and hold off the austrians while I beat up the turks in Empire. then I got stopped dead because as I logged in today it turns out the expansion is active (and there's a 50% off deal on it on steam).
  16. If the level designer was cleaner that'd have been the best game that lucas arts has produced in the last 10 years.
  17. I'm guessing that this will either be a smash or a belly flop.
  18. i just played dead rising and i'm not sure what you mean by this. i thought broken referred to multiplayer stuff when one option was clearly superior to another option to the point of being "broken". or if a mechanic could be exploited to the point of broken-ness. i didnt notice anything like that in dead rising. i DID notice how awful it was trying to escort 8 survivors at once through the park with those goddamn convicts driving around... bastards. I think the term broken is being used here to refer to the difficulty curve being like running into a brick wall. Yes it's fairly easy to have a battle with 8,000-10,000 troops on the ultra setting. But I still can't wait for the TW series to bring me those truly epic battles with 40,000+ units. I was referring more to the number of unit types than anything else.
  19. well, wrote and turned in my sociology paper. And started humping through my philosophy paper. Problem is that I keep talking in circles because the teacher DEMANDS we use a specific amount of words (1200) when I basically hammered out the idea behind the paper in 400 and have just been going around poking holes in the term for fun for the next 300 words.
  20. I didn't really find BI that interesting.. mostly 2 huge factions against hordes of barbarians, it's too easy which ever faction you choose. Medieval II/Kingdom is an interesting game, imo is better than Rome in most aspects, but all in all it's quite similar. There's a good deal of great mods for MTW2 though, I especially recommend the Grand Campaign. Which adds all the features and factions from the Kingdoms expansion into the vanilla campaign. The biggest thing I noticed with MTW2 was that the number of units can be mind boggling.

Anansi boys isn't as strong as American Gods. Neverwhere can be a bit slow but is fun overall.
  22. That was... interesting.
  23. I see Anyway, I think you were right, France wasn't really a unified country until way after the 100 year war (approx 1453). I've never played Empire TW, so I don't know what time period it covers. Empire is 18th century I think. The Americas are there and they can break off from the Brits if they're feelin sassy.
  24. Money does come into play here Gorth. I'm tryin to save for Assassins Creed 2 and COD:MW2
  25. Whats his face from gargoyles. David Xanatos. Or Vandal Savage
