  1. I didn't think that you would ever have my back. Ofcourse, I doubt that was your intention
  2. Oh goodie. Rather than actually listen, you do the old song and dance routine. Go read the Blind Men and the Elephant. Wholey untrue and inaccurate. I'm not sure what you mean by "knowable." In fact, the god of the old testament is purposefully elusive. Yahweh means "I am what I am." This is what he told Jacob, after they wrestled when Jacob asked his name. This was done to prevent Jacob from gaining power over him. According to the belief at the time, to know a god's name and invoke it was to gain power over that god and command it to do your bidding. The god of the old testament purposefully would not reveal it's name, in order to prevent this. You can know OF god, but you cannot know HIM/HER/IT. I fail to see how this proves anything. See the link I posted. Judeism does not embrace the Trinity. Support? I'm aware of no quote in scripture that says God is limited. In fact, it says he is infinitely perfect. As for Allah's no limit, both religion's have that. They are defined as infinitely perfect beings. In fact, in Islam, the belief is that humans can only understand 99 of Allah's attributes. The Bible says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16 NKJV). The converse of this statement is that the rest of humanity will perish, that is, will go to hell without any other way of receiving His forgiveness for the sin they did not commit. "Say, if you love Allah, obey me (Muhammad), Allah will love you and forgive you your sins, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful" (3:31). According to Islam, the Allah is responsible for Jesus. "Behold! The Angels said : 'Oh Mary! Allah hath chosen thee and purified thee, chosen thee above all the women of all nations'", The Family of Imran : 42. This doesn't prove anything. All prophets are intercessors. They all teach a way to be saved in the eyes of their god. *Waits for more "proof."*
  3. *Boggles* Blind Men and the Elephant There is no use trying to show a blind man. I can only hope you find the Elephant.
  4. Maybe I should pull out the dozens of quotes where the Bible contradicts the Bible? Or where the Bible states that Jews aren't saved? Your statements proves nothing, other than your completely absurd idealic view of the Bible. The only reason it seems I don't have knowledge is you haven't done your research properly. Ofcourse Islam teaches Christianity and Judaism is corrupt, but that doesn't mean it is any less spawned by the religion of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Honestly, you need to do some research.
  5. Your lack of knowledge on this subject, combined with your assertions absolutely astound me. You really, really, really need to do some research. I know you're going to proclaim your knowledge and harp on what you've read, etc... Read it again. Read it all again. Until you get it right.
  6. I just got home, very drunk. Its 1.30. I am much weaker than I was.
  7. k... now do Churchill
  8. If you liked Diablo, you'll like Guildwars.
  9. I'm sure this sounded really deep and meaningful in your head, but when you say it to other people its just lame.
  10. New office chair (needed one), a new overcoat, Scrubs seasons 1 and 2, and the main course; a new pen.
  11. Not a good example. Even Bethesda wasn't happy with that one. (read that on their forums even) Their Cthulhu game has been released? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Uhm... what example? He said that Bethesda has a strict formula they use to make games and that it is not good enough for Fallout 3. I asked if he had played the games, I didn't say they were good games.
  12. REALLY? You played their racing titles? And Cthulhu? And Pirates of the Carribean? Magic and Mayhem? "Us fans?" Us fans who? I only enjoyed one Troika game, and even then marginally. Fans of Troika? Thats nice, I'm glad you guys like their games. Can't please everyone, and they certainly didn't please me. The RPG market is a niche market, and even in this small market Troika didn't exactly have a good reputation. Whether it was bugs, unbalanced combat, lame AI, horrible stories, bad combat... you name it people have had a bad opinion of it. For every person who liked Troika games, there were probably twice as many who didn't. With that said... Its not nice to mention Troika's horrendous track record at the same time you're worshipping the ground it was built on.
  13. Not the only time. You agreed with me when I ranted about how Nostalgia often blinds people from making rational choices (among a few other times). Normally I don't post my opinion on matters, anyway. Just play Devil's advocate... not to go off-topic. Not at all.
  14. Not really. Not at all. The description is so vague it holds no real value, and it was exactly the kind of smart-assed reply I expected. Yeah, it'll be like Morrowind with guns, if you mean that they both take place pimarily in a sandy wasteland, and it'll have guns. It won't have elves, or magical powers, etc... Ofcourse, the you guys have a better knowledge of the game than I do, since you've clearly already played it. So, hows the dialog system? What about the combat? Are there talking Deathclaws?!?!?!? This whole scenario is laughable, though I suppose you know that. Otherwise, why would you rely on such a comedic fallback? Thanks for playing.
  15. Emphasis my own. Nice try Kaftan. Not only is this a fallacious statement, its lame to the XXX-TREME. "I don't like this game, therefore it must be garbage." The Elder Scrolls series is what it is. Of course Morrowind shares a lot with Arena and Daggerfall. Very likely Oblivion will as well. Just like BG1, TotSC, BG2 and ToB were alike. Generally a series tends to appear similar to its predecessor. But, you guys all know what Fallout 3 is like, so why don't you tell me?
  16. "I don't like this game, therefore it must be garbage." Always a great argument to both hold, and partake in. Glad to see everyone holds the high ground... Despite their business practices being deplorable, EA does put out good games, so your raising them doesn't really hold water. All this speculation about whether or not Fallout and/or Oblivion will be good or suck are irrelevent. Any of you guys played either?

Bingo. The other answers may be semi-correct as well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I call B.S. The ONLY reason you posted that is your desire for wemics. P.S. Welcome back.
  18. Shadowstrider replied to Sammael's topic in Way Off-Topic
Because you secretly desire a wemic lover?
  19. I probably wouldn't have seen it coming IF ONLY BIO HADN'T PUT A HUGE PICTURE OF HER ON THE DAMN ToB WEBSITE! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Her in-game avatar was a normal human female avatar until the end of the game. Your signature holds true, at least. Not to mention I'm not exactly sure what this brings to the discussion of writing.
  20. Waiting until after christmas isn't waiting for a new product, just for a product's price to drop. The 6200 doesn't support new shader technology, so it won't stand too well against some of the games coming out. I got my 6800 GTX at a steal of a price (Just under $100), but I wouldn't have bought anything less than that for the very same reason. Unless, of course, your comments were directed at Bokishi's comments, in which case ignore my entire post.
  21. Uh... there are very few similarities in the traitors. Yoshimo, is the placed traitor, who shows relatively no signs of it until the Underdark. Melissan is the puppetmaster who guides you along with very few clues as to her treachery. Aribeth is lead down the path to treachery by a series of events, even a child could've seen this one coming. Bastilla is unexplicably a turncoat, and there is no rationale given for her betrayal. She is captured and turns traitor. So, unless I am missing something there is no link for you to "know what to look for," other than all these games were made by BioWare. So, basically you want the game to not only account for your character's knowledge and biases, but also your own. Thats not asking too much. Not at all...
