I'm still of the belief that they just don't want to pay for the bandwidth necessary to provide the patch.

I feel your pain. :/ I'm not going to buy any of their future games without reading real gamer reviews on them simply because I don't want to end up waiting months before the game's high res movies come out in a patch.

I play on the PC, but my vote's for the 360 anyway. HD makes for a great picture. I expect the game'll come out for the 360 if anything.

I've not finished KOTORII yet, but I finished the first game as a light sider. Unless something tragic happened to Revan during the KOTORII days, I can't imagine them finding a way to turn him to the dark side for the Exile to fight in KOTORIII. My exile isn't dark, either, so there'd be no reason for them to fight. If they decide to assume some sort of default story for Revan in the first game, I'll be very disappointed. He was as light as could be, so it'd take a lot to turn him, especially with his beloved Bastila at his side. My only real hope is that I get to play Revan again if that does happen. I don't much like the Exile's story so far.

Hah, ah, okay. I assumed that party selection worked like it did in the original KOTOR, so I went back to the apartment and found nothing. Go figure. Thank you very much.

Am I supposed to respawn without my group? They kinda disappeared on me, but I haven't saved recently.

A new engine with improved graphics and improved efficiency would be nice.

They couldn't openly say anything about it because it'd embarrass LucasArts. If they just stop talking about it, there won't even be an outcry over it. The people that care will just get frustrated and go on to bigger and better things. Sure, they may lose some customers in the long run, but they'll be able to save a few bucks on bandwidth. Modern business really is a stupid, ugly beast with little foresight. I wouldn't be surprised if they just let it fade from people's memories without another word on the subject. I certainly wouldn't be happy, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Would you come out and publicly admit that you're not going to release something that should have been in a game to begin with because you're too cheap to supply the bandwidth for it? The wisest course of action for them would be to drop it and pretend nothing was ever said. Let's face it, there's not exactly a legion of people clammoring for the patch, and the game is fairly old news. Why sacrifice a chunk of change to support a patch for a game that people have already paid for, and, in most cases, already played through several times?

I borrowed it from a friend. Definitely not paying for it until they patch the movies and music at the very least.

I doubt they want to pay for the necessary bandwidth to get everyone out there patched with higher quality movies and music. I wouldn't be surprised if the patch died at LA Q&A. I must admit, there's no way I'm buying this game until the patch is released. I borrowed it from a friend until it comes out.

Eh, earlier levels of flurry are alright, but only if used against lower level targets.

Dual silvers. I'd primarily use the longer of the two, but an offhand would be nice against multiple opponents, and it'd make for a nasty surprise in certain situations.

I'd watch it as long as Revan was a male.

Personally, I don't mind the class structure they chose for KOTORII. I just wish they hadn't named two of the prestige classes after ranks from the movies.

All this negativity has me questioning whether or not I should play the game at all.

Eh, think you mean critical strike. I'm starting to wonder if flurry might not be a better choice simply because it wouldn't hurt my defense. That five point penalty always had me a little wary in KOTOR, but it didn't prove to be too tough to overcome. I'm guessing that critical strike isn't the best choice unless you've got sneak attack to back it up when the stun lands. I don't remember the stun landing on Malak, but he went down fast enough all the same. *ponder*

I didn't misinterpret your meaning. I was simply stating that high res movies wouldn't show much difference at all on a normal TV due to the naturally low res they operate at, if I remember correctly.
