Shhh, they can smell your fear. And they find it ...nourishing.

I don't think it's at all fair to claim 'Scotland' asked for this vote. Salmond did. Because - and I'd be delighted if someone showed me I'm wrong - he's a complete nonentity whose only chance at historical status is getting a yes on independence. ~ As an aside, and speaking as an 'evil Englishman' can I ask that at the very least Scotland not pin its hopes on French/Spanish intervention YET AGAIN? It's getting tedious, because we all know that mainland Europe's only interest in Scotland is upsetting England.

Yeah, but you would expect him to at least understand his own article Expect and require are two very different things.

I thought it would be good to have a thread for this. The question of Scottish independence is not just one for the Scots and English. It would mean the end of Great Britain, and by inference her impact on European affairs. This in turn would affect World affairs. ~~ I was going to kick off by suggesting that if Scotland IS to have independence on grounds of differential development and culture it would make sense to extend the boundary to include cities as far South as Manchester.

It's a mix of things IMO. Not predominantly anti-semitism. But perhaps for another thread.

Israel can't afford NOT to watch its friends, IMO. Given the constant activity of the antisraeli lobbies. But he was part of what was roughly an industrial espionage group. Besides I don't think there are any important "anti-Israeli" lobbies to speak of, if you know of one, maybe you can tell me about it, because I'm interested in the matter. In the UK one cannot even _mention_ Israel in pub or public assembly without getting pelted with verbal brickbats. Certainly many UK MPs participate in anti-Israeli talks and campaigns - albeit typically on policy issues rather than the concept. The US has anti-Israeli lobbies, although I couldn't name any without googling them. I'm not going to google them, leaving myself open to being wrong!

President. Not presidents.

You mention that you modded it, apparently without borking the narrative effect. What mods did you actually apply?

Back when women frequented my dwelling one of them left some bloody useful tweezers in the bathroom. You need tweezers, the kind with the bend at the end. Failing that, soften whatever it is with warm water. EDIT: I just realised that Project Eternity should be coming out next year! I'd been deliberately not thinking about it, and now I have to calm down.

Truly a bigot. I suppose it's hardly surprising, with FB being so normalised as a kind of inside-outside soliloquy. Still crap. ~~ Terrible story in the news today: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-25108439 The band this ...thing was from FB'd their 'closure' on the admission. Not sure how it's appropriate to FB anything remotely like this.

It makes me angry when supposedly white collar jobs are essentially just applying a simple - and let's be honest REALLY simple - mathematical algorithm. With a binary outcome. I believe the only reason upper management tolerate middle managers drawing salary is: a) so they can be fired if anything goes awry b) so upper managers have incremental justification for their own salaries It's all total BS. Management is a complex job, but we have the training, business science, and the culture to have it be done right. We shouldn't be hamstringing it. And we ought to blame it fairly when it produces crap.

Isn't that how US network TV is run?

This may sound a bit unexpected, but I don't WANT endless Tory governments here in the South. And I also don't want the poor bloody Scots to sign for a bum deal. Stronger together, I say. But maybe that's something for its own thread.

Back on topic: I had a meaty fry-up for breakfast, with a lamb chop and two sausages. And some boiled potato slices. I kept the frying pan and half the potato. This evening I added water to the pan, reheated, and added red lentils and rice. Smushed everything up once the lentils went soft. Added cloves, black pepper, turmeric, and a tiny pinch of sea salt. Delicious winter soup. Cost about 30p.

If you lived in a country that was under real military threat you would understand the significance of military service and the fact that women want to be soldiers wouldn't be an unusual thought for you I live in Finland, so take a wild guess on the military threat. Also, we already had women in the army in the front line services way back when i did my time in there 10 years ago, that is also beside the point. The point was, is that waving the flag for equality in something that is necessary evil is hardly something that would make you feel warm and fuzzy. I hear what you are saying but I think you are missing my point. Most people who join there respective countries military services don't do it because they think it is a necessary evil or because they want to kill people. They do it primarily as a duty for the country and a calling. If you agree with that then having women as part of an army should be seen as commendable and no different to men serving in the armed forces but aren't you missing his point that it doesn't matter why they THINK they're doing it? His reaction depends on why HE thinks they're doing it.

BANANA? You are wrong and must be stopped. Banana is delicious on a pizza, you must try it I would rather swear allegiance to the Champs Elysee and then urinate on the Queen. So not totally out of the question then? Well, I guess if you put all three together I could be simultaneously sick, and thrown out of both Britain and France.

This is all true. It would certainly make life hard for my team, and as Serrano says, it would funt his sideways.

I think you should go High Elves. I like murdering High Elves.

I've long been of the opinion that the bulk of the Tales of the Sword Coast content is fun only to AD&D savants and masochists. To this day, I've still never gotten more than a level or two deep into Durlag's basement. Repeated "HaHa Deathtrap" gameplay is simply not how I like to spend my free time. Collect the WIS book and the magic scimitar from the tower, farm some XP to get to the BG2 import cap, and get the heck out of there. I gave Kagain the tome which boosted his toughness. Full suit of heavy armour, spells etc. Just walked him around, triggering everything. He had flames on the horns on his helmet half the adventure.
