Exactly this. Best quote of this thread. Seriously, cycloneman, you need a proper hobby.
  2. Up betimes and to my spreadsheets. WHY IN THE NAME OF ALL THAT IS FETHING HOLY IS THERE NO OPTION TO JUST TURN AUTOCORRECT OFF!? A spreadsheet is for DATA. The programmers do not know every possible format of DATA that will be entered. Having autoformatting that is impossible to turn off is a logical whatsit thingy.
  3. That is the absolute definition of raping an established game setting. I think I lost few brain cells just watching that demo. Agreed. Incidentally, it's just occurred to me that we've had the 'staring over the top of a gun' interface paradigm for as long as I've been PC gaming. That is a looooong ****ing time. There must surely be other, better, paradigms.
  4. And with that, Junai porpoised, glittering, into the sunlight of sanity. Have a good weekend, you mad bastard.

Can you explain for one second what earthly purpose would be served by faking stories about the fighting? It's not as if Gaddafi's troops are going to believe foreign media over the evidence of their own eyes.
  6. Well, I guess incidental voice acting wouldn't/shouldn't be the original actors. They could farm that out for a few grand, surely?
  7. You make an interesting point thre. in so far as blaming the President goes. Perhaps an emergent property of the two term limit is that the public have the mistaken impression that there is a change of regime every 8 years whereas with terms in Congress being so long and the administration officials staying in place...

    What does that even mean?
  9. I've forgotten how to link to my steam screenshots.
  10. I don't see why a dialogue expansion would be a rotten thing, per se. Anyone shrieking 'this should have been in the game to start with' might just as wlel have said that bout the guns. And they'd be just as retarded. Actually, now I think about it, surely more dialogue would make sense? Particularly given the interplay between some joinable NPCs and the various DLC. You already have dialogue options added after visiting the Sierra Madre. You could send the mutant to Zion to pick flowers, or that godawful scientist chap to big MT. Or regale Rose with novel drinks collected on your travels... the possibilities are pretty much endless.

Always sucks to be a merc:
  12.
  13. I've been following the discussion for the last few pages and had a couple of thoughts: 1. Having a DLC which just appeals to a market subsection is perfectly sound business sense, and I have no objections artistically. If I did I would just not buy it. 2. I wonder how many forum members would be complaining if there were a DLC which only added more roleplaying chats? 3. If I could choose a single weapon for DLC it would be an engine which modified my favourite weapon in some way which reflected how I used it. So it became 'the courier's' sequoia/pumpshotgun/varmint rifle. With a bonus improvement if the weapon was 'vanilla' to start with. Tweak the sheen a little, maybe alter the grips? Decrease reolads, target specific damage, a bigger boom noise?
  14. Just a thought though, Grom. But isn't the constitution designed around a weak EVERYTHING?

    Daily Mash.
  16. because if he evolved to deal with that particular issue then his superhero name would be Crackerwhacker.
  17. Got to agree. Christ. Just think. We'll be the facebook generation rather than the Woodstock generation. I hate you facebook bastards, I really do.
  18. I don't know what thescutle is over your end, but over here the papers are saying that even hardcore Republicans are, like, 'WTF?' I think this may be the apotheosis of the celebrity politician culture. Candidates have to have zero weaknesses in their backstory. With the inevitable consequence that the only people who get to the front are the kind of madmen with no weaknesses in their backstory.
  19. In fairness to the Fenians, I'd call that one a no score draw.
  20. From what I understand, NJ guv' just declared a state of emergency not long ago. edit: voluntary evacuations for pretty much all shore areas. Holy clagnuts! Hope you guys are going to be OK.

LOL I guess I looked like I over-reacted. And hence to me it looked like you did. My point wasn't that the rebels are the 7th armoured division. My point is that accusing an enemy army of being rats in North africa hasn't terribly successful precedents. Nothing more.
  22. *stretches* *thinks: Stretching is great. I haven't had a good stretch in ages. I wonder wh...* SNA-CRUNCH *thinks: Oh yes, that's right. I have airfix ribs*
  23. I'd have thought it would give poor performance, but on balance I'd believe the other posts more.
  24. Wow, all star team you're building here.
