The key indicator that it's not Britain is that someone has laid a rural road successfully.

The UK's proposed Internet filters..
The Register have pointed out, quite correctly, that the same bloody system has been in place on many mobile devices in the Uk for years. After having discussed this I have to say that the only thing to be up in arms about is the complete ****ing waste of my tax money.

Well, GD. I got to echo the other boys here. Best of luck. You don't know what happiness is until you get married etc. etc.

What's on the idiot box...
Anyone who says Volo is a troll is an evil racist.

The fact is that - like so many things - you had a vocal lobby demanding exactly this. Ministers and prime ministers get votes by giving in to lobbies, even when they make no sense. I would refer the honourable members to the fact that the National Health Service now permits prescribing homeopathic remedies. Isn't this basically the same exercise is acceding to pointless demands?

From what I can understand though. This isn't going to stop anyone more than an unlocked door. It's simply putting up a warning sign. And now that I've said that, surely all warning signs do to kids is make them want to see what's so dangerous?

Kind of what I was alluding to. Those stars seem to rely almost entirely on what amenities and decor the place has. But really I just need (in order): 1. Friendly staff 2. Physical security for me and my belongings 3. Food and water that won't kill me 4. A good view - people or places, I don't mind 5. Prompt and plentiful drinks service

Best Police in the World
In a police station you'd have a duty officer who is there specifically so this sort of thing doesn't happen. Weird that there was no equivalent.

That presumes that the star rating encompasses the whole value.

Incidentally, you've noticed that the OP was done by a fellow using the founder of the Soviet Cheka (the bolshevik secret police) as his avatar? No doubt LoF is chortling into his breakfast cereal at the irony.

If they wanted to get children watching less porn, they'd show Susan Boyle in a nightie instead of a complete block.

This George Zimmerman thing
The water is splashing over the sides of Volo's tank! Someone fetch Maureen, she'll know what to do!

Not that I think for one second you believe this contrary blurting. However, I should point out that knives were killing folk for thousands of years before guns came along. We in the UK lose police officers to knives relatively frequently, and private citizens seemingly every week. Your suggestion that it was too boring to wait him out is as transparently provocative as those buttless chaps you're wearing.

I agree that Italy requires very careful planning to get the best from. I also agree that the Slavic countries seem to strike an excellent balance. However, as any good discussion of options should, I'm going to push the theme further as a test. Why not one of the more troubled countries along the South and East mediterranean? Flights to Turkey are practically going begging, last time I checked. But I don't seriously believe the situation is going to implode any time soon.

The fact that Huawei is involved is the real 'smoking gun' for this being a s*** idea. Should have given it to Capita. They'd have spent all the money and done f*** all.

Can all sound just a little less like wet hens, please? If I go to Newcastle then I'm heading for the North Pole. But if you wait for me there you will be waiting a long time. It's not unreasonable or absurd to expect that a Society like that of Britain would object to 'public' ( as in unavoidable) nudity or perverse acts. As a culture we don't approve of them. If take a step back, and leave aside the fact that this censorship won't even work, all we are talking about is enforcing laws ( at least in spirit) which apply in real life.
