  1. It makes wonders more of a gamble. As is wonders are pretty powerful.
  2. You need to get realistic arterial spray or what's the point?
  3. I don't think George Lucas was paying much attention to the story of Darth Maul, or cared much. However, looking back, I don't see Maul as evil. He wasn't a seething ball of rage. He was controlled, and never commited an evil act that I can really see.
  4. He will go :alanschu: on you.
  5. That's why the study theoretical physics, so they can make better murder simulators.
  6. At what point in the novel or movie do we see him commit a single evil act other than attacking the Jedi? If he truly believed the Jedi to be evil, and he saw himself as righteously exacting justice, then does that make him evil?
  7. He never commits one evil act in the whole movie. Read the novelization and you will see that Sidious trained him to truly believe the Jedi hunted down and killed all the Sith in genocide like fashion. Maul merely wants retribution for that action. Maul never attacks a single character save for the Jedi whom he believes to be evil. When the hangar door opens revealing Maul, Padme and all the pilots are between Maul and the Jedi. Maul ignores them and allows them to safely pass.
  8. I loved his style. I also maintain that he wasn't evil.
  9. I imagine the Avs are going to be forced into a firesale.
  10. The descriptions are a bit cumbersome. Looking at the pictures and ignoring the text seemed to help me.
  11. I think Maul could have been just as cool as Vader if given his due.
  12. Calax, He had special combat armor.
  13. Oddly enough, I don't mind cartoony platformers like Mario. In fact I rather like the Mario, Zelda, etc. titles. Nintendo just doesn't have enough quality titles on the Cube.
  14. If you get to the very end, it sums up the basic rules that all the examples are poorly trying to point out. Most of it is basic sense. Armies can't go out in the ocean, etc. Superior forces take out weaker forces. Each unit can basically Hold, Attack (this is the same as move), Support another unit, or Convoy. Only fleets convoy, and it means the fleet carries an army from one place to another.
  15. Yep. No one controls them initially, so the early stages of the game are often mad rushes to grab them.
  16. Atari went from being the entire console industry to comepletely going out of business. Nintendo really better do something right in the next generation. With their handheld market and franchises, I don't see how they can go out of business anytime soon, but they might become irrelevant in the home console market unless the Revolution is a grand slam.
  17. The point of the game is technically to control 18 supply centers, though arguably two or three nations could split up the map and declare a draw.
  18. Outstanding. We just need one more player. Excellent, Mr. Smithers.
  19. One of my gripes with Civ III that I didn't see addressed was how abundant corruption was in the game, but we'll see how that plays out in the new game. I'm really looking forward to establishing my own new style of government.
  20. Speaking of the Vampire game.... I said I would run private scenes for people this week, but no one has really approached me other than Kaftan. Get a hold of me and I will run a private scene for you, and probably even award XP. For those who showed up to the first semi-session I am going to award 2 XP, and I also award 1 XP to Kaftan for the private scene we ran. It is up to the players if they want me posting logs from the private scenes.
  21. The game does seem massively different.
  22. I've seen this when it first went online. I used to daily go to Brunching Shuttle****s. It was one of my favorite websites.
  23. Reveilled, jaguars, Meta, Servant of Eru and myself make up the current player roster. All of us are here reguarly, and I don't see any problem getting in touch with players, or getting orders in on time with this group, which makes me quite happy. I'm really hoping we can get back to 7 players. I know Darque has been interested on and off. Maybe a vet like Kaftan can join so he can get revenge on Jags and I. Alanschu is also becoming one of the most regular forum-rats here. If we can get some players like Darque, Kaftan or Alanschu in the game, I think we've have a very active and interesting game going here.
  24. Yes. Both KOTOR:1 and KOTOR:2 had very similiar levels of linear versus non-linerar play.
  25. And apparently a Spearman can no longer defeat a tank. And a stack of 10 spearmen can't defeat a cannon either.
