  1. Building your own PC is quite easy, and you'll save money. Prebuilt PCs are rarely good for gaming.
  2. Some indie-developers put out titles that are loved, but look amateurish due to lack of art resources. See Spiderweb Software for instance. Some indie-developers however are putting out really impressive stuff. There are also Morrowind mods more impressive than what Bethesda put out. I'm thinking of putting together an article on that as my first big article for RPGDot.
  3. If you can't make it, I will email you privately some stuff that might happen next game, and you can respond back with what you want your characters to do. Your characters might just not show up or do anything.
  4. Russia is occupying larger countries, but in terms of supply centers I think it is something like 11 to 10, so it's pretty close.
  5. I think that is a very reasonable conclusion.
  6. You made an active effort to portray yourself as such and now you're denying it. Not only have you stated that you think you're the only one who could properly understand notation, and flaunting the extoils of specific named strategies. Considering that supposedly this was your very first game ever being associated with, why make a comment "I can't think of a game where Italy managed..." You're caught lying and denying it again.
  7. I haven't seen the masses with pitchforks demanding we move to Sunday, so yes we're on.
  8. People licensing the Source Engine now, like Arkane Studios, are going to get the most recent version of it however.
  9. I don't know if you've played or not. I could trust my initial impression, or your recent claim. But the fact remains that you have made a BIG POINT of flaunting your knowledge and expertise which you now attempt to downplay. Contradicting your previous statements is not a way to demonstrate your trustworthy nature. And even if you haven't played before, you do still seem to be a big expert on all the possible strategies. That puts you a few legs up on the players here.
  10. Maybe, but I get the distinct impression that they wouldn't have gone for the cliffhanged ending unless they intended to finish it themselves. Too bad they may not get that chance.
  11. I've yet to finish a game. You recite names for every strategy left and right. You also remind people all the time exactly how familiar you are with the ins and outs. I think you even went so far as to say, the game should always be posted entirely in short-hand so that you'd be the only one to understand it. You can't claim to be inexperienced after making a huge deal about how experienced you are. Deceiving people in-game is part of the game. Deceiving people out of the game is just bad-form.
  12. That is totally and completely unrelated by me playing Germany in the latest Diplomacy game. Nothing to see here! Move along!
  13. Perhaps to reflect where he would spend skill points as a character? Maybe it is to dillute and waste his skill points so that he isn't too useful with any other skills. I don't know.
  14. Click on the original link, not the quoted one. That may be your problem.
  15. I see the same message with that same title. I wonder why.
  16. He may have started with 2 points when you got him.
  17. I've seen the error numerous times. The topic still creates despite the error.
  18. Characters may have ranks in it from items, or automatically, but I don't believe you can put points into Persuade as you level up.
  19. That happens to me occassionally, but the topic is created none the less. I imagine that's why people sometimes create the same topic twice, because they didn't think it posted correctly the first time.
  20. I love how Baley had left both London and Belgium completly undefended. He must really trust me, and Kaftan. Kaftan could just walk into Belgium if he wanted, and stick around for another year!
  21. Anger leads to rants. Rants lead to furious typing. Furious typing leads to broken keyboards. Broken keyboards lead to Kevin Bacon, and as we all know, Kevin Bacon leads to the Dark Side.
  22. I'm all for faster turns if the players are active!
  23. The improvements may be more or less apparent in different games.
  24. The game was a good canidate for best RPG of the year. It wasn't the best RPG of all time, but there wasn't much competition this year either. If the game were properly finished, I don't think there would even be a debate. Can someone please tell me what other RPG really deserved to win?
  25. Episode 3 the game was pretty disappointing, but the movie was pretty good.
