Fair enough. Tone is difficult to garner from pure text, but often an emoticon helps establish what tone you are going for. Admittedly, I don't use them enough.

Given that the US Men's soccer team has been steadily improving every year (and just shut out Mexico) while our Women's team won both a World Cup and Olympic Gold, I think we've established ourselves a bit. If people in England want to call a baby carriage a pram, then they shouldn't mind if I say soccer. We all know what we mean.

I'm usually all about semantics. I want people to take me at face value, so I take other people at face value. I expect people to say what they mean, and mean what they say. If I infer another meaning from a person's post other than the one proposed by the actual semantics of their post, am I implying the person is lying, stupid or has poor communication skills?

I think the Halo series is horribly overrated, and GTA:SA is a fantastic game. -
Note the operative word, "probably".

Goldfinger still holds up reasonably well. It has Goldfinger, Connery, Odd Job and **** Galore. "Hello, ****"

I tend to agree. Jesus would be like, "why are we judging people in the first place?"

Actually I just read last week, that there were some remains to suggest the two were living together at the same time in Europe. Let me see if I can dig up the article. And even if humans shifted genotypes to homo sapien, it is still not a huge leap that the phylogenic tree suggests. We teach that all humans were originally loose acids sloshing around in primordial soup becoming the first proteins. Edit: http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/200509/s1450949.htm -
Connery is doing the voice for the new Bond video game. I think Pierce Brosnan made a good Bond, but starred in some really bad Bond movies.

Jesus was a rebel, who was found to be guilty of sedition by the government at the time. He was a hippie who had long hair, talked about freedom, etc. Don't forget that Jesus also hung out with criminals, sinners, prostitutes and tax collectors. I don't think Bush would be down with a guy like Jesus.

On a side note, I watched footage of a man being eaten alive by a lion (On Consumption Junction) and that visual will probably never leave me. For a while I thought shock sites were cool, but after seeing a few rather visual deaths caught on camera, I don't think I'll be going back.

Princess Sarah Princess Sarah has an attack of one half Princess Sarah has a defense of one. Princess Sarah is a "Geek Fangirl" type card. Special powers: Once per turn, she can distract EnderWiggin with the "Wonder Twins

I think Clooney is suave. He has the EXACT same demeanor in every role, so I'd say he is a poor actor. But if he were British, he'd make the perfect Bond. Hell, screw the accent and cast him as Bond anyway. Now MGM is talking about Karl Urban as bond, and he neither has the presence nor the accent.

Live - Lightning Crashes It's on the radio. On a side note, Live put on a free concert here to kick off the College World Series, and all the parents were there with kiddies for the fireworks. Everyone talked through the concert, and no one had any clue who Live was until they played this song. Then the crowd went nuts. Bastards.

BINGO! Ever notice that Democrats running for office never quote Moore, or look for his endorsement? Most smart Democrats stay very clear of him. He is a documented liar and I loathe his kind. Natalie Portman puts in a top-notch performance in almost every single movie I've ever seen her in. George Lucas is a poor director when it comes to getting good performances, and an even worse screenwriter. If you get the Episode II DVD and watch the cut scene's with Padme's family (the few they showed) you see that Lucas cut out the only scenes that gave Padme character, or sold the romance.

I dispute evolution, as would Charles Darwin if he were alive. At least I dispute the way evolution is taught. Charles Darwin wrote that evolution occured as a necessity to survive. If the Galapogos finches showed us anything, it's that the parent species disappeared when evolution became a necessity to survive. When I took Biology, we studied the phylogenic tree, and how pond scum became human. Except most of the steps along the way are species that exist today. We know for a fact that evolution occurs because we observe it. In just a few generations, we can see brand new traits occur in insects that exist a few generations prior. However, again, those that do not adopt these traits often die out. Pure random mutation does occur as well, so really there are two types of evolution. But the random mutation often does is not nearly as wide-sweeping. Yet people credit Darwin for the concept of evolution where frogs were a step on the phylogenic tree towards the development of human beings. According to Darwin's theories, frogs would not be in the same ecosystem as humans if frogs were a step along the line towards human evolution, let alone other primates. I know it takes an AWFUL long time inbetween leaps according to the theories, but given the millions of species out there, over the past few centuries, wouldn't one of those species have made a huge leap? If I am to believe that tube worms suddenly became snakes, or that fish crawled out of the ocean, then why haven't we seen anything to suggest something like that occured? -
What's your problem with Natalie Portman?

Look at what the error is saying. In the tabel ibf_mail_queue, the following entries are being made: emges@web.de into mailto, 1125873094 into mail_date, Forum Subscription New Topic Notification into mail_subject, and Hallo Revan Solo into mail_content. Somehow, the forum thinks Revan Solo is subscribed to the whole forum which in an of itself is wonky. Next, the syntax error is pretty simple. The endquote and end parenthesis is missing, so SQL cannot process the query. mySQL query error: INSERT INTO ibf_mail_queue (mail_to,mail_date,mail_subject,mail_content) VALUES('emges@web.de',1125873094,'Forum Subscription New Topic Notification','Hallo Revan Solo! I disagree. Suikoden III has a Chibi look to it, and I likely wouldn't take the game seriously. Given the two screenshots, I'd argue IV is a better looking game.

Update on content patch please OE
EnderAndrew replied to actmodern's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Obsidian posted on the content patch. Lucas removed it. I hate seeing blame being assigned to the wrong parties. If they didn't care about it, they wouldn't have worked their butts off to put together a game in like 9 months of full production time. I wonder how many start-ups could pull something like that off? If you seriously have such a negative opinion of Obsidian and their projects, then perhaps this isn't the forum for you. -

If there is a dust cloud blocking out the sun, we could have nuclear winter. The debate it seems is whether or not nuclear war would create such a dust cloud. I'm not a physics geek, but I've read several scientists are now dismissing the dust cloud theory. -
Actually I'm not the jealous type. Sarah has her crushes on various celebrities and it doesn't bother me. We also check our girls together.
