  1. Any chance of seeing a small easter-egg reference to the classic Star Wars fan-films like Hardware Wars, George Lucas in Love, or Troops?
  2. I feel bad for semi-flaming Volo a minute ago. I have to agree with him here.
  3. I dig Iron Chef. For the most part, I dig Chairman Kaga. But he is a little scary. He dresses like the Japanese Elvis and bites into bell peppers. His hair-cut is frightening. And he has outbursts of emotions reminiscent of anime.
  4. Who just bites into bell peppers? Seriously.
  5. Akari is a nifty frood.
  6. I'd like a decent cut-scene for the end of the game. KOTOR was a great game, but the end left a lot to be desired.
  7. Halo was supposed to be PC only, and Halo PC came out a good year or so later than Halo X-Box. Star Wars: Obi-Wan was slated for PC only, and became X-Box only. Fable was rumored to be a PC title, that is now X-Box only.
  8. That would not surprise me in the least. The question is, will Microsoft strong-arm LA to make it an X-Box exclusive, rather than an X-Box/PC title.
  9. My opinions on upcoming RPGs have all be skewed after what I refer to as the "Ultima 9 debaucle". With 5 Years in development, the end chapter in perhaps the greatest RPG series of all time tanked. The dev team (and Richard Garriot himself) were quite active on the forum promising tons of great features. The shipped game had half of them. Often I wondered what would happen if they focused less on responding to online posts, and more time on developing the game. I like the fact that online communities are catered to, to a certain extent, but my preference is always that they focus on the game first and foremost. So I'm not too worried about a lack of content.
  10. Here's to hoping for a greatly changed KOTOR:3 someday.
  11. Judging from the recent interview FU gave, they haven't changed much and accepted that KOTOR was a pretty good game. I'm expecting the story to be better in KOTOR:TSL, but not many huge changes. Now, for Obsidian's second game, I'm ready to be truly surprised.
  12. I haven't seen a WHOLE lot of intelligent debate on the forum. There are several posters who often make a good post, but those posts are often sandwiched inbetween whines and flames. If I didn't have rather high hopes for Obsidian, I probably wouldn't spend time here.
  13. Thanks go out to Ferret, Michael Chu and FrankK, or my HomeSkillets.
  14. I enjoy Ultima IV. I've played it a few times. I prefer Ultima VII and Ultima V over IV.
  15. The devs did say that certain types of content were more likely to be released to the press during interviews. As more magazine/website articles come out, more screenshots are likely to emerge.
  16. You said: And I responded with things to talk about. This forum is full of things to talk about. And I didn't even touch the gameplay video yet. That too brings up many topics of conversation. I have no qualms with you, or your posts in general. However, I think it's a little childish to stomp your feet and complain about a lack of information when the devs have answered plenty of questions, provided us with interviews, screenshots, concept art, and a gameplay movie and the community ignored that content. Perhaps they should discuss the content given before demanding more.
  17. Certain games give you the option of reloading or retrying before kicking you to the main menu.
  18. Reposted from another thread for your viewing pleasure: The screenshots and concept art already give us a lot to speculate about. People are too busy bitching about Carth, or debating robe styles to discuss them however. Consider the asteroid exploding, or that odd gridwork above a planet. The new Sith with a mask. The sceenshots show combat with multiple types of enemies, something KOTOR was skimpy on. Why is there a character wielding a red (usually Sith/evil) and a blue (good-guy) lightsaber at once? PC's obviously could do this in the first game, but this suprises me in an official screenshot. What are those red-glowing things around the handles of the two lightsabers? There is an interesting bridge/navigation area in one the screen-shots. Whose ship is that? What is that big-uber-droid in the last screenshot? Is Peragus actually an asteroid and not a planet? What are the new creatures in concept art? What are the purposes of the laser beams in the third concept art? Are Kreia's robes modelled after Samurai garb? What are the new locations? Is Mira single? There's a lot to talk about.
  19. I think that's a great idea.
  20. Kessel is actually a planet, not an asteroid.
  21. With great power comes great responsibility. Now go lick that carapace!
  22. Jordan left for several years, and only came back for a team he partially owned, under a coach he personally hired. Jordan quit the game he loved when Phil Jackson wasn't retained by the Bulls. Considering that Jordan played under GREAT coaching in North Carolina, that remains quite a move by Jordan.
  23. Thanks as always for great info, Akari.
