I actually own this game on my PS2 and my XBox. My roommate hijacked my PS2 and GTA:SA, so I just started anew with the game on the XBox. Man, I love this game.

lol A big, huge, fat, negative on that one, Ace. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Considering that you have been flat wrong in your technical arguements with me to this point, you should learn to drop this. Pure processing power is measured in flops. With this generation, it comes down to terraflops, and the PS3 has twice the raw power of the 360. It's cold, hard facts that independent developers have confirmed. Some debate how the power will be used, and some debate the strengths and weaknesses of each CPU. But honestly, the lion's share of processing will likely go through the GPU for both systems, so I don't think it will be a huge issue. Either way, you've really gone out of your way to destroy any credibility you might have by consistently denying facts and instead throwing out empty propoganda.

Sawyer, Tell your art team they did an incredible job. I can't wait to see the game in 720p. Gauntlet Legends and Dark Legacy were a decent way to pass some time with friends, but both games looked horrid for their time. They were arcade ports done poorly. Seven Sorrows looks infinitely better in comparison. The decision to jump away from cartoony graphics was a big plus. I have one question. Is there still a traditional narrator? Green Warrior is about to die, etc? Dark Legacy had a narrator for bits, but was really under-used. It just doesn't feel like a Gauntlet game without one. Yellow Elf needs food badly!

Kingdom Hearts 2 is in the works. There is a trailer for Kingdom Hearts 2 in Kingdom Hearts 1 if you unlock everything (all the dalmatians, beat the optional bosses, etc) Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is a direct sequel to Kingdom Hearts, and it's out now on the GBA, but the gameplay is very different. It's a card-battle system. You don't have to play it to play Kingdom Hearts 2, though you'll miss the side-story I guess. Kingdom Hearts 2 looks great, and considerably more mature. -
Whether or not GhostofAnakin was argumentative, there is a sticky, and all of the K3 threads are being closed, and people still keep starting them. People need to read stickies, and read the threads in a given area (perhaps use the search function to realize this has been posted before) and then create a new topic.

I hate the Vong. I'm fine with references, but I hope they don't appear.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList....Go.x=27&Go.y=27 You can get a 6600GT for as cheap as $150. They have a refurbished one for $130. That x800 is $240. I could contend the 6600GT is still the sweet-spot for best ratio of price to performance.

Germans have words for everything. You have to love that. I bet they have a word for having smegma in your teeth. Either way, Superman is still a boring character that we can't relate with. Some may emulate his "bad-ass-ness", but I'd prefer a character who struggles and has a semblence of human nature.

If the room was really hot, it could simply be overheated. Most motherboards have safety features that shut off the power automatically when it gets too hot, and it won't start again until it cools down. You could also have a dead mobo.

Paris Hilton is far from beautiful. Her face is plain, she's a twig with no curves to speak of, and she's completely vapid. You can't say that we should credit her with good looks, when she has no control over genetics and then say we shouldn't judge her for being stupid.

There are physicists currently really pushing wormhole theories as the only viable means of faster than light travel. Even that wouldn't necessarily be true faster than light travel, but a means to circumvent standard distances at what would appear to be faster than light speeds. Faster than light travel has been problems, such as propulsion, inertia, charting safe courses, etc. Imagine for a second what a tiny rock chip can do to your window at 60 miles per hour. Now imagine a rock or ice chip in space at say something like 674 million miles per hour. Add to that theoretical complications from the theory of relativity, that would suggest even if we could leap the immediate hurdles, travelling faster than the speed of light just isn't possible. And I also maintain the math thread was full of spam before I got there. I just threw in two math puns. God forbid I joke on-topic. Apparently that is spam. It's not like I screamed the B word, or made 3 pages of posts that consisted solely of emoticons.

Would Mace Windu Have beaten Sidious?
EnderAndrew replied to jodo kast 5's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
No, you ignore the proof I offer up without attempting to rebutt it. My proof relies on three major points, which you repeatedly ignore. 1 - The books never go out of their way to suggest Palpatine is lying or decieving. It's inferred, and eventually outright stated in context. If you can't make the inferrence that Palpatine lies or makes himself look harmless when he isn't then you apparently really didn't get the movies at all. The scene in question, and the specific point of debate here is that Palpatine specifically stated that he was on the brink of death at Mace Windu's hands. Palpatine also stated that his visage reflects the damage that Mace Windu did to Palpatine. However, where as I haven't read the novel, the Visual Dictionary states that is Sidious's true face and always has been, but Windu's attack revealed it. Clearly Palpatine wasn't on the brink of death as he turned the tables the second he wanted to, and he had lied about everything else in said conversation. Why do you insist there is no "proof" he lied about not being able to defend himself? 2 - Does the story arch of the entire prequel trilogy rest about accepting that Palpatine/Sidious was capable of deceiving even the most perceptive of Jedi, and the entire galaxy? Yes. Does the plot of Episode 3 specifically rely upon Sidious setting up Anakin to turn? Yes. Does the script and novel go so far as to suggest that Sidious even created the immaculate conception of Anakin through the Force and orchestrated all of Anakin's life? Yes. Despite his grand strategy over decades and trillions of lives in the galaxy, you find it impossible to believe that Palpatine was faking it, and claim there is no proof to suggest Palpatine was faking it? Palpatine faked everything! Can you seriously claim to be that dense to suggest there is no reason to believe Palpatine didn't fake something? 3 - Again, most every major character recognizes Yoda as the most powerful Jedi. Lucas has outright said it to boot. Palpatine beats Yoda down, and yet you suggest Palpatine was old and weak. You completely ignore the beginning of that scene where Palpatine moves with insane speed and chops down other Jedi Masters in the blink of an eye. Truly, Palpatine was weak. I said that you ignored my points, and act as if your view is the only possible one. You reaffirmed my stance. I don't know how to explain it any more clear than that. If you still insist that your particular subjective interpretation is the only one possible, then I'll call you ignorant. Movies are subject to interpretion. You can argue your view and that's fine. Saying that your interepretation is the only one is pretty arguemenative. -

No, it has been established that the government does not recognize religion in any other fashion, and thusly this is the closest they come to recognizing a religion. Again, in a civil debate it is important to establish terms. I think most people here are having problems with the term recognize. They think recognize means acknowledge the worth of, where as recognize simply means recognize. You may wish to go back to where I listed a link to a dictionary definition. Really, and what is that process? I've never seen of it, or heard of it. Your fellow country mates have said the UK doesn't do anything to recognize any religion, and it's not like Christians have to sign a waiver to prove they are really Christian, and that the religion is valid. New religions pop up all the time. From a legal standpoint, governments may recognize the non-profit status of a specific church, but they don't go out of their way to say one belief is valid, and another belief is not valid. That is at the heart of this arguement. We're not talking about the validity of being Jedi. We're talking about whether or not the government, who has no connection with authorizing, giving their approval on, or validating religion in any other way other than the census, did recognize the religion on their census. Did they recognize it on their census? Yes. Is it fair to say they then recognized the religion? Yes. Did I state it so much as to say, they only recognized it as much as they recognize any other religion on the census? Yes. Did I try to say they espoused the beliefs, or made some effort to acknowledge the validity of said beliefs? No. These aren't opinions. These are facts. Oddly enough you said a few paragraphs up that there is specific UK law on being recognized. Now you contradict yourself. Noticing and paying attention to count as being recognized. Apparently everyone is missing that. The government went out of their way to notice and recognize the 390,000 people in England/Wales alone who called themselves Jedi. That is fact.
-
Those are poor analogies. France isn't an answer to the question given. Candles aren't a type of lightbulb. However, there are individuals in the world who truly and honestly treat the Jedi Knights as a religion, and the individuals who answered Jedi on the census were answering the question with a religion, regardless of whether or not they did so under false pretenses. And government officials did say they "recognized" Jedi as a religion on the census. Thusly, it is fair to see they officially recognized the religion, as far as a government will recognize one, which is simply on the census. Your latest arguement is that their answer was absurd and not appropriate as a response. If that's the case, then Raelianism should be discounted as well, and sadly that is recognized as a religion.

The only problem with random killing is that it may make missions harder later if every gang wants you dead before you really get into the game.

Would Mace Windu Have beaten Sidious?
EnderAndrew replied to jodo kast 5's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Palps obviously never faked anything. Did the novelization outright say that Palp was lying in Episodes 1 or 2? No. Then he was telling the truth the entire time! And I can't really say what the novel for 3 says, because I haven't read it. But rest assured, I will see if I can nab a copy real soon. Either way, there is no denying that the entire prequel trilogy rests on Palpatine's ability to deceive, appear innocent and harmless, and manipulate the entire galaxy, including the entire Jedi order. Furthermore, Lucas still said that Yoda is the most powerful Jedi, and Palpy still beat Yoda down. You ignore my points and state that your belief is the only valid one, pretending that others don't have any interpretations of their own. http://redwing.hutman.net/%7Emreed/warriorshtm/grunter.htm -
Yet countless people who have never played it seem to bash it. Honestly, I want to sit console-bashers down with this game for an hour and gague their reactions.

That's exactly the point. The closest the government gets to recognizing religion is via the census, and the government went out of their way to recognize it on the census. They admit they recognize it on the census. If that's the only way they recognize a religion, and they did it for Jedi, then they recognized Jedi as a religion. Does that mean the British government respects the belief in the Force as a viable means for living your life? No one is saying that. Regardless, the government doesn't have a place in recommending one religion, or knocking another. However, it us undeniable that they recognized the religion. http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=recognized Look at the definition of the word, and you'd be hard pressed to argue they didn't. If you want to argue that Jedi isn't a real religion in your mind, that's fine. If you want to argue that the people who listed Jedi as their religion may have done it as a joke, that's fine. But when you say that I'm wrong, and that I'm making this up by saying the government recognized the religion, that's where we are apparently going to disagree.
