  1. I agree with the training comment, don't like the idea of feats for robes.Disagree with with the idea that treating them as a style of "armor" is a bad thing. Jedi being the only one that can use them is about the what the robes mean,it's like a uniform,it shows they're Jedi.
  2. Now I know what ZSSM feels like Cute D.
  3. Okay. Lightsaber forms should make for a nice little feature.
  4. No Cap?When/where was that said?
  5. Was it actually said that we won't be able to get _a_ lightsaber before we'd have a chance to retrieve the PC's lightsaber? IIRC, the devs said that this time it is just a side quest, not part of the main quest. And yes, the PC's lightsaber is apparently special and worth tracking, but I doubt very much that those of us who decide against it would just have to play through the game without any Jedi weapon. I'm pretty sure we'll be able have a lightsaber before doing the optional quest to gain the PC's. We just don't know when or where that will be,and apparently it won't be the same for everyone. I hope that we start the game with a melee weapon feat and a firearm feat, as the PC has been surviving without the Force for 5 years. Don't know about the armor - in KOTOR the PC got the armor feats from the non-Jedi class and pure Jedi NPCs didn't have any. Maybe a light armor feat to show for those 5 years, too, maybe not. Probably we'd have one additional feat to chose, as in KOTOR. As was pointed out, wasn't really said what the PC has been doing. Everyone's welcome to their POV and I can respect yours. Personally I'd rather a meele and ranged weapon feats be up to the person creating the character to place because more often then not they're going to unused and could have been better used else where in those cases. As to Kreia's weapon, IIRC she is never shown with a lightsaber on Peragus and some screens on other planets show her with melee weapon as well, so perhaps she also lost her lightsaber when getting to Peragus and needs to replace it. Or maybe we can just appropriate hers as soon as the PC gets reconnected to the Force (I hope that it doesn't take as long as in the first part for it to happen). Yes she was,but the screens could simply have been taken to show off different things. The Devs can set up whatever little scene they want for a screen. Doesn't mean it made it into the final version. Though she is a Jedi and on the official site she's shown with a saberstaff,so you never know.
  6. Interesting idea, but seeing how you could use Jedi,Jedi Knight, and Jedi Master robes without feats in the first one I don't see them making you need a feat to use on in this game. Never know though.
  7. Right there with the auto level when you became a Jedi...
  8. I wonder if youll still get lightsaber proficiency even though you're so out of practice from your exile. You pry do,you just don't have access to a saber anytime near the start of the come. Considering the comment on the IGN saber article about not everyone getting a saber at the same time it would be a real blow to gain a saber but not have th feat to use it. And you do start as Jedi,I can see one feat placed in it. Could be wrong too. Can we assume that Kreia,"misplaced" her saber? Other wise the PC could just take hers. If you do start out with the feat. Maybe you gain the feat as soon as you first get your saber.
  9. Same as Knights how, with what preset feats they give? Why do that? I mean I understand the draw to doing a Blaster Jedi or an Armor Jedi but the feats for those styles shouldn't be the preset ones. They pretty much get wasted if you don't use one of those. And didn't eveyone get one feat to place at the start?
  10. Has it been said when we create our character how many feats we'll get to place? Or start with? In Knights I believe it was set up so the Solider had 9 and the other two 8 and everyone got to place one feat. A lot of the feats, unless you making a Blaster Jedi or Armor Jedi, were wasted after Taris. I'm sure there will be class specific feats for the different Jedi classes, but would they put as starting feats, long ranged feats? Or melee? So does that mean less feats at the start? Would we have more then one feat we can pick at the start? I.E. 4 or 5 feats depending on the class preset and then 4 or 5 we get to place. Or did they come with 8 or 9 preset Jedi class feats?
  11. Well here's to a good game then.
  12. but in the end the dark will own all in the face Neither side will ever own the other, least not a 100%. You can't have one without the other. Besides the dark side just ends up owning itself in the end. "
  13. And concerning the personal benefit, living in exile in the deepest jungles of Kashyyk doesn't sound very exciting to me. Sounds like fun too me...but anyway... Jolee wasn't neutral,he was gray there's a difference. Neutral has no side, they don't really care who wins as long as their is a balance. Jolee had a side, the light. He wanted the light to win,he wanted the Sith be brought down. However he didn't follow the extreme end of the Light. He didn't believe in all the rules or regs put into place by the Jedi Order. Even the "right" side can create a wrong rule.
  14. No prob. Keep in mind I'm not saying that it can't be Can,it very well might be. There are a lot of things that could be pointing to that, not info for sure. Wouldn't be a huge surprise to me if it turns out to be the case. Heh,won't really matter to me on a personal level because I didn't really care for Can and I doubt I'll care for the Leader of the Mandalores unless they do a major over all on his personality, which I doubt other wise he wouldn't be the leader of the Mandalores.
  15. Since I know nothing about D20 and will freely admit that, and since I have no reason to not take you at your word on this, I will simply agree. Though I am still not positive as to why (saying canderous and Mandalore are one in the same) that they would use him, because it would just suck ass if everytime you met someone from kotor that they were low level again. because that would also mean that revan could be a low level character if you were to meet him/her in the early stages of the game. Not really a matter of knowing the D20 rules, which I myself am no expert on. Basically when you're in a battle you control it's your stats vs the stats that were given too the character you're fighting. However stats don't always have anything to do with the story. For example,I've played a lot of games where my stats were at a point where I could mop the floor with a boss/character in a player controlled fight. However once the story took back over my character was on the ground and just made it through the fight while the Boss is laughing at my character. Because even though stat wise my character was stronger, story wise me character was not. They don't always add up and a lot of people feel as you do that meeting someone who should be powerful is a low level sucks. I agree it's nice when the game mechanics and the story add up but sometimes they simply don't. What will happen in this case I don't know. Just saying that they don't always add up.
  16. Q:about Mandalor, Is that a genral tittle for know or is he the Mandalor. A:He is the Mandalore. -Akari Don't think it's a place holder.
  17. If this is the case then Canderous should be the strongest mandalorian in the whole galaxy since at the end of KOTOR he would have been between level 16 and level 20 (all depending on how high you leveled him and when you last used him). I know I've said this a lot but game mechanics don't always make a perfect fit with the story. His number level and stats wouldn't mean, least have to mean, that he was the best the of best. Though there is one problem with canderous being mandalore and thats the fact that if he is in fact mandalore that would mean that we wouldn't be able to have him in our party till much later in the game than most of us would like (more than likely after we get the prestige class), since he would still be a high level character in the TSL. Maybe, maybe not because of my statement above. It's nice when the game mechanics and the story make a perfect fit but they don't always do so.
  18. In a game like this your Number level and stats are a Game mechanic, and your actual number level and stats doesn't always equal you story power. Sometimes they're different.
  19. " Unless he has another master...
  20. GOA:I'd hope our PC is older than his/her 20's. Vet of the Mandalore wars plus being a Jedi before he left should put him at least in his 30's. Master:late 30's to mid 40's for pc really at the youngest From the Casting Doc we sent to LucasArts... PC - varies, depending on what you want your character to look like. Atton Rand is 29-32. Handmaiden, Disciple, and Visas Marr are all 25. Kreia looks 50, but like Yoda, who knows. T3 was built in K1, so he's only had 5 years of hard living. Mandalore is 63 in Mandalorian years. Mira is 23. The others are not specifically referenced, but you can probably backtrack from their histories in the game to figure it out. From this topic by Chris A
  21. I meant proof about Mandalore My Bad. Thats fine. But his depiction of the Mandalorians seems to violate basic facts about them It's SW,basic facts don't always exist. I think certain people have joined the Mandalores. Such as Jango, who wasn't a Mandalore by birth I believe. So there might be a mix of people, which could pry have an effect on their life span, least the children born to such people. As for the normal life span of true Mandalore. I donno,my understanding of the Mandalores is limited because I never found a lot of interest in the group.
  22. I can't find any sort of link to a page that says it,however if in The Two Towers when he's helping the people of Rohan to Helms Deep and the blond woman(forgot her name) Goes to him and gives him some food they have a conversation in which his age is mentioned. And the Mandalores I always thought the same as you,but Nuke has all ready proved he knows a lot more about the Mandalores then I do so I'm not even going to try and argue that one.
  23. different universe, if it's even true I agree on the different universe part. But it is true,I think he was 87,maybe 82. Pretty sure it was 80 something.
  24. Maybe he was in charge of a battle that resulted in the death of a number of innocents. During the battle the character was hurt and returned the Jedi. They order him/her into exile because the death toll.
  25. Might have, though I think that was said in here as a guess as to what was going on.
