  1. True, but I can't help but feel resentment because people have to suffer from the bureaucrats' poor judgement. Ah well, all in the name of entertainment. Some other bit of info from the article. There were some screens in the mag that had info on different characters. In their back ground was the mist that shows up in their character pic in the game. Kreia was gray and Visas Marr was blue,an effect of your actions towards them? Or simply nothing more then a pretty pic? Didn't think somone like Marr could be switched. And there's a comment about Handmaiden: "fiercely protective of you and will follow you to the ends of the galaxy"
  2. If the Republic/Jedi/Sith/whoever happens to be in power doesn't screw up then there's no game. It's the screw up that allows for the story to come into play. So it's lucky for us gamers that the people in power are morons. "
  3. "For a sequel to such a classic title, it was almost expected for it to 'do' an Empire Strikes Back. Well it not so much 'does' an Empire Strikes Back, as 'outdoes' it. If you want dark side fury and hopelessness for all that is good in the Galaxy, KOTOR II's got it in spades" "For the first few hours of play (four or five without sub-quests, touching doublefigures with) there is nothing to do but run. The hunt is on and you'll find yourself making desperate, frantic dashes across many worlds to escape the Siths clutches." "You will be worn, beaten and humiliated by the time the pursuit eases a little. You'll resent the game for making you suffer hours of relentless, seemingly hopeless fleeing, but trust us you'll appreciate it ((Not huge, but could be considered one none the less)) The Party "Each has an agenda and seems to be helping you because it suits them, not because they are particularly beheld to you. This causes friction within the group, which, naturally you're left to resolve. The implementation of potentially volitile 'side taking' within the party is just the first of many new interwoven elements of KOTOR II" "Depending on how long you listen to someone, or how often you heed their advice, their opinion of you will rise or fall, as will their force alignment. Others in your party who disagree with your actions (light or dark) will then cease to offer help, so there is potential for your team, the people you'll rely on to save your life, to implode from within" "....but as Kreia the Obi-Wan of the peice points out, simply doing the right thing is no longer adequate. Through the new force bond you can see, via Kreia's telepathy the consequences of your actions. You may give a begger credits, but then to witness him murdered for them, makes you question and second guess everything you're asked to do"
  4. Little more info said to be in the mag,as before read at own risk.
  5. Another Speculation/Spoiler of sorts from the info listed.
  6. Was posted up else where, said to be from the review. Has some spoilers, read at your own risk. If the above is correct then.... Speculation/Spoiler based on above info, read at your own risk.
  7. and to Silversun, I don't really think about grapics either, my favorite games are the Civilization series .. but I know some Xboxers who claim that they have better graphics so that was why I included it.. Ahh I see. (ps how come you have "a flah of Silver and it's over" instead of a lvl number?) I don't know... Been curious about that for awhile,my name glitched or something. I had that in my Local just for fun...but it seemed to take the place of my user level. And now my local is empty... Maybe I'm in the matrix?
  8. to all console owners: I never understood why anyone wanted to play on consoles .. (not attempting to flame here don't worry) I'm just wondering .. Why do you think makes a XBox or PS2s etc better than PC's? imo you can do alot more with a PC, you can even get the controllers if thats what you want .. and it's not the graphics, because they are better on a PC, and you can plug your PC to the television if you want a 60 inches widescreen view .. So why? edit: besides from getting games earlier! which is a good point I guess .. Graphics mean nothing to me I could care less. Yes the PC is the more powerful mahcine and has a lot more that can be done with it but I get what I want out of the Xbox/PS2. I personally like both styles,my comp just can't handle the newer games and I don't have the cash to drop on a new one other wise I'd pry do more PC gaming.
  9. Maybe, like I said if it's late it's late. Not anything I can do about it either way. I'm simply not going to get all worked up,well at all really, but if I was it wouldn't be over this.
  10. Because LA's web pages are always a step behind? I don't know the answer to that one,was just saying people shouldn't be worried at this point because nothing has been said about the game going gold.
  11. Gold in game terms is when the game is ready to be mass produced and shipped out. It usually happens about a week before the game is shipped.
  12. because it takes about 2 weeks to mass produce the games and get them shipped out to stores. If it is on time, they're cutting it awfully close. After a game goes gold it's usually 7 to 8 days later that it's shipped, not two weeks. So I wouldn't expect to see anything saying it's going gold till right before the 1st of Dec. If it's late it's late, nothing anyone can do about that.
  13. Possible irl or not it's in the game which is all I care about.
  14. 213374U:How come it's not possible IRL to get a 'silver' colored beam of light? If it's a colour you can see (silver is the color of the light reflected by the metal of the same name), it's because there's a radiation with an associated frequency which the human eye perceives as that color. That said, it shouldn't be more difficult to get a silver beam than a beam of any other color. Stargate:While getting a silver beam of light isn't hard (so to speak), I think that they were merely refering to having a silver Lightsaber and not having a silver light, though I could be wrong. Yes we were talking about the lightsaber, and as to silver light,I could be wrong but I don't think it's possible to get light that looks metalic, least IRL,but I fully admit I might be wrong.
  15. Tales of the Jedi Companion,Tales of the Jedi: The Freedon Nadd Uprising.
  16. Miraluka a race native to the planet Alpheridies, they are born without eyes. However, through the use of the Force, they can see as well as any sighted race. Outwardly, the average Miraluka individual appeared to be a normal Human, with a decorative veil covering their face. They original Miraluka migrated to Alpherides several millennia before the Great Sith War, fleeing a planet which was geologically and tectonically unstable. Their innate abilities with the Force were brought to the forefront as genetic mutations brought on by Abron's infrared radiation eliminated their eyes. Very few Miraluka ever left the Alpherides, choosing not to disrupt their equilibrium. When Emperor Palpatine instituted his Jedi Purge, many Miraluka were killed or forced into hiding, and they remained aloof from the rest of the galaxy for many decades afterward
  17. We have workbenches in the game; between Bao-Dur and T3, both of them combine to make a full portable workbench you can access at any time. As Akari said, Bao-Dur is a Tech Specialist. T3, as the testers have discovered, kicks incredible amounts of ass. His droid-specific items are pretty good, in addition to his other skills and abilities. He's far from useless. Chris Avellone
  18. Nice work, thank you. That's all mantle of the force did to the color? Would have thought it did more, then again it wasn't really about the color, was the stats.
  19. Anyone have a screen of a "mantle of the force " saber? Might avoid such situations in the future if we have screen.
  20. Jad,this wasn't about the seach function my friend. You've stated that before and as I said before,to which I never got a responce, wasn't the DLC color teal or something? That doens't look teal to me. And as I put in the post I've never seen it confirmed by a dev that was the Silver saber, nor have I seen it said it wasn't. You feel the need to be rude because...?
