I found that I had trouble finding the perfect avatar pic for my characters in all those old games, including NWN and BG.

Finally earned enough Guardian marks to outfit my Warlock in all purple gear (yellow helmet). I should probably get back to finishing the main story at some point. I've been sidetracked trying to earn Guardian marks.
-
Luckily, I'd just finished a gold tier event thing. About five minutes after that, I got booted.

The PS4 Destiny servers must be down tonight. I couldn't log on, and neither could my friend (who lives on the other side of the continent from me -- so it wasn't a local issue). I've maxed out my Warlock starting class (forget its name), and now I'm working on the subclass. To be honest, other than the special ability, I don't see much of a difference between those and my Hunter classes.

Playing those Destiny strike missions with terrible players is frustrating. End fights that should be relatively easy turn into impossible tasks because they keep getting themselves killed. Apparently, it never occurs to them that running out in the open with 50 enemies shooting at you might not be the best strategy.

Still plugging along in Destiny. I'm one strike mission away from being able to purchase a purple pair of either boots or gauntlet for my Warlock. Not sure which one I'm going to get. Knowing my luck, as soon as I spend my Guardian marks on one, I'll stumble across one as a random loot drop.

Am I missing something, because I felt in the beta and alpha of the game, getting into groups was much easier, but getting through 3/4 of the moon missions now, I've only played one area with a friend which I had to invite from the get go. I will say one of the biggest faults of this game is the setup of the multiplayer component and how hard it can be to play with others on story missions. I'm not entirely sure what you mean about how hard it is to play with others on story missions. I've only played with one friend so far, but it didn't seem like an issue to me. He joined my fire team while I was still at the Tower, then we simply selected which missions we wanted to play. Do you mean friends or random strangers joining a story mission while you're already in the middle of it? Even then, my friend just popped up on the map I was playing on one time.

I'm learning a valuable lesson later on in Destiny: Don't waste glimmer/weapons parts/materials on lower level green or even blue items. You'll need a LOT of them when you've found purple or yellow items in order to upgrade them to their fullest potential. I've had to do a lot of scrounging for parts for my purple armor and yellow helmet, parts that I'd used earlier on green and blue items I no longer use.

Semantics.

I'm actually the opposite. At least when I'm playing through the single player campaign. Running with 3 party members usually results in them speed running it, so I miss half the stuff that happens on the level.

Still playing Destiny. Found my first epic? (yellow) armor piece, a helmet. And I finally made enough Guardian marks to buy a purple chest plate. So my character finally has two decent pieces of armor.

Almost bought it today, checked reviews and one said that the story mode was short and repetitive. This put me off. Is that an opinion you share? Borderlands could easily be called repetitive, but definitely not short. Couldn't really say yet. I haven't finished the main story. I got sidetracked doing bounties and strike missions. Each planet has around 5 or 6 story missions that take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to finish. Not sure how many total planets there are, as I've only "opened" three of them so far. I know there's at least one more I haven't unlocked yet because I've seen bounties for it. There's also co-op only missions on each planet, which also sort of flesh out the story. If I had to guess, I'd say it's not as long as Borderlands. But it seems longer than your typical FPS single player campaign.

Eh, up until Level 20, it doesn't really matter that much. You can get by with weapons you just randomly pick up along the way. Some of the guns/armor I had that wasn't blue was as good or better than the ones I had that were. But after Level 20, you sort of need it to level up more as you need to find armor components with a "Light" score to raise your level up past 20. The campaign/co-op reminds me a lot of Borderlands 2. The MP reminds me of Halo. So if you loved/hated those games, you'll love/hate Destiny.

Still playing Destiny. Finally have my Warlock all decked out in blue items for every inventory slot. The missing piece was the boots, which I finally unlocked after doing a strike. I even have a legendary (purple) gun. Strangely enough, I was rewarded with an armor chest plate that only Titans can use. It's useless to me unless I ever create a Titan character.

What? You mean it's not fair comparing the absolute worst of one group with those who are considered the "best" of the other group? -
Why is that girl only wearing a string bikini?

I'd back that as a kickstarter. Though I doubt kickstarter would generate enough to do a Star Trek game justice.

Well that sucks. I can't run it. I'm assuming the same will apply to PE as well. New computer soon!

I'm away for the weekend, so no PS4 or XBox 360 here. I wonder if my POS laptop can run Wasteland 2.

Ugh. That teaches me to read the item descriptions more closely. I'd put away some armor from my Level 20 guy to use with my second character. Some blues and greens, but low level stuff. Unfortunately, the armor is class specific. So my Hunter can't use the stuff my Warlock has unlocked. I do have some nice guns to pass along, though. My new character looks kind of funny with crappy ass armor but top of the line firepower.

Finally leveled my Warlock up to Level 20 in Destiny. Now I've got to do some tedious stuff to earn some unique armor sets. This part is going to take forever. I might take a break from my Warlock and try and level up another class.

Destiny feels a lot like Borderlands, but in a space opera setting rather than whatever Borderland's setting is considered. Its MP feels like Halo, though, which for me is horrible. I hate, hate, hate FPS where you have to shoot someone fifty times before they die. CoD did one thing right. One or two shots (if they're armored) and the opponent is down. A lot more fun than unloading on an enemy, only to see him bunny hop out of the picture, then re-emerge with full health again.

Typical my luck. I find two blue items (very rare) and both happen to be gauntlets, so I can only equip one. Where's the armor when you need it?
