I might get rid of them myself. Despite using them, the enemy always seems to know where I am anyway. So I might go with no silencer next time and see if it'll improve those long range shots where I hit them once but don't kill 'em.

Really? That was one of my issues with the AW guns compared to previous CoD games (MW2, I'm looking at you). I find the recoil is pretty bad when you're shooting at distance. I'll hit a guy once, but the gun will "bounce" and so I'll have trouble lining up the second shot. In MW2, I'd line up a guy in a building with my SCAR and unload three or four shots with the red dot barely even moving from his head after each shot. Which guns are you using? I prefer these two. I'm more short to medium range shooter. The one at the bottom usually kills them off in a 4 round burst, so there's no need to realign a shot. I use the fore-grip attachment, I believe it helps a little bit on recoil Neither pic showed up. In any case, my assault rifles of choice are either the first one (can't recall what it's called) or the first one you have above. Since I'm playing hardcore, I like to keep silencers on my gun. So I usually run with a silencer, a grip (better accuracy, apparently) and a red dot (find it easier to aim with). I do OK with it. I've managed to get my K/D up around 1.00 after starting off really, really badly. I just find that the recoil is a lot greater than in MW2 with my personal favorite SCAR.

The spawn points in CoD AW are horrible. This time my team was actually the beneficiary of the terrible spawn points. The opposition kept getting spawned right in front of my teammate's sentry gun. As soon as they'd spawn, they had zero time to even move before dying.

Just realized why I'm not liking this CoD MP as much as MW2 or whatever it was. These guns suck. I can't find a single one that I enjoy using. Most of the rifles aren't automatic, so they're useless in these run-n-gun maps. The ones that are, don't have much power/range. And I'm just not a submachine gun type of person. In MW2, there were at least 2 guns per class that I felt comfortable using. Zero of the guns in AW feel comfortable when I use them.

Ran into my first set of "exploiters" today in CoD. On one map, apparently you can get behind a glass door and can shoot out but nobody can shoot in. This idiot stayed in there the entire match, got a decent kill streak (where the glass door is, you have a good view of two main pathways people always pass by), and ruined the game for me. The next game (different lobby as I hate playing with cheaters), someone else used the exploit. What's the fun in doing that? Okay, cool, you go 20-0. But you cheated to do it. It's not like you actually dominated anyone with your skill to get that K/D. It would be like playing NHL15, but unplugging the other guy's controller. Cool, you won 15-0 against a team that wasn't even being controlled.

Ugh, so frustrated. I finally -- FINALLY! -- got a long kill streak and got a vulcan strike and an air strike queued up (couldn't use my air strike as someone else on my team had an air attack already in progress), but a couple of my idiot teammates decide to run around in the open instead of staying out of sight before I could activate them. Our team lost 75-74, when I could have won the match with smarter teammates. More than the fact we lost, I'm just annoyed that when I finally get some high end reward streaks (I've been struggling to get anything more than a UAV), I don't even get a chance to use them!

Went against my own advice and played more CoD tonight. Decided to try more hardcore TDM since I was getting annoyed with hitting the enemy first but not killing him since apparently you need a million bullets to kill in regular mode (hyperbole). Hardcore was better. At least when you hit the guy first, he goes down. The only downside is having bad teammates. If I'm facing one way, it's nice to have a teammate covering the other direction. But nope, there's zero teamwork and they just go running off to play solo TDM. I do have to get started on the SP campaign, though. Otherwise I might not get around to it, what with DA3 and Far Cry 4 coming out in a week's time. And that's assuming I don't give in to temptation and get Assassin's Creed first.

Reading about performance issues makes me 0% interested in the game. Prior to reading that, I had a 5% interest in the game. I'm sure they'll eventually clear up the lag issues. Hopefully. I'm still probably not going to get it. Not right now, anyway. I just bought CoD AW and, while I'm loathing the MP, I have to finish the SP campaign. And by then DA3 and Far Cry 4 will be out next Tuesday.

I'm tempted to pick up Assassin's Creed Unity today. I kind of got bored with the series after Revelations (or whichever one was about the civil war), and haven't played Black Flag yet.

I'll believe it when I see it (read about it). In the meantime, I think I've had enough of the MP portion of the game. Nothing more annoying than seeing on my screen that I shot an enemy multiple times before he'd even seen me, only to see a replay where he's put 3 bullets in me before I'd even turned around the corner. Losing to a better player is a worthy challenge. Losing to lag is just a waste of my time.
-
I'm pretty much convinced that lag is what's killing my CoD MP experience. Almost half of my deaths have occurred when, on my screen I see a guy and shoot him a bunch of times before he's even lifted his gun in my direction only to have him kill me, yet when the replay of the kill is played it's *me* that hasn't even lifted my gun when he's already shot me a couple of times. So many times I'll yell "Wtf? I shot him first", only to then see the replay that I hadn't even fired a single round before he'd put 2 or 3 into me. The problem is I'm not sure if the lag is on CoD's end or on my own internet connection's end.

I don't mind people holding down a strategic position in HCTDM, but the players who literally lay in one corner the entire game are annoying.

Do you want Alpha Protocol 2?
GhostofAnakin replied to Marburg's Postman's topic in Alpha Protocol: General Discussion
I think a lot could depend on how successful PoE ends up being. If it's a massive hit, then Kickstarting a spiritual successor to AP might be feasible. -
I have the worst luck/timing ever. Literally 90% of the time I get killed in CoD, it's by someone who is coming from a direction I *just* turned away from. If I'm staring left down a hallway for a second, someone comes at me from the right. If I'm facing left for a bit, then decide to turn right to make sure no one is coming that way, the moment I turn someone comes from the left. If I'm staring straight ahead for 10 seconds and see nothing coming, when I turn around to cover my flank, it's at that very moment when someone finally comes from the direction I'd spent most of my time looking. I must have a beacon above my character's head that says "he's looking the other way! Swarm now!" or something.

I want to play hardcore team deathmatch, but they don't have that in the classic playlist. Stupid jetpacks.
-
I believe you need 6 people to do that Vault of Glass raid, because you need enough people to occupy multiple platforms. I haven't been able to do it either for the same reason (not enough friends playing Destiny).

It seems to be a PS4 issue. I've read a few posts online about people complaining about lag. I decided to go back to the traditional TDM (no exo suits). I'm enjoying it a lot more. If I wanted to play Halo, I'd play Halo.
-
The lag on CoD for the PS4 is ridiculous. Most games, I've got one bar. It's pretty obvious, too. On my screen, I'll have shot the enemy 3 or 4 times. But after he kills me and they show the replay, on the replay it shows him shooting me before I even have a chance to raise my gun at him.
-
It's not just the exo suits (though they don't help). It's the map designs. They seem to cater more for people who just like to run around full speed and hip fire at people. You can't "hold down" sections of the map anymore because each building or room has a million entrances you can't cover. Once in a while I like to use the sniper rifle to cover my team from afar. But I find these latest CoD games are unforgiving if you play as a long range shooter. Either the map has too many obstacles to give you a large view of the map from any particular vantage point, or the places to set up have way too many access points to safely set up as overwatch for your team. Or maybe I just suck now.
-
I used to be good at CoD MP. Modern Warfare or Modern Warfare 2, I dominated. Apparently I've forgotten everything I used to know about shooting in FPS. Can't find a gun I feel comfortable with, can't seem to find any places on the map I feel comfortable with. And maybe it's my imagination, but the newest CoD seems to encourage run and gun. The long range weapons (ie. sniper rifle, assault rifle for range rather than quick shooting) seem useless. Might just go play the SP campaign and not bother with the MP.
-
Unless I'm just not seeing how, the CoD leaderboards are terrible. I can't sort any of the categories, and I can't even see what my friends' current stats are for CoD. Previous installments you just went to leaderboards, then scrolled through to find whichever category you wanted to compare.
-
I'm so tempted to buy it, but at the same time I don't know how long I'll actually play it. Especially because no one I know plays it on the PS4.
-
I forget which armor it was, but it was the one that allowed a ridiculous amount of moves per turn for my guys. It also took a lot of damage. I equipped my entire team with that and the retreat was relatively easy. None of the bad guys had enough moves per turn to reach my guys on my way back to the extraction zone.

About time, then. Because I'd literally do a happy dance when I'd come across a purple engram, only to then rage when the Cryptark would transform it into a blue item.
