  1. This is a Jedi Master who is a Zabrak and his face doesn't look like Maul's. Eeth Koth
  2. I could have sworn Chris Avellone had stated that you will NOT have amnesia. I think that article is a bit off with its information, unless they changed the story since the last time Chris Avellone posted on here.
  3. it apparently gives all enemies a migraine headache.
  4. the red face paint? that's not typical of Zabrak species, but just tatooes that Maul himself added.
  5. The Zabrak party member.
  6. I think what should have happened was if you appeared too "evil" when you first met the council, they should have rejected teaching you, and then you had to either 1)prove you were good by completing some random "good deed" before they would train you or 2)you get an invite to the Sith academy on Korriban and they teach you.
  7. I thought it was Republic that I was missing. The seperatists are the droids, or atleast that's what it looked like on the official site. Since it's online, then I'll pass. I hate playing online shooters because 1)I usually suck at them and 2)all these 15 year old kids make a nuisance of themself when they play with "nOObs"
  8. The one part that I wished would have been a lot better was reaction towards your character based on how you acted and what you'd accomplished. That's something that immediately jumps out at me as shallow design. I think if that were implemented, I'd be satisfied. Then again, I'm relatively easy to please.
  9. Even after reading reviews, I'm still not 100% certain what Battlefront is. Is it a FPS? Or what? I know you can play as one of 4 different factions (rebel, empire, droid, some other thing), but is it like Republic Commando where you play as a squad? Or is it a MMO?
  10. it does it tells him to keep going <{POST_SNAPBACK}> True enough. I might as well delete my posts to save Adria the trouble.
  11. I sure hope my last question will be used.
  12. All good points. But I'm curious how you'd remove the insta-stasis and still make it so you somehow confront Malak earlier in the game, without being able to kill him? The only thing i can think of is the Calo Nord on Taris situation where if you try and actually fight him, he takes one shot to kill you. But I don't know if that would work in the Malak situation, although it might make the "Bastila rescuing you" scenario seem more realistic just as Malak is about to finish you off.
  13. What would you have done then? I'm honestly curious to know what you'd implement in order to give you more choices, but at the same time keeping the core elements of the story intact (ie. Malak is the final fight "endboss", Bastila becomes his "prisoner").
  14. I never saw the point in putting easter eggs in games. Especially when it's overdone, it just becomes rather silly. So I guess to answer the original post, no I don't really want to see this done.
  15. you must have missed the saberwhip discussion then.
  16. I think that's where a lot of the dispute between myself and others has arisen. I view a "rpg" as something quite different than I suppose the industry definition. For me, a rpg is one in which I play a "role" and actually feel like I become that character and start to get pulled in to the main story, as if I'm the leading character in a movie. I felt KOTOR did that, with me being the lead "actor" and the story pulling me in. I did not get that same "immersion" from FO, because I didn't feel the main story was as involving. Yes, the freedom was there, but I don't believe that freedom=roleplaying. Again, that's just my own personal opinion and it obviously doesn't coincide with what the industry defines as a RPG, but for me that's what it is, and that's why I believe that people underestimate the "choices" that KOTOR provides.
  17. I must be a Jedi then. My parents are normal, but they always say I'm special.
  18. even in KOTOR bastila talks about emotional attatchments being forbidden. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> KOTOR was before the prequels, so it's kind of a given that would be the case.
  19. Yes and no. Some of the characters I grew fond of. Some I thought lacked depth and don't really care whether they're mentioned or not in TSL. And even those that I "cared" for, as long as Obsidian comes up with a good explanation for them, I won't be hurt or offended if they end up killing them.
  20. Theoretically, theres: 1-DS Male-DS Male 2-DS Male-LS Male 3-DS Male-DS Female 4-DS Male-LS Female And so on, with each starting alignment and gender breaking off into 4 alignment/gender combos. However, I'm not sure how much different the play throughs will be. For instance, in the first KOTOR you could play through 4 different ways, but only 2 of the ways actually had different endings.
  21. The problem with using the reasoning of closing threads because a few posts are uncalled for or way off topic is that you run the risk of NEVER keeping a thread open. No matter what the thread is about, I GUARANTEE that eventually you'll have a bunch of "kids" coming on trying to be funny by posting something stupid. I don't think the stupid posts are exclusive of this thread. I think stupid posts are indicative of all message boards.
  22. Actually, it's the definition of false advertising. When you go out of your way to advertise the simultaneous release in magazines, interviews, and trailers, which are by definition ADVERTISING, and then suddenly without notice change a significant item in that it becomes FALSE.
  23. Yes, because I don't want to play a game that I've been waiting for since it was first announced. Worst response you've ever come up with.
