This will be a wait-and-see for me. Thus far I've disliked with a passion the previous attempts at Star Wars RTS games (assuming that's what Force Commander and Rebellion fall under), so I'm going to have to wait until the reviews confirm whether it's worth the purchase or not.

about how many times have you beat kotor 1

I've wondered that myself. Anyone who has seen me post on here will testify I'm a big KOTOR fan, but even I can't grasp how playing through the same game that many times will still be fun. -

I still think the Outcast villager would make for the best beginning for a character in K3. It would tie in to the series, and also give the writers ample room for creativity with the character since they don't have to worry about amnesia or explaining why the character starts out where he/she does. -
That comes from living in a Province where the second class Roughriders play.

I always thought GURPS looked like a funny word. I had a hard time not laughing whenever I see someone suggest a game should use the GURPS system. Tee hee hee

The only thing I found annoying in K2's dialogue was the fact that the same lines showed up even after you exhausted them. That was fine early on, but as you went further into the game each party member would have about 8 dialogue trees, with a bunch of exponential dialogues attached to them so it became difficult to remember which one's I'd exhausted completely or not. I can't remember if K1 had that too, but in either case I wish once a dialogue was used, it disappeared as a choice.

I never tried it (or can't remember doing so), but probably not since the whole point of Force Wave is to push your opponent back, and hope to stun them. But since you're dealing with 3 lightsabers, I don't think you can "push" them. Also, I don't think Force Wave works well against the "main" bad guys, but I could be wrong.

Is that instead of TSL? " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes. But only because I finished playing TSL last week. " It was between FO2 or pick up a new game (read: one I haven't played yet, not necessarily "new"), and I was too lazy to go to the mall so I just re-installed FO2.

I don't think I've ever even played a console shooter. My entire FPS experience is on a computer, so I guess I can't make an accurate vote.

I'm replaying Fallout 2 as we speak (okay maybe not RIGHT now). It still holds it's playability value even now.

This should be in the Spoiler Forum. But regardless, I always just levelled up to around I think level 28 or so by the time I fought her. And then I just used a combo of Master Flurry lightsaber attacks with some Force Storm thrown in for good measure.

I think if you play ANY game more than 20 times the dialogue will start to become an obstacle. But in terms of comparing K1 and K2 (which I presume you are), then I'd say the dialogue was more replayable in K2 than K1.

So...Anyone else finish Malachor V as Mira

Don't recall that. Didn't the Exile came (unexpected, if I listen to Atris before the battles...) to 1) Kill her (Revange, DS) 2) Purify her (LS) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As you land on Telos after the Dantooine Jedi Master "massacre", there is a cutscene between Kreia and Atris that hints at Kreia knowing you're on the way. And then when you fight Atris, her dialogue states that only now she realizes that she was meant as a test for you (the Exile) and that Kreia set it up and is waiting on Malachor. -

Maybe you just worded that wrong, but the first part of your post seems to kind of conflict with your second. You state that you can't see why you would want to play another KOTOR game, but then you say that the first one was great, and the second had promise. Maybe I'm missing your point, but if *I* felt that the first was great and the second had promise, I'd want to play another KOTOR game. I guess I'm just not getting how you don't want to play another KOTOR game, despite the fact that in your own words, both were either great or had the potential to be. Your first sentence, and last sentence are the kind of statement someone would make if they HATED both KOTOR 1 and 2. -

Kreia wanted you to face Atris, and since Kreia went with the Handmaidens, she was likely responsible for making sure the Exile could land. -

Not really. There are various characters in the Star Wars EU that have "learned" Force powers on their own. The only difference is they might not be able to control or harness it all the time or call upon it whenever you need it. -

On a more serious note (me, serious? whuddathunkit), I've beaten KOTOR 1 4 times, but played it to various portions 7 times. KOTOR 2 I've beaten 3 times, but played it to various portsions 5 times. -

I actually think this is not such a bad idea. 1. Romantically: it helps to think the underclass were truly saved, in accordance with their legend / myth 2. Ironically: the underclass outlive the conceited topsiders: the meek inherit the dirt (biblcal reference); and poetic justice (Greek hubris) for the topsiders. 3. Conveniently: old models could be re-used (j/k) the story would help createa link back to the original game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I actually thought about the Outcasts having to do with future KOTOR games. Perhaps one of the Outcasts has Force ability (the protagonist?) and learned of Revan's deeds and thus the game begins in the Outcast village as the Force-strong Outcast learns to use his/her budding powers, eventually circumstances lead to him/her leaving the village and propelled into the story. -

Would the answer "all of them" be helpful? Seriously, if you have the time and the money, play all of them. I know you probably want just one suggestion, but that's not how I operate, so don't try to smother my creativity!

Brejik? Was that on Taris? I never got that far. That Endar Spire level was the toughest I've ever come across in a video game. -
