  1. 90 points in general isn't that impressive. 90 points by an 18 year old? How many 90 point 18 year olds have there been in NHL history? A handful at most. I think he's lived up to his hype. Don't forget that Mario Lemieux got 100 points as a rookie, playing in a much higher scoring generation. That's not to say I think he should win the Calder over Ovechkin. Or that Lundqvist isn't having an outstanding rookie season. But I think Crosby's numbers are VERY impressive for an 18 year old.
  2. This should probably also have been posted in the Spoilers forum. I know the game has been out for a while, but at the same time there is a Spoiler forum for a reason.
  3. I'm not really sure how Crosby can be considered overrated when he's second in rookie scoring and on pace for 90+ points as a 18 year old... But anyways, yes at this point Ovechkin should get the Calder.
  4. That's not the time period the comic is going to be about, nor is the main character associated (as far as we know) with the two KOTOR protagonists.
  5. They (Lucasarts) should have probably planned that from the start. It would have probably made the story flow better.
  6. It's similar, though, in the context about how in games once you know the story how can you play it over and over 100 times since the story doesn't change. Sure there is a slight difference in that you can do little things differently in games that you can't when watching a movie to alter it slightly, but overall the story events still transpire the same way and after a good few play throughs all the various different ways they can occur are known to you, much like the story of a movie will be known to you after watching it.
  7. I ammended my comment to say I am skeptical of games that don't even have a really tentative release date. Even the link you provided is so much more vague. They "hope" to be done coding by the end of the year and then "some months" of polishing and balancing. In other words, they still don't really have a clue when it will be ready for release. From all accounts that I've heard, NWN2 *will* be released Q2 2006. They don't have a definite date, but atleast they have a tentative timeframe. The link you gave me, plus the one I posted, indicates that the Witcher could be anywhere from sometime the end of this year, to sometime the end of 2007 or maybe early 2008. Which is why I'm not skeptical about a game like NWN2, but remain skeptical about the Witcher.
  8. Can you watch your favorite movie over 100 times? I can't do that either.
  9. He's in charge of "canon" decisions, so while KOTOR is a complete work of fiction and everyone does indeed have the right to view Revan as male or female, when you talk canon, Leland's decision DOES matter.
  10. No offense DarkAngle, but I don't think a gaming forum is necessarily the best place to expect constructive critisism on your fan fics. A lot of the people who frequent this forum are actually not even big Star Wars fans, but rather cRPG or Obsidian (BIS) fans and thus have no interest in actually reading about Star Wars. There are a lot of sites for fan fics if you want good feedback. Alas, I don't think this is it. Don't take this post as a shot at you, but rather as explanation for why you're not getting feedback or constructive critisism.
  11. My only point was contrast that with, say, TSL's release schedule. Sure it was "winter 2005", but that was always when then planned to release it, give or take a couple of months (Dec 2005 to Feb 2006). At this point I bet you can't even get that vague of a timetable from the Witcher's developers. If you can, then you certainly have access to more information than the general public. Whereas at this point in the TSL development we were told that the game was set to be released within the Dec 2005 to Feb 2006 timeframe. edit: here's their official FAQ "when will it be released" thread: Click me. That was written in 2004 and they still haven't updated on their site approximately when it will be released. Contrast that to, atleast, the information that Obsidian has released about when abouts the NWN2 release is. Get my point?
  12. You mean like NWN2 or Dragon Age or even Oblivion? NWN2 doesn't even have a website. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The release date for NWN2 (as far as I know) hasn't been switched. It's always been targeted for Q2 2006. I've followed the Witcher and it seems that it's still unknown which Q for 2006 it will be released.
  13. I assumed the original poster was talking about official expansion packs, such as HotU or SoU for NWN.
  14. I'm always skeptical of games that I hear about and then two to three years later it still hasn't been released. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Which is what the Witcher will become in about a year's time if it still hasn't been released.
  15. I don't mind expansion packs as long as the price fits the experience. What I mean by that is simply that if the expansion pack is, say, 1/4 the length of the regular game, then the price should be 1/4 the price of the regular game as well. I have no qualms about paying money for an expansion pack, even if its story and game time is much shorter, as long as I'm not paying full price.
  16. haha aww that's so cute.
  17. Sundin needs to stay in the stands until his eye is 100% (or atleast close to 100%). As it is, he still has a lot of vision trouble from that eye. I'm sorry, but the Leafs will be hard pressed to make the playoffs. I said it in the summer, and it's being proven correct now, John Ferguson Jr. did a poor job of assembling this club in the "new NHL".
  18. I'm always skeptical of games that never seem to have a definite release date.
  19. I enjoyed IWD2 for what it was. I got a little bored with the constant hack n slash, but that was more to do with my own tastes than the game's. I wasn't a big fan of the main antagonists though.
  20. I'm not seeing your jump in logic there. The comic series is set (from what I can tell) a few years before the first KOTOR, so the comic doesn't need any resolution to the story of the games to work or make sense.
  21. Or like looking for Hades not to complain.
  22. If someone sends them that article and tells them they have zero credibility, so what?
  23. I hope someone keeps that IGN article so that if/when what they "predict/believe" doesn't happen, they can mail it to them and say "well? credibility zero!"
  24. That's what always happens to me. I get an idea for a character I want to play, but then I get into the game at some point and lose interest because I've "been there, done that".
