  1. If the SP game was as laggy as it was, could you imagine the multi player online play?
  2. Animation wise, is it really much different? Or are we talking strictly combat? Because I'm not sure if you're adding on to that other guy's posts or just making an unrelated statement about combat.
  3. So then it does get stale.
  4. Your character was a "she"? No wonder she took so long to make up her mind.
  5. I sort of got that part. I meant I don't understand how that would work in the concept of a cRPG. As best I can tell, cRPG combat is based on rolls and stats and numbers. I don't see how your suggestion can be implemented to fit smoothly for a system which, at its core, uses "dice rolls" for each action to determine hit or miss.
  6. You mean like......THE CHOSEN ONE MUST CHOOSE!?!?
  7. I won't argue with that.
  8. You always have to one up my ideas, don't you Gabs.
  9. I guess I'm just not understanding what you actually want then. I know you've tried to describe it, but I'm not getting a mental picture in my head about how what you want can even be accomplished while still keeping the game a RPG at its core.
  10. Yeah but in his scenario (unless I completely misunderstand him) he's saying that the fights should be more fluid, as in fight until one dies with NO control until one guy is dead. As it is, you can let your PC attack 2 times, then run away to either regroup or use a medpac.
  11. So you want what? Final fantasy style turn based? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't see how what you suggest could be implemented without either a)turning it into a action button smasher or b)making the player sit there and watch a cinematic of the PC and enemy fighting until one happens to fall dead.
  12. No. At least for me that's a big no. I wasn't a big fan of Fable's "watch your character grow up from a child" thing, so I wouldn't want to see it in KOTOR 3 either. I also want to play as an adult PC, not some kid.
  13. Then wouldn't it be better to just close the topic altogether? There's not much more discussion this specific topic can garner, especially when a developer (or someone associated with Obsidian) already answered the "was it worth it?" question.
  14. Or just lower the amount of XP you gain by defeating such "minor" enemies.
  15. It was destroyed. Don't forget it's 5 years later. Also don't forget that a planetary bombardment doesn't mean that every single structure and every single brick would be obliterated.
  16. Admittedly that's the one thing I've never even attempted. An unarmed character.
  17. There's a Mac version of KOTOR I, but I haven't seen a Mac version for KOTOR II.
  18. I can't remember now, but I think the axe was one of my most used weapons.
  19. I did that too my first play through. I figured that stupid shaman talking to me and telling me to hurry up was a sign that I should go through quickly, but then I found out it didn't matter how fast I did things. So after that I basically did all the other areas before even bothering with the main quest. I didn't like the shaman anyway. He deserved to die for not giving me more roots for free.
  20. And if you're obsessed with graphics (not saying you are, not saying you aren't) then it might take a bit of getting used to to play especially BG.
  21. I should give the expansions another run through to get me in the mood for NWN2. I wasn't a big fan of the new modules so far.
  22. Meh. I always figured it made best business sense to stick with what you know best. For instance, Obsidian has been involved in (in various incarnations) the RPG genre for years and is quite successful at it. But I wouldn't exactly think they'd take that success and give it a try making a sports game.
  23. You basically have to bring those guys in your party more often. I guess that's where the "replay value" is in using different party members each time through so you learn about them completely.
  24. Aren't they known for their RTS games? Why would a developer who specializes in one genre of games move to another?
