Thanks for the Patch!
That is why you need to find a right combination of publisher and developer to get a properly made and properly maintained and supported game.

Kotor 2 compared to Kotor 1
Well, both games are tremendously easy so I think it is the fault of the game rules itself and nothing else.

Kotor 2 compared to Kotor 1
I don't see KotORs as being 4000 years in the past. I see them as parallel/alternate Star Wars universe where things evolved on a different path than the movies. As anyone read the Star Wars: Infinities comic book line? In one they had Leia turn to the dark side and was Vader's apprentice and Luke failed to destroy the Death Star in ANH. It was a fairly interesting read. Especially how Han and Yoda got along.

Request- Standalone patch release
Well, if they follow the Bioware model then they should be able to do it either through the updater or be able to download the critical build patch.

TSL Restoration Project: Work in Progress
A reasonable request. Oh Aurora, if you need any additional help just PM me. I can only do 2da stuff right now, but I just thought to offer. Keep it up!

Favorite Anthology Horror/Sci-fi Television Show?
There was a film shot in Esperanto? Speaking of Shatner, I thought it was pretty damn funny about that fake movie shoot he had here in Iowa. Man, so many people were pissed.

I just finished Icewind Dale!!!
The way I see it it was Interplay who betrayed Bioware for not giving them their money when it was due. As for Jade Empire, that responsibility is Microsoft and Bioware, not **** and Bioware.

Poll - Obsidian's Next PnP to CRPG Project
A Stargate CRPG isn't that far fetch. There is a d20 System Stargate PnP RPG based on the television series.

KOTOR 2 TARIS GLITCH (INFINITE LOOP)
Gotta love the small victories.
-
Thanks for the Patch!
Developers make the game and its the Publisher's job to support it. If KotOR 2 isn't properly supported I blame LA, not Obsidian. As for the initial quality of the game, I blame Obsidian, not LA.

KOTOR 2 TARIS GLITCH (INFINITE LOOP)
Wrong forum and you are on Taris in KotOR 2?!?!?!

I just finished Icewind Dale!!!
Thats what I meant. Without the initial license use the Infinity engine would have been used in a RTS.

TSL Restoration Project: Work in Progress
Well, here is hoping that if Aurora and her team needs help with something that Obsidian gives it, even if it is unofficial. :D

I just finished Icewind Dale!!!
Interplay did give them the DnD license which they didn't have.

Kill Visceris
That was the probelm, Volourn. I wasn't being myself. I was being "Viceris." Visceris became this net persona I always seemed to adopt when I go to the forums and has caused more problems than anything else. I am quite different in the real world and it is time that my real self gets some net time and Visceris gets the axe. And yes, Volourn, I was think of you.

Kill Visceris
I was considering HarveyPostBanger for the nick but that just sounded too wrong.

Poll - Obsidian's Next PnP to CRPG Project
Quick rundown for the uninformed of those games I know about and isn't obvious: Shadowrun: Shadowrun is a cyberpunk genre PnP role playing game originally written by FASA. When FASA went under it was then picked up by WizKidz. Basically take the works of William Gibson and add in trolls, elves, dwarves, and magic. Palladium: Palladium is rules system that spawned off quite a number of spinoff rle playing games. From RIFTS to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles RPG. At its base it is a fantasy role plying game, but has a more of a darker feel to it. It is closer to Elric of Melbourne than Drizzt of Icewind Dale. GURPS: General Universal Role Playing System: It is a very generalized skill based/point based role playing game. There are dozens of supplements for it and can be used for any genre that one can conceive. Vampire: The Requiem: The World of Darkness is basically gothic style horror set in the modern world. For the basic rundown read Anne Rice novels and you get the basic idea. Traveller: A hard science fiction role playing game set in a Space Opera style. If I remember correctly you could get your character killed during creation. Role Master: Ah, Role Master, or has my friends and I call it, Roll Master. Generally it is a fantasy based rules system that it takes about 10 hours to fully flesh out a character and 2 minutes to kill. Plagued by very complex combat charts and endless charts of critical hit tables. You never want to take a Void E critical underwater for it will then require you to take a Ice B critical soon after. And if you survive that then you still take a Impact Blunt D critical.

I just finished Icewind Dale!!!
J.E., in my ever so humble opinion, I think you are right on the money.

I just finished Icewind Dale!!!
It is both the developers and the publishers responsibility for their game. Whose fault Troika folded? They are but Atari, Vivendi, and Activision each had a hand in their failure. Whose responsible for the condition of KotOR 2, both Obsidian and Lucas Arts. Who is responsible for Bioware's success? They are in conjuction of their various publishers. It takes two to tango except in cases that the developer is also the publisher, plain and simple.
