If I was Obsidian handling this situation I would first off remove the "soon" aspect of the patch release information. I would also get on the case of LucasArts and see what is up and if there was any problems. After the patch is released I would wash my hands of LucasArts and never do business with them again, no matter how much money they would throw at me. If I was lucasArts I would be very much forthcoming with information about the status of the patch and give weekly updates. I would also release information on what it would be fixing as well. I would make the patch a priority number 1, especially with a high profile game as KotOR 2 is. I would then commission Obsidian to do a content patch to finish the game.

I won't buy a X-Box but to be honest the specs of the X-Box 2 is mighty impressive. I might buy that and if the X-Box 2 can play X-Box 1 games, I will more than likely get JE. At least renting it.

I have to say combat was the primary weakness of PS:T but then combat was pretty weak over all with all the Infinity Engine games so I put that as an engine weakness. Every game has its weaknesses and PS:T is no different. I admit it is one of my favorite games of all time, second only to Fallout 1, but as I said before there is no such thing as a perfect game.

I haven't even touched NWN in over 6 months. Been playing older, better games like BG 1 and Fallout.

Well, Lucas Arts is the one holding up the patch, not Obsidian. Their part of the patch is done and they can't release it without LucasArts' permission. If you think that the patch is taking to long, complain to LucasArts and not Obsidian. Obsidian has done their contractual duty to LucasArts and they wanted to do more but LucasArts said no. LucasArts, it looks like, to support KotOR 2 no more than this one patch and even then it is sketchy. I hope Obsidian never deals with LucasArts ever again, for it seems they are a bunch of unreasonable jerks that don't give a crap about supporting their games. Just remember, it is the developer's responsibility to make the game. It is the publisher's responsibility to support the game. Obsidian did their best for the time they had. LucasArts is the one failing now.

I am not worried about NWN 2. Atari has given Obsidian a much more reasonable development time for the game than what LucasArts gave them.

For certain things I would like to see free healthcare, free education for the first 2 years of college, and free utilities (water, electricity, and such) for all. Would that mean higher taxes, hell yeah, but you won't have to worry about the basics and all young people will have a good start in finding what they want to do with the rest of their lives.

I am pretty much a liberal. My moral values are quite simple. If what you are doing isn't harming someone else or you have consent, then anything goes. Plain, simple, and straight forward. I believe God exists, but I hate the bugger. I have very many many reasons. Also, the majority of the terrorist problems that are in the Middle East were caused by the US government by not knowing when to stop interfering with other countries. After all, who trained Osama Bin Ladin? We did. Who gave support to Saddam Hussein during his rise in power? We did. Who gave land to the Jews even though it wasn't our place to? Well, we share that responsibility with Great Britain. Anyway you see my point.
