  1. Depending on where you are from, the game is cheaper on GoG.
  2. Thanks a lot for all this work. Know that it's greatly appreciated. I'm in for a new run through Kotor 2.
  3. With all the work done on BG Trilogy, I don't see a lot of improvement that would convince me to buy this BGEE at full price.
  4. I played it this year and don't remember having a lot of issues running it on Win 7 64 bits.
  5. Prepare yourself spending a lot of hours into this game. It's really addicting.
  6. Nothing so far. I don't like action games and it seems there are only action games or games I already own.
  7. I'm playing Icewind dale 2. I've never played it before and find the game pretty fun. I have a preety balanced good party of five characters. Nothing exceptional in the party, but it's for discovering the game.
  8. I've just finished exactly that. It took me a hell of time. For CK2, an less overwhelming beginning would be a duchy in the HRE.
  9. That's the way I feel about it too. Seriously, there might be such thing as too many options. If it's your first Paradox grand strategy game, this feeling is natural. But you will get used to it quickly. In the end, there are not so many things to manage when you know a bit more the game. If you feel overwhelmed, try playing a small county in a peaceful region (like inside an empire).
  10. At least Germany. I remember PAradox had to put an Iron cross instead of it for Hearts of Iron because the game cover was banned in Germany.
  11. I've put some money since the first days in the project. So I already got the numerous updates by email.
  12. I'm not a lot into shooters, but E.Y.E. is pretty fun. A bit too hard for me, but there are sufficent rpg elements to give me entertainment (some story and different way to play the game depending on cyber/psi development, a deus ex touch).
  13. A fun tactical turn based and party based RPG, Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land. It's based on the Chaosium system and seems ok for a very low price : 4
  14. I think personnaly that EU2 is better than EU3, whatever the number of expansions or mods. I don't know why, maybe because I've first played EU, then EU2 and when time came for EU3, the game wasn't that different and at the same time, lost most of the historical appeal to it : like non historical monarchs, leaders and events.
  15. As a big sum up, I would say : There are several ways to win a game, each one with its own focus. You should quickly decide which goal you set for your civilization (depending on the choice you made, the size of the world and your surrounding) and avoid too much dispersion from it. Since there are many eras, you also have to decide how you will develop in accordance with the era. So look at the technology and military unit trees and try to find your development order.
  16. There is a freeciv on Linux too, I think.
  17. Maybe it's due to your build. Aren't there some defensive builds that are less efficient on one on one fights but better against groups ? Edit : All in all, I'm more interested on how you find the storytelling than the combat. I never really like combats in games.
  18. I don't trust reviewers and with what I've heard about GoT, I've preordered it. I know the fights and controls will be painless and certainly repetitive, but I don't care. Most of the RPG I love have a somewhat mediocre gameplay but a good story.
  19. Voodoo is fun and well integrated as a possible way to solve situations via voodoo dolls. But it's not really impressive in combat as far as I can imagine. The DLC is quite integrated to the story : after some discussions with Patty, you get the quest to find clues for the Blackbeard treasure. The clues are scattered all over the different islands and the conclusion of the quest takes place on a seperate island.
  20. I've tried the demo of Warlock: Master of the Arcane and found the game quite pleasant. I've thus bought the preorder at gamersgate. I've also finished Risen 2 which was quite good and avoided a last chapter as awful as in Risen 1.They also have improved their storytelling skills in PB.
  21. I will try the demo. I'm downloading it.
  22. Almost finished the second island on natives side. So far, the story is ok. But why did they have to add some QTEs ? I hate QTEs. Treasure chests and temples are the main sources of gold.
  23. Gamebanshee or Canard PC (but the last is in french).
