  1. The first half of season 1 Deathnote was TOTALLY SWEET AND AWESOME. The second half was a bit of a train-wreck but overall the first season was still very solid.
  2. SG-1 > Atlantis; Firefly > Atlantis; BS:G > Atlantis; Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles > Atlantis; Case dismissed.
  3. ^^ Jags: Aw sweet! I can now pwn with teh M16!1 Kor: Yeah, well my G36C with pwn yu0!1 Nick: K, shutup or I'll pr4wn yu0 both. Jags & Kor: Touche. *game starts* Nick: Let's own these fools! Kor: I'm guarding C yo! Llyr: K everyone, guard B: Teamwork people, teamwork! *Llyr runs off by himself* Kor: WTF? *Kor gets killed by grenade* Laozi: So we're playing Halo right?
  4. Nick and Krooks turned on the style as usual. Kor did surprisingly well. Llyr on the otherhand had a somewhat below par performance. What's going on? I'll check out those demos as well.
  5. Hurry up Pueblos! A man can only do so much CoDing by himself! *waits patiently in CoD4 lobby*
  6. @ Barracuda: I offer to lend you my services and "take care" of this Nightguy for you. In return I expect a total conversion of FO1 and FO2 using your bling-bling FIFE engine. If your response is a favorable one, contact my representative through the usual channels, and mention "The weakest gang in New Reno", to which the response should be "are the Wrights". *hides in shadows*
  7. When are you logging one for CoD4 today, Krooks?
  8. Yeah, yeah, we'll see about that later today. Remember kids - 2 n00bs can still outnumber 1 pro!
  9. Kor and yours truly are now level 55 in CoD4 and from now would like to be referred to as Commander.
  10. I see you level 55 Commander Kor!

  11. I'm in the CoD4 lobby waiting for Kor and Krook to show up.
  12. Okay, I need some help from you Gothic aficionados. I just picked up Gothic Universe (box set of G1, G2, G3, + expansion) and finished installing G1. Upon discovering my horrific fps of 22, I did some googling and heard that it's locked at 22 fps not matter what settings you have it on. And sure enough even when I upped the res and settings, the fps stayed exactly the same. Now is there anyway to disable the lock or workaround this inhumane frame limiter?
  13. Ah, there's nothing like buying a flightstick for over $100 bucks and having it SNAP in the first 5 minutes! Way to go Saitek. Thank God I kept my receipt for once. Take me back Logitech! She didn't mean anything - honest! You know you're the only Wingman for me!
  14. Get the frack out of here - are you frackin' kidding me?
  15. @Kor: Okay! @Llyr: Yeah, X3 is more like an economy simulator in space, rather than a space sim. Now I'm indifferent as to whether the physics should be Arcade style or Newtonian as long as they're executed well and/or give you the option to switch between the two ala I-War. Now my preference is for space combat AND trading simulators (I-War series, Privateer series, Freelancer) but I'll even take just space combat simulators (Freespace series, Wing Commander series, X-Wing series, Starlancer). But if it's gonna be just an economy simulation like the X series, then no thanks.
  16. The best Space Sims are really Space Sims Light, as they're more action-rpgs in space rather than simulations. But that ends up being a good thing thanks to their quality. Freelancer, Descent: Freespace, Freespace 2, X-Wing/Tie Fighter/X-Wing v. Tie Figher/X-Wing Alliance, Tachyon: The Fringe, Privateer 2 were all great space games that used purely arcade physics or arcade physics with pseudo-realistic elements. I've never particularly enjoyed actual simulation based sims like the X series or EVE-online (but's that mostly because they're exercises in tedium more than anything). The only space sims I've liked that have used Newtonian physics are Independence War 1 & 2, and even then the controls were awful.
  17. Yeah, Kor makes a great side...uh, partner. Also, that level was INSANE. There was like 20 people playing on 15m x 15m map!
  18. Let's go Kor!
  19. I hated Dungeon Siege. I hated Space Hack too, and Space Siege sounds a lot like that as well. The cheeky bastards should stop trying to pollute space with crappy hack-n-slashers, and use it for what's it's meant for...Space Sims!* *now with RPG elements.
  20. I've been meaning to pick NHL 08 for some time now, as Kor knows. Stupid CA game stores don't like hockey.
  21. You can download most of those games from live, Hades. I'm starting to think you don't like us with all those invite rejections.
  22. Sorry Kyle. But I might see you tomorrow. And nice job with the zombie killing, Alvin.
  23. You did pretty well considering you had to rely on Kor's stoner ramblings.
  24. Just finished an epic session of CoD4, (Carcasonne which I missed *shakes fist*), TMNT, Aegis Wing, & Halo 3 with Llr, Nick & Kor. It was awesome.
  25. Hey, if you morons like fighting games, get Virtua Fighter 5, it's supposedly the best 3D fighter in years. I don't usually play the genre, but the game is pretty awesome. If you meant beat-em-ups, XBLA has at least a decent selection from old arcade/console titles. I agree with space games. There needs to be a space sim (that uses the Ace Combat 6 flightstick). Maybe if Lucasarts wasn't a steaming pile of Hades nowadays, we'd get something. Or a mech sim. Like Steel Battalion 2 ^___^ We need to play more NHL 2008 co-op. If you guys like board games, you should try Catan (XBLA). I have the real board version, and it's pretty nice (economy/trading-based). If it doesn't turn out to be the free game, it might be something worth getting, if we're all willing to invest in it. Also, try the Culdcept Saga (will be a budget-priced retail game - not XBLA). It's a mix of Monopoly and M:TG (or whatever other card game). It's awesome. You guys should also try Puzzle Quest (XBLA). It's a mix of Hexic with RPG elements, and it works masterfully. Arguably one of the best games last year. There's also 1v1 online. I don't have it since I already have the DS version, but Nick has it. The beauty of Live is that you can just simply try the demos of all these games. Awesome. I'll seriously look out for those, Llyr. Still, a pity's there's no excuse to wipe off the 3" layer of industrial dust currently residing upon my flightstick. Thanks again Lucas Arts.
