  1. Nope. The only resolution available to me is 800x600. I've tried forcing 1280x720, detecting hardware... you name it. Nothing works to get it into a higher resolution. My current thoughts: piece of crap video interface they built into the game. Is it the fact I'm using an ATI video card? Is it the fact I'm using a DVI cable instead of a 15-Pin? Hell if I know, all I know is the game looks like crap - it's pixely and stretched. It would be one thing if it actually used what resolution you put into the .ini, but it isn't. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The fact that you are using an ATi-card has nothing to do with it. I'm using one too and have plenty of resolution-options available to me. I don't think that using a DVi-Cable should have anything to do with it all, either but considering how computers like to function everything is possible. If you have the chance, try using the "regular" 15-pin cable or a regular monitor and see if you still have the same problems.
  2. I'd really like to know how you got yours to do this, as mine refuses every time I try. Here's what I'm using for hardware: - Samsung 61" DLP Monitor (supports 1280x720) - Radeon x800 XT Video Card - DVI Cable for Card-to-Monitor display - ATI Driver version 6.14.10.6525 (Catalyst 5.4) No matter *what* resolution I put in the ini, it always reverts the game resolution when playing to 800x600. The setup program for Kotor2 also only reports 800x600 as being available. And believe me, 800x600 on this size display sucks! It's kinda sad that today's latest games don't have support for the widescreen displays. Would really appreciate anyone who could assist me in getting this fixed. <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Can't you change it under Graphic Options in the game, then? I have by default Widescreen-resolutions available without any tweaking needed to be done.
  3. Right click on the link and choose "Copy Link Location" if you are using FireFox/Mozilla. There is something similar in IE I believe. Then open a new tab/browser field and paste the Url into the adress-bar and hit enter. It should work. Or just highlight it and press CTRL+C to copy. Then open a new tab/browser window and go to the adress bar and hit CTRL+V to paste it in. Then hit enter and that's it. You should have downloaded the file or at least be prompted (if you are using IE) where you want to download it. EDIT: If that does not work go here: http://www.angeltowns2.com/members/invoker/Other and locate "texpacks.zip" and download it then. My webhosting is a bit anal about hotlinking and I'm looking into changing it soon.
  4. Alright peeps. http://www.angeltowns2.com/members/invoker...er/texpacks.zip That's the link for the file which will (or not) boost the overall performance of your gameplay. If it doesn't work when you click on it. Copy the link and open it in a new window. I have done extensive testing with and without it and for me it does improve the gameplay. My test-rig: Intel Pentium 4 s478 2.8Ghz Northwood -C 800Mhz FSB 512kb L2Cache TwinMOS TwiSteR 2x512 DDR SDRAM sticks CAS 2.0 ABIT Ai7 Motherboard with latest Bios. WinXP Pro Corporate with SP2 HIS Excalibur Radeon 9800 Pro ICE-Q (overlocked to XT-speeds) 1024x768 High Res Texture packs and settings With tweak: 2005-04-17 07:30:33 - swkotor2 Avg: 45.276 - Min: 17 - Max: 172 Without tweak: 2005-04-17 08:45:25 - swkotor2 Avg: 28.946 - Min: 15 - Max: 141 I gained a great increase in performance when using the tweak. The usual slowdown when you play T3 and go (roll?) to the console right before he is shot with an Ion Blast was gone. For me, this worked great.
  5. It says: Restricted to 100% Dark and yet your character is not even a Dark Sider. How can you wield that weapon at all? And I think that weapon is a bit overkill. How fun is it to walk through the game killing everyone and everything in like one blow?
  6. 49-150?! Holy Shiznit, mate. How is that damage range even remotely possible?
  7. Also, nVIDIA's cards require more juice than ATi's cards. As for the XBox2 I have heard rumours that the ATi X800 Pro 256 will be the standard GFx-card for it. If it is true or not, I do not know. If it is, then the Xbox2 will be r0xx0ring my b0xx0rs *cough*
  8. And you forgot that I forgot Hanharr's roar, so that makes us even. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Indeed it does
  9. You forgot T3: "Beep Boop. Brank Dee-deet."
  10. *Force Persuade: Successful!* "I shall not publish my email in a forum!"
  11. Then send it over and I'll host it.
  12. How large is this file? If it isn't too big, I might host it for you people. Just send me a pm or email.
  13. It's really unnecessary to reach Level 50. Everything after Level 30 gets so easy and unbalanced it's almost no fun. Also, at Level 33 your Personal Crystal gets its final Upgrade so I only do the Korriban Cave glitch till I reach that level and then pretty much ignore every bonus mission there is.
  14. I think you need some demolitions skill to use those packs. If all else fails, restart and bring Bao-Dur with you. He knows the corporate override code for the Perimeter Sensor and then you can just send some party member with Stealth up to it and turn it off.
  15. Gah! This was a bad time for me to see that the patch has been released. I'm dead tired and was just about to head off to bed. Now I have to start up a new game and see what has been added / fixed. A pox on ye!
  16. Etrom = Morte = Planescape: Torment.
  17. When the Mod comes out, it will not put LA in a good light, I reckon'. Mmmhmm. *cough*
  18. NWN is a whole another story, since modding is endorsed by Bioware themselves. Star Wars and TSL is the intellectual property of Lucasarts and they allow NO modding whatsoever, even if it would enhance the storyline. Even if it would make them look like selfish morons in the general gamers eyes, they have the lawful right to do so. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> True, but IF Lucasarts would go to such lengths to close down Auroras project. There will literally be hell to pay. I doubt fans and modders will allow it to happen. I know I won't. I'm not saying they will but stranger things have happened...
  19. Edwin and Korgan are the two only NPC's I find funny and interesting in BG2. In ToB I bring along Sarevok mostly because he's such a kickass fighter and his stats are divine. "My name is Edwin Odesseiron but you simians may simply refer to me as sir, if you prefer a less syllable intensive workout." or "Ye-e-es master, what should I fetch now?" and the classic: "Edwin do this, Edwin do that. Someone give this monkey a banana!"
  20. It's Dantooine for me that's so bugged out it ain't even funny. The rest works like a charm with a small exception of Citadel Station where it has suddenly started to lag a bit.
  21. If they have any sense left in their skulls they'll leave it be. It would be disaster if they told Aurora to stop. It would be like telling all the modders in the NWN and BG-community that they are going to be fined for making a mod which enhances gameplay.
  22. Ps:T beats every RPG out on the market, imho. It has a certain atmosphere few games have been able to re-create. I think I'll go and dig up the CD's once more and go through it again. Just for old times sake
  23. Burnout 3: Takedown on XBox :D
  24. Sounds like fun... for those still playing NWN. I kinda gave up on that game. Too many trolls, lamers and newbies online. Also, after playing through the story umpteenth times it gets a bit dreary.
