Exactly :D

I hope there is more control in KOTOR2 when it comes to creating your character.

That makes a lot of sense, thanks for clearing that up. Sorry if it sounds like we are all complaining, we really loved the first game. I suppose we just don't want to see it messed up with excessive cut scenes like FF, or some of the other "videogame/ movies". I understand now why we can't skip the cutscenes, and if it messes up the game to skip them make them the same as in KOTOR1. :D
-
Are you serious?! Do you know how hard it was to kill Malak at level 20? If you make the level cap at 8 or 10 the game will just become frustrating. <_<

I agree, bioware did a great job with the cut scenes. They flowed with the game, and they didn't feel like cut scenes since they were done in engine. Also they didn't take away from the game engine graphics by showing you this beautiful cutscene then going back to the game with lower level graphics.

Didn't Mark do the voice for Luke in Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy?

I'll probably play the LS first and the DS second when I get the game. :D

You can't have more then one apprentice. The code forbids it....besides it would be impossible to have more then one apprentice...it's just too difficult. -
Will characters in the game react to your character in different ways depending on if you are on the light or dark side? I always found it kind of stupid when my face was pale blue, I had veins all over my face, I was all in black, and I had a red saber and everyone still called me Master Jedi and thought I was a good guy. Also when I went through the game on the light side, everyone on Korriban thought I was a Sith.

Did the Sith Empire still exist after Exan Kun?
Quiquag replied to Ivan the Terrible's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
That makes sense that there was a small existing part of the Sith empire after Exan Kun. The Sith always manage to stay around in some small way, as seen in the movies and other SW games. I don't think the Sith have ever been completely extinct, there is always a dark side. -
thank you for explaining that to these people. last time i watched the lord of the rings, i dont remember the dwarf telling the elf that he loves him :D I agree, the romance relationship in the game wasn't nearly as fun as some of the other relationships. I much prefered talking to Joele over Bastilla. Talking to Bastilla was like talking to a nagging girlfriend, but Joele was actually funny to talk with. I hope KOTOR has more LOTR type of relationships, and less "romances". I think the only people really hard pressed for the "romances" are the gamers with out girlfriends in reality...not to insult you...thats just what I think.

Part 1: Jedi or Pathological Killer?
Quiquag replied to Maria Caliban's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
There are a lot of instances in KOTOR where you are rewarded with more XP if you don't fight. One instance is in the grove with Juhani, if you fight and kill her you get 35 XP but if you turn her to the light side you get like 1200. Another example is in the shadow lands. If you kill Freyer you get less XP then if you side with him, and go to the wookie tree house to talk. -
Perhaps there can be a level cap, but it should be done in such a way that there appears to be no level cap. Once you reach level 30 or 35 it will be so difficult to level up that it will take you hours.

Cutscenes are fine if you can skip over them. There is nothing worse then dying and having to watch some stupid cutscene two or three times.
-
Wrong. You can't just tell me Im wrong, I have valid points.

I think some people here are taking the concept of a Jedi way to serious. The concept that a Jedi is more powerful then any bounty hunter or smuggler is well established. However people play RPGs for their escape factor from reality...A lot of people want to be Jedi, and such a game delivers this fantasy. Perhaps Jedis are powerful, but thats part of the fun of the game. Don't argue about how "realistic" it is to have a Jedi PC....its a game, and Jedi arent real. The whole point of the game is just to have fun and escape reality once in a while.

That's 'I'll' 'dumbass'. Well then, I gues all be on my way. ^_^ LOL Some people make me laugh....man I love Englilsh

The level cap in the first game took away something from the game. Most of the fun of an RPG is leveling up your character and making your character grow. When you put a level on how much your character can grow it subtracts from the fun of building a character. Level caps end the customization of a character, which takes away from the fun of the player.
-
Also this game isn't using the D20 system. The developers are either going to make the level cap much higher then 20 or not place one at all. The prestige classes have not been confirmed as of yet for non jedi classes, however bounty hunter sounds like a good one if they do exist.
-
Because the game is called KNIGHTS of the Old Republic perhaps? Being a Jedi is the entire reason for the game. Otherwise, there's a game out there called Bounty Hunter, if that's more your thing Its kind of stupid how some people don't want to be Jedi. With out lightsabers, the force, and robes its not really Star Wars....Why would you want to play a Star Wars game called Knights of the Old Republic when your character is a bounty hunter? If you just want a bounty hunter game go buy a FPS, or STAR WARS BOUNTY HUNTER!!!

You can't use a control pad of some kind?

Thats a horrible idea...Im not sure what the music is that you suggest, but Im sure it's crap if it's not classical music.
