Huh? if the war was about oil surely they had looked in the wells first thing.
-
Except the one I had with you, Karzak.
-
Much better. My faith in you is restored.
-
Obviously you weren't paying attention.
-
"I have no idea why they are included in these games." And, here I was thinking you were one of the smart ones.
-
Nonsense. before the war he gave a good dozen reasons why they shoiuld go to war with iraq. WMDs was *just* one reason. Couple of other examples were that Saddam was a threat, Saddam was a vicious dictator, he broke multiple UN soloutions, etc., etc. If anything, Bush gave too many reasons for war.
-
You are too used to it so just didn;t notice.
-
Exactly. So, what's the 'argument" about then? <_<

She wasn't murdered. It was a drug overdose. Her boyfirend, Lex Luger had been charged with various drug offenses; but it wasn't murder. And, other than the fact they are wrestlers who used to work at the WWF; it has nothing to do with the stories shown on WWF tv. On top of that, when this story first broke last year I beleive the only mention of it on WWF tv was a short message at the beginning of Raw stating how sad theyw ere she died and that they'll miss her. So, once again, what does that have to do with WWF and their stories?
-
Yeah,w restling is the onyl community that has scumbags involved it. Besdies, what "murder" ae you talking about? I know wrestling has problems with drug overdoes; but I have yet to hear about many actual murders taking place. Plus. that's irrelevant to watching wrestling on tv as that is very much just stories. So whichw restler murdered which wrestler? And, please don't let it be some 20th rate unknown wrestler.
-
"The murder was done in RL and not in the ring, Volourn" No, Hades, wrestling has never had a story where somoen has murdered in RL. That's impossible, cosndieirng the storylines are just that storylines. When a wrestler beats up anothe wrestler it is story. When a wrestler "murders" another one it is story. When a wrestler steals another's girl it is a storyline. Don't get me wrong, manyw restling stories are stupid (many of them indeed); but that's what they are simple stories. Wrestling stories though are more character driven than most stories as usually the actaul subject matter is pretty silly; but its the characters that make even the lamest of stories possibly work.
-
Come on, people. It seems you still treat wrestling like it's real. theya re actors like in any tv show. If you don't like the stories or the characters; that's oen thing; but to make it sound like they'r eevil because they do stuff like murder or have 'special' characters is just so childish and whining. In fact, the "retarded" wrestler they have as been pushed as somone to be proud of as he works hard, tries his best, and while he gets taken advantage of at times; he somehow squeeks out. In essence, he's a non clasic classic hero. Aweosme stuff. It's not about making fun of retards' either. Lameo.

Not to mention people forget that despite the stereotype; Amerika is more than just white European people. It encompasses many different races, culttures, religions, and creeds. There are too much differences in Amerika to seriosuly be able of stereotyping its citizens.
-
Please, Nur. If anyone is being 'overly emotional' it is use. Just look at the words you use. Besdies, you say Amerikans are bigots; but that would describe you.
-
I don't think they lied. I think they tried to accomplish that goal; and didn't quite make it. That's completely different than lying. Did they hype it? Sure. But they ddin't lie. of course, there are those who feel the OC is better than the Bgs eries. i dsiagree; but more power to them. LOL
-
1. It's not rally about picking and choosing. As powerfula s the US is or people think it is; it is not powerful enough to take on every low end dicattor in the world. It's an impossible task. Heck, the troubles in both Iraq and Afghanistan illustrate this. You punish what criminals you can. Youa ren't so niave to think every commonc riminal is pursued heavily and ultimately brought to justice right? i'm sure you know of 'unsolved cases'/ 2. From your own link: "The poll shows that most continue to say the hardships suffered to depose Saddam Hussein were worth it. Half say they and their families are better off than they were under Saddam. And a strong majority say they are more free to worship and to speak. " Seems to me Iraqis, by and alrge, are better off without Saddam and acknowledge that. True, they want the Amerikans to leave. Guess what/ i don't blame them. Nobody likes armed people marching down the street poitning guns at them and barking orders. Of course, if you read closer much of the negative response towards the soldiers, most of it is from 2nd hand sources or media not persoanlly experienced (which is just 7%). Bottom line here, is while the Iraqis aren't happy with the US they are glad Hussein is good. Mission accomplished. 3. Doing the right thing is never futile. I don't care if that makes me 'naive'. It be ncie if the US (and/or other countries) could sweep in and save the day in every troubled spot but we both know that's impossible. Doesn't mean we thow our hands in the air and surrender. I don't consider it throwing Amerikan lives away and I doubt most soldiers feel that way. It's a noble cause they are fighting for (despite the dark side of the BA); and that makes it worthwhile.
-
Nur, have you looked in the mirror lately?
-
Because, common sense dictates you can't remove every dictator. just like you can't punish every criminal. That doesn't mean you shouldn't do soemthing when you can. And, no, the accomplishments do outweigh the losses in the case. Short term instability in Iraq is better than the long term mass murder of Saddam Hussein's regime. Iraq is on a slow (yes painful) prcoess. It may fial ultimately; but that's doubtful and it's easily worth it. Also, in spite of how dissapointed Iraqis are in the way the US has handled certain things, overall they seemingly feel (I say seemingly 'cause as an outsider I'm not gonna pretend to know what the masses of Iraqis think) they are better off with Saddam. The world is also better off without Saddam. Is it awful that nearly 1k Amerikan soldiers have died? Yes. Untold Iraqis have died? Yes. Everyone else who has sacrificed themsleves for the cause? Yes. But cosneieirng that Hussein';s regime had slaughter 100s of tousands of Iraqs + basically terrorized most of the rest; it's a price that has to be cosndiered worth it by any real humanitarian. Or should the world have continued igoring the horrid state of Iraq? And, yes, the US and the rest of the Coalition are just as guilty as the rest are with doing that.
-
BIo didn't lie about NWN. It is ture, theyt ry to please everyone and that is a weakness; but to imply they flat out lied is pretty silly. The OC (and NWN as a whole) didn't accomplish everything theys et out to do; but it wans't some deliberate cover up of its weaknesses and wasn't like they purposely sabatoged anything. At least, it's hard toa ccuse them of sucha thing when there is absolutely no evidence that they lied.
-
The Iraq war wasn't a failure. it accomplished its mission - to remove Saddam from power. It was always about that simple little fact. Oil, WMD, humanitarian reasons, etc., etc., were alle xtras gone for the ride. I, for one, don't think any war that successfully removes a tyrant of Saddam's stature from power and pushes a country on the road to democracy (which will always have bumps on the road) is a failure. Period.

Hades: So, 75% is the rating you give the "worst game ever"? Whatever. Karzak: No, if someone criticizes them justly I agree with them. Like i said, don't exaggerate or whine so much and I wouldn't have to disagree. there's a lot about BIO gamnes that can be criticized with good reason. no need to make things up.
-
Ahh, but Karzak, your definition of fanboy is someone who cares; you so obviously care about BIo as they seem to be mostly what you talk about. Face it, you are a fanboy and are upset and in a jealous rage because BIO doesn't fall to your little whims yous trike out in pain over the betrayal. R00fles!
-
"A non fanboy wouldn't care," You obviously care so that apparantly makes you a fanboy. LOL :D I guess we'rw also Troika fanboys because we 'defend' them as well. LOL
-
Ha. "Since when do fanboys rate games 75%, trash an expansion, bash many aspects of another game". The reason why I "jump in and defend BIO' is because certain people eitehr attack them for the wrong reasons (ooo they betray me ebcause they made a console game lol), or exaggerate (NWN is the worst game ever). If that wouldn't occur I wouldn't need to. Of course, it's much easier for you to ignore my criticism of BIO as that would null and void your silly yet humourous accusations. Keep up the good work.
