"And if it does suck, it's not the end of the world. It's just a game" Of course. I didn't flatly say another company sucked. I said their games sucked. Another not so subtle difference. Here's my quotes again: "to say Bethesda games sucks" "Every game I've played either if I bought them myself or through friends have been crap yet" Sadly, the below part of my post does warrant me being admonished for brekaing forum rules. I'll make sure to be more careful in the future. Next time, I'll leave the 'I've learn they suck' put of that sentence... "I've learn they suck by experiencing their trash."

No speciifc place; but I'll know when I see them.

"It's interesting how you claim me to be a Bethesda fanboy just because I don't break the forum rules and troll about other game companies" I'm not trolling about Bethesda. I'm stating my opinion on Bethesda. There's a not so subtle difference. "That means that there's a chance it can be a much better game than Morrowind." There's also a chance it'll be worse. I do know that I'm not giving them the benefit of the doubt in this case.

Good graphics. (espicially like the castle scenes). Horrible voice over that was muffled. Obviously crappyand boring combat. Has a little more soul than MW; and definitely not as bland. Please, not another Beteshda crap fest. Give me Gothic 3. At least it has a chance to be good.

So I finally finished Hordes of the Underdark

SOU ch1 was aweosme. SOU ch2 was one of the worst gaming expeirence sof my live only slightly better than the ES series, or POR2, or EOTB. The interlude was okay. -
"saying that "Bethesda sucks and everything their hands touch turn into poo" is rather hasty to say the least." Nonsense. How can it be hasty to say Bethesda games sucks when they've been making games for nearly 2 decades? Every game I've played either if I bought them myself or through friends have been crap yet somehow I'm supposed to 'ive them a chance' with FO3? It's not I just woke up this morning and said they suck. I've learn they suck by experiencing their trash. HAHAHAHAHA! It would be only idiotic if I bought their FO3 simply ebcause of the title. I don't think so. Same with Oblivion. Oblivion will not be pruchased until its 20$ or less. FO3 will not purhcased until it is under 50$, and gets good reviews by REAL role-players; not Bethesda fnaboys whod efend their crappy games. That is all.

Bethesda sucks, and FO3 will suck like allo the other Bethesda games. They have to prove me wrong which I doubt they will.

Call Arcanum all you want; but to me it is very much fantasy. A good fantasy game, mind you. -
Good game. Woulda been better if the combat didnb't suck, and the dialogue wasn't so immature at times. Overall, though, the dialogue was very good.

"its more like only half now." Actually, accoridng to Obsidian it's more like 25% and it's likely dropped lower with the new hires. And, remember that's ex BIS; not neccesarily ex Mystary Engine. Still, that said, they could still use it if it was possible as they would have to elarn it much like they had to get use to the Aurora Engine as well..
-
"Well a lot of the guys at Obsidian wrote the Mystary engine, so I'd think they'd be even more intimately familiar with that one." Doubtful. You, like others, seem to overestimate the number of Obsidianites who worked at BIS, or more specifically worked on BG3 and FO3. Everyone working on NWN2 is familiar with the NWN2 engine; not everyone or even close to it is familiar with the Mystary Engine.

What Did You Think Of The Kotor Revelation??
Volourn replied to Bastilla_Skywalker's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
"And remember NWN and one the most predictable twist ever AKA Desther's betrayal..yes it was logical but it also tied your arms...and I think more people forsaw that then K1's..." The problem with the Desther twist is not just that it was obvious; but that it was spelled out yet you couldn't do anything about it depsite having letters to prove his guilt. Your talk about the PC no longer being the PC after the Revan reveal is silly as the player still has 100% control over how to act. To me, twists aren't neccessarily about suprirse. In fact, the best twists can be fugured out by the player (or viewer for movie/tv) before the actual reveal by the writers. That's a good twist. -

"A good twist is suposed to fool you" No, it isn't. A good twist is supposed to be logical and be solveable by those wo are paying attention to the clues. Unless you think the following is a good twist: What if, in the NWN OC, BIO made you first cousins to the Lizard Queen; but there'd obviously be no clues until you find out. That be a poor twist as it come out of the blue and would not make sense. A good twist is one that makes you think; not one that surprises you for the sake of surprise. -

"He doesn't exist anymore in the end Revan regains his mind...so the PC can't care..." WHAT? What are ya babbling about? "And it still was a horrible twist..it just seems that a lot of people were so cought up in the story and did not notice all the clues..." I don't count as I was spoiled way before I got the game. Still, even with the spoilers; the twist was well done and worked as well as being logical. -

It was a good twsit, and Baley is wrong. All the Revan twist did was give you a backgorund and a history; it doesn't neccessarily nullify your current actions and choices. YOU still role-play your version of Revan. You are still in control. The big thing is how the PC reacts to the revelation. Do, they get really upset with the Master Jedis for brainwashing him; or does he understand the reasoning. It's muhc better than the KOTOR2 'revelation' that kreia is the uber bad guy or she was full of hate. LOL -
Inifinity Engine.. you know the engine that powered PST, BG, and IWD...
-
"there definatly should be a new engine, i'm tired of seeing the same battle animations over and over again, the dumb AI and the dated graphics" They could alwasy add more animations. The AI has nothing to do with an engine, really; but with programming. The graphics are still pretty darn good. Not the best; but not horrible or even 'dated'.

"I did like the fact that the rats didn't automatically attack in that bit of your mod, btw. (sure, have 'em do it if you make 'em angry, but surely a rat is going to run away rather than fight a person ...)" Heh. If you notice most creatures in the module aren't auto hostile. I can think of only 3 encounters where the creatures are auto hostile - 2 can be easily avoided, and the other rarely ever happens excpet in a very special way. "I hate enemy NPCs summoning in dang beasties" That's good. You aren't suppose to enjoy your enemies summoning in back up. :D

"Does the Drow equipment disintergrate in daylight?" They haven't said anything about stuff like that... Considierng the fact the game starts on a surface town; how they gonna explain being a drow is gonna be.... <>
-
Heh. The summoning magic forces them to work for you. Think of it as an enhanced charm spell.. Still, you'll be pleseantly surprise that that the conjuring spells that arne't part of the summoning line do have rules like that (think Gate, Planar Summoning, and the the like)...
-
That would be evil.... and more work. :D
-
Yes. This has been confirmed by Obsidian. And, it has a world map too. And, playable drow as a subrace at the minimum..
-
Yes, I know. It takes me awhile just ediitng the monsters to get what I want. Some take a good 30 minutes (espicially true with the demi human class summons) while I pick and choose their skills, feats, and equipment. Also, of note, the more intelligent of the summons may also come with potions, scrolls, and the like...
-
No. The dwarves, gnomes, halflings, and elve alternate on races. I believe the elven bladesinger is male, and the dwarven champion is female IIRC. Frost ginats are also female as opposed to the male fire giant. To clarify: there are 8 summons of the 4 demi human races. 4 (one of each race) is male, and the other 4 are female 9one of eahc race as well). Not that this really effects the gameor the inetratcion between summoner and summon anyways. That said, if I feel up to it; I might actually add some short dialogue so the PC can have a little more control over the summons (much like one would give directions to henchmen). For example, the Halfling Rogue can be set to either short sword + buckler or shortbow... That's the plan, anyways, though I might go as indepth as that at least for this first module as I wanna complete the real meaty stuff so peopel can see it in finish form finally. LOL
