  1. Too easy. Too boring for the most part. And, utterly without imagination. And, oh, using melee weapons and watching enemies go all over the palce in ways that no human body can is just beyond gah. It's worse than JE or FO in that regard which are a lot more reasonable. There are some reasonable combat scenes in the game; but mostly it just bores me and I just wanna throiugh. The biggets problem is the combat requires absolutely no thinking what-so-ever. It's funny to since supposedly Bl is semi based on character skills; but all it comes down to is spamming the attack button.. At best, it was a reasonable timewaster in between the good parts of BL.
  2. Cool. Spaceballs is one of the funniest spoofs ever.
  3. "Wishful thinking ?" Heck, your suggested title alone for it makes me crack up.
  4. "I do.." As good a reason as any.
  5. Bloodlines' 'action' was horrid. It's a big part of why the game isn't in my top 10. Too bad too. Anyways, 'hack n slash' games cna be found if the combat is fun and challenging which for the most aprt BL combat didn't have it; but IWD did for the most part (something IWD2 lacked). That said, a greta hns game can also include a decent story, and purpose for the PC other than just hacking...
  6. "Subtlety of wit and wry humour may not be everyone's taste, Mr Barlast." Ha. I love subtle humour; but said humour has to be funny. (w00t)
  7. Hahaha.
  8. Aye, that's who it is. And, I like him too. I just wasn't convinced in the trailer, and it wans't like it was a 10 second clip. It was 10 minutes of scenes throughout the movie. Like I said, it looks to be a good movie though.
  9. That Batman is retarded. I don't know why people like it. It wns't even funny most of the time. The comedy,a cting, and stories ALL sucked. I'll take the worst Batman move from the 'serious' series than that Joker (heheh) of a garbage tv series...
  10. LOL True. Sometimes, you never. Perhaps, subconciously, he was trying to say something deep and meaningful. (w00t)
  11. Sometimes it's good that the 'deeper meaning'sn't forced down the viewer's throat. That way one can see the film has just entertianment or if they want soemthing meaningful. Hey, I used to not be a big fna of thats cene; but reading said article does put another spin on what Lucas waspossibly trying to accomplish with that scene. Good stuff. Your hate for a man that you willing throw your money at is hilarious. LONG LIVE LUCAS! "If the writer/director doesnt intend a film to have a deeper meaning" You have no way of knowing what a writer/director truly intends. One can only watch the scene and detemrine it. Remember, most movies often take multiple vieiwngs to get the overall menaing as you see it from different angles. Since I only tend to watch these films once, or twice at max; I don't always get the big stuff. This article shows that scene's awesomeness and a very plausible purpose.
  12. Actually, I didn't eman to siund like I was accusing you. I was just bringing up a funny point about 'dead' characters in entertainment. Your post just remidned me of that fact. Good on E3 for not doing the 'ol; 'he fell down a big hole so he must be dead ; but he's not syndrome.'
  13. I saw this after the Smallville Season Finale on Wedsnday. Looks good; but seems to be overrated. From what I saw, the guy who plays Batman - whose name elludes me at the moment - does an unconvincing job. Otherwise, it'll be a fun movie. I doubt it'll beat Batman.
  14. "Just one thing: did anybody else cheer when they heard: "Where's the body?" ... "Then he's not dead!" I did -- finally, somebody that has figured that out! Rarely do we get common sense out of Star Wars." Actually, not really fair to just blame SW for this. Almsot any movie, book, or tv show that a body goes missing; the eprson is presume dead and 9 out of 10 times they aren't. It's so common that now if a body goes missing; I always presume they're alive.
  15. "Bollocks. You can come up with as many profound interpretations of SW as you like, but its all just as meaningles as trying to polish a turd." I hope those blinder you wear are worth it... And, oh, how many times have you seen E3 so far? 1? 3? 5? Hahaha. Everyone Else:
  16. Just reading one of my usual haunts, and the fellow has a short series of articles discussing a scene each from Episodes 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6. Good stuff espicially on the E2 scene after Anakin slaughters the Tuskan Raiders between him and Padme. Makes one see the dialogue there in a new light.. Here they are: A New Hope: http://www.411mania.com/movies/columns/art...columns_id=3899 The Phantom Menace: http://www.411mania.com/movies/columns/art...columns_id=3865 Attack of the Clones: http://www.411mania.com/movies/columns/art...columns_id=3883 Empire Strikes Back: http://www.411mania.com/movies/columns/art...columns_id=2972 Return of the Jedi: http://www.411mania.com/movies/columns/art...columns_id=3393 Good stuff. Check it out if you want.
  17. "They're both being produced by hugely evil, overtly anti-competitive monopolistic corporations" The only evil her eis you and your whining. OMG They want to make money. Boo hoo hoo. And, they're not antyi competitive. You are. Afterall, that's exactly what theya re doing - competing. Good on them!
  18. I seriously doubt BIO passed on KOTOR2 just to come back for KOTOR3. That is silly talk. The only chance of BIo working on their previous work that they don't own is the outside chance of them doing BG3, or making PM for NWN2 as has been suggested by both them and Obsidian previously. If KOTOR3 is made; it's gonna be made by either Obsidian or some completely different company.
  19. "Apologies, that was
  20. "inovative" Innovative often = boring. I'll take fun, any day over 'innovative crap'. As for the IJ game; doesn't sound like my type of game. If only it was a RPG... or a sports game..
  21. "Halo 2 took $70 million in its first weekend, much more than any film ever has.)" Not quite true. Movies have taken as much as 114 mil in one weekend. i believe that was Spiderman2. A few others have reach 100 mil. Also, considering that SW E3 took 18mil in its first night + 50 mil on ots first full day; I think it's also gonna crush that record. Anyways, on topic, I say keep KOTOR3 on x-box/x-box 360 as well as PC. If possible, and all aprties agree, let it be avaialble to PS3 as well. Nintendo is dead as far as I'm concerned, and they ahve been for a while. Outisd eof Mario, Zelda, and afe wother frnachises they have nothing good to offer and I haven't really played those in, like, forever.
  22. "You'll tell us when the next version is available, I take it?" Yes, I'll be emailing it to those who are QA'ing. It'll e a while. Editing all these summons take forever. <> "As for names: "Wise One": it might be better to emphasise the difference in wisdom between the summoner and the summoned; perhaps call the summoned being a "gnostic" (i.e. "hidden knowledge"), or some derivative. A "Guiding Light" could be an animus ("little soul"), or you might even want to call both creatures animuses (animi? ) and have two different types -- Gnostic and Greater. (Okay, but some words are mixed Greek/Latin ) Can't give you the Greek equivalent now (I can't find a good classical suffix reference at the moment)."
  23. Doesn't seem as bad now as most people have gotten sued to it so they know not to spam the post button when they get the rror. Still, thats creen comes up rarely for me now as opposed to before so I presume they may have tinkered with it..
  24. The Undead and Planar summons are ready to be unveiled to the masses (read a couple) who ar einterested in the module. The summons themselves are pretty set; but the requirements not neccessarily so. And, oh, if anyone cna up with better names for the neutral planar summons; I'm all ears. All summons available are shown except for the TOP SECRET GATE spell, and the last 2 summons from Create Greater Undead. Here goes... UNDEAD SUMMONS ----------------------- ----------------------- Requirements/Results: Animate Undead - Permenant 'til killed/turned, may have max of 1 per spell type, 100xp, only evil, 1 skele knuckle, +1 evil point as this spell corrupts even the already corrupted... Create Undead - Permenant 'til killed/turned, may have max of 1 per spell type, 250xp, only evil, 1 skele knuckle, +2 evil point as this spell corrupts even the already corrupted... Permenant 'til killed/turned, may have max of 1 per spell type, 500xp, , 1 skele knuckle, +4 evil and chaos points as this spell corrupts even the already corrupted., +2 evil/chaos if summoning good undead as even for a good cause using undead will eat away at the soul albeit slowly, no neutrals allowed as the Undead are so corrupted they abhor it.. Creature Summons: Animate Undead ------------------ Level 1-6: Skeletal Archer Level 7-12: Skeletal Warrior Level 13+: Skeletal Chieftain Create Undead ----------------- Level 12 + Under: Tyrantfog Zombie Level 13-15: Greater Shadow Level 16-18: Wrathful Wraith Level 19+: Vampire Warrior Create Greater Undead --------------------------- Level 16 + Under: Cryptkeeper (G), or Ghoul Ravager (E) Level 17-18: Revenant (G), or Bodak (E) Level 19-20: Baelnorn (G), or Lich (E) Level 21+: SECRAT PLANAR SUMMONS --------------------- --------------------- Requirements/Results: Lesser Planar Binding - 8hr duration, 100xp, 250gp Planar Blinding/Planar Ally - 8hr duration, 250xp, 500gp Greater Planar Blinding - 8hr duration, 500xp, 1000gp Gate - 24hr duration, 1000xp, 5000gp Creature Summons: Lesser Planar Blinding: Lantern Archon (G), Wise One (N), or Red Imp (E) Planar Blinding/Planar Ally: Hound Archon (G), Guiding Light (N), or Succubus Slave (E) Greater Planar Blinding: Celestial Avenger (G), Nature Golem (N), or Vicious Vrock (E) Gate: TOP SECRAT SUMMONS. However, there is one summon for goo, neutral, and evil characters. This is the most powerful, an dmost costly summons in the entire game not counting epic spells... BLADE SUMMONS -------------------- Requirements/Results: Shelgarn's Persistant Blade - 10gp, platinum dagger, lasts 1r/l, does magic damage Mordenkainen's Sword - 100gp, platinum long sword,, lasts 1r/l, no longer a helm sword but an actual floating sword, does magic damage Black Blade of Disaster - 1000gp, platinum great sword, lasts 1r/l, does magic damage, this sword is a death by slicing masterlock. Other Stuff: 1. Metaldigital wrote: "Well, you will undoubtably have some sort of "gatekeeper" who will require a passphrase. Something one has, something one knows and something one can do: that there is a three-factor security puzzle (made eminently more solvable by having completed a previous quest, no doubt)." Aye; but I don't really consider that a puzzle. 2. If you have better names for the neutral planar summons, I'm all ears. the first one is in the shape of a wise flacon from the outer planes, and the second is in the shape of a will 'o wisp that guides people with light. It also hails from the outer planes. 3. Dwarves rock! 4. The requirements for these spells aren't set in stone; but the summons themselves pretty much are. Update: Things are going well.... Hehe. Not much of an update as I'm just working on sprucing up dialogue, and ediitng all these summons... Argh. Also, waiitng on QAers to give me some more opinions to add to the next version.. Next Thread Update: I will post the world's gods next time. The gods, their names, and their portfolios aren't really anything unique; but the effect they have on players in ther actual game world does.... We shall see.. Comment if you want. Enjoy.
  25. "But that doesnt mean you want to hear it in 8 channel full digital THX sound." R00fles! And, that's why that's the part of E1 & E2; I dislike the most. Oops, that's not true. Jar Jar is the worst!
