I think you can find what you want in Japan.

I agree with the Revan/Keanu face. Thats the one I always used. For exile I always use the asian Jackie Chan looking face. The rest look to me like the features are out of perportion.

Who was the better lightsaber user?
JediExile replied to Lord Orpheus's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Vader is going to kill most of the Jedi. Obi-Wan does defeat him, but it will be through luck and using his mind. Vader is the better lightsaber fighter. Obi-Wan defeated Maul even though he wasn't as good at using a lighsaber. From what I've heard the suit only affects his force powers, but he still is very good with the lightsaber. -

Anakin and Vader are the same person. He is Vader before he gets the suit. I agree that after we see EP3 Vader will be the best at lightsaber use. -
SW Movies: Do you like the good ol' ones best or
JediExile replied to Bounce's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
LOTR actually didn't use much CGI. The director actually said he used as little CGI as possible. The one CGI that was great was golem and thats probably because they put tuns of effort into making him seem real. On the flip side we have George who wants to put as much CGI as possible. When I look at his CGI characters the don't move realisticly IMO. It's hard to feel any emotion when armies of robots or clones are attacking you. They aren't really evil, but just some toy armies being set up against eachother. I think thats my main problem with the PT. I'm not feeling any emotional connection with the characters in the movie. On the flip side I think the thing I liked best about the OT were that there were no stuck up Jedi and very few lightsaber battles. Too many Jedi = a stale movie. -
Is the Force strong enough?
JediExile replied to radiohead3's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I agree. For one thing I could spam force heal to keep my group mates alive and never lose mana from about mid game on. I also could force push everything while my group mates walked in and finished them while they were stuned. Your charisma also adds to everyones combat modifiers so they will have a better to hit chance. -
Imagine seeing the star wars on the old baldur's gate 2 infinity engine. Though the graphics aren't great I think it would be so cool to have it in a over the top view looking down and controlling all your NPCs at once.

They both have people that worked at interplay.

a comparison of I and II after playing II first
JediExile replied to bluerosy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I personally liked KOTOR better. You are right in that RPGs most important element is the story. KOTOR started with a great fast paced intro. It was great in that it was short and then you were thrust right into the action. I found Peragus somewhat boring at times. I especially liked all the little things like the arena and Bendak Starkiller. Character interaction in the first game was driven by what point in the game you are at. The characters will randomly talk to you about themselves. In KOTOR2 on the otherhand you can do all the talking on the ship and you have to start the dialogue. The planets in KOTOR seemed alive and I always felt like I was interating with people on them. In KOTOR2 it they seem empty and like I'm just doing this because I need to if I am going to finish the quest. We had the nice Revan plot twist. It may have been obvious to some, but to me it was a suprize and I liked it enough to play through a few times. The end of KOTOR was classic star wars. Some didn't feel it fit the game, but I enjoyed it a great deal. KOTOR2 left me feeling empty like how did I get here and why is this over already? Did I miss something? Jolee > Kreia HK4 = HK47 Carth < Atton Bastila > Visas/Handmaiden Mission = Mira T3 = T3 Canderous = Mandalore -
Wish Handmaiden could stay in this dark outfit
JediExile replied to Vashanti's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yes good point. Both look quite nice hehe. It's pretty funny though because Visas wont wear the dancers outfit and it is also only for female characters so the male PC can't wear it (NOT that I'd want to), but the famle PC can. :D -
The PCvsXbox thread revisted.
JediExile replied to ShadowPaladin V1.0's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Lol thats probably because I dare not even dream of such a thing. My monitor is only 17" and my TV only 20". Pretty sad by today's standard, but it does the job. It's true I could mod, my xbox for betty load times, but I'm not sure I want to go there. Of course my DVD drive on my xbox has been acting somewhat erratic of late and my last xbox the DVD drive died. This new one isn't sapposed to have this problem. Maybe I just watch to many DVD movies. -

There are two reasons to play it on the PC. 1. You can watch TV if you like to do that. :D 2. The load times are a lot shorter. Reasons against 1. It's easier to play the mini games on xbox 2. I've had a lot of trouble getting the game to run smoothly in certain areas on the PC. You will probably have to fool around with settings a lot to get it to work with minimal frame rate loss. -
So the way Obi-One used it to get by the stormtroopers was evil? It can indeed be used for good or evil.
-
Indeed. The only way I could see it work is have it set in a future time where Jedi/Sith are abundant. To the person who said they were suprized you have to pay 10 bucks it's a MMORPG. Basically they keep patching and updating which is what you are paying for. You are also paying for the server maintenance and other expenses.

That's why they made Star Wars galaxies.... Knights of the Old republic are about the Jedi Knights, and I like that stuff better anyways, as do the majority of star wars fans, I think I have room to say, are fans of the jedi and lightsabers lol. Let's hope. But from what I heard Star Wars galaxies sucks, so they should try another one, maybe just an rpg instead of online one, but I say leave the KOTOR series on its own and leave it. because it's very cool. I think it would be cool to be in training for awhile, like the first half of the game, and be in the academy and etc. and go in depth with either the jedi or the sith...and then build a story around that.... hopefully there will be a K3 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Know why a lot of people don't like star wars galaxies? Because it's really hard to be a Jedi. Lets face it it's no fun being a bounty hunter or whatever you choose and watching somone lucky person who unlocked their force slot go around killing everyone with their lightsaber. Besides it's just isn't that much fun being the average character in the starwars universe. If that is what they wanted then they shouldn't have let people become Jedi's in the first place.

Both Bioware and Obsidian came from Interplay which has made many good RPGs throughtout thier history. Unfortunatly Bioware has thier own things they want to work on right now and Obsidian is doing NWN. Who knows if they would want to do another project for LA since they wont have full control over thier project. I don't think another company making a star wars RPG would do as well. If you like this game you might like some of thier past an future RPGs not based in the star wars realm. My personal favorite is forgotten realms, but Bioware has Dragon age/Jade Epire comoing out soon and Obsidian has NWN2 which should be better due to not working under LA for that game.

Most exciting aspect of Episode III
JediExile replied to Nur Ab Sal's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
We don't have to see any more of GL's CGI fests. Thats right up there with I don't have to be let down with bad dialogue and story. The only things that keep me watching are that it's star wars and I like most of the actors for which I feel bad since they have to read empty lines with empty backrounds talking to blue walls. -
I doubt GL thought about these things when he was writing the star wars script. Regardless if it makes sense or not it's just a fantasy movie and I have always thought the line sounds good. One of my favorites all time in star wars.

JediExile replied to Woodsprite4's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Maybe some of you should apply at obsidian as story writers. They could probably use some female advice. -
I don't like how they add everything they can get their hands on. GL will do whatever he wants though as it's his universe as he showed when he added new scenes to the OT. He will add whatever he wants to the databank as well weather it makes sense to us or not.

Funniest NPC from a black isle/obsidian game
JediExile replied to Sneaky Smurf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
She makes some comment about his facial tatoos "Has some child daubed on your head?" And then he says somthing along the lines of "Boo tells Minsc he has the face that women love." And we do.... (Well I do anyway :"> ) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hehe that is the line. Thanks for clearing that up. I couldn't remember exactly what it was. -
why make Darth nihilus so weak ?
JediExile replied to Badsight's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I don't believe they ment him to be weak. They probably thought we couldn't handle it any harder so they left the game on easy mode or perhaps they didn't have time to switch it to hard mode before they burnt and shipped it. At any rate they said before that fight that he was planning to suck the life from Jedi at that planet, but because there weren't any there he lost a lot of his power. -

JediExile replied to Sneaky Smurf's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I seem to recall Viconia making fun of Minsc at some point in BG2 and he said something like What! You know all the ladies love Minsc! Anyway I voted for Jolee. I love his story about destiny in the first game.
