Hrm I think I just misunderstood what you were asking.
-
I'd say it's fine if you are doing a streangth build, but you wont be able to use master speed.
-
Hehe I still think the male faces are limited in KOTOR2. The only two faces I like are asian. The white/hispanic/black faces all look goofy to me.

I'd have to go with Exile. He has been able to survive without the force and also has the ability to feed on others force if I understand correctly.

Best Prestige class for Sentinel?
JediExile replied to nobones's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I was going sentinal/watchman my first playthrough and got the handmaiden bug where I couldn't turn her into a Jedi. I started over and played as a counsler/Jedi Master which was really easy as I could force spam anyone to death. Even though I was lightside I took the kill force power and used it on sion. Poor guy couldn't even get a swing in on me. It was pretty sad. Anyway I plan to go Sentinal/Weapon Master on my next run through for the skills/feats combo. I would like to try a guardian, but they have such poor skills and I don't think I will ever need a feat every level. -
There really wasn't an ending to this game. The end for me on Lightside was flyihng away in a ship right after fighting Kreia. There were two things I did like though. The first is that you talk to Kreia and she tells you what happens too your compainions. The second is this feeling of mystery about going off to find the Sith Lords and help Revan battle them if he/she is still alive.

Who was the better Sith Lord?
JediExile replied to Jedi Master Revan's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The two Sith in KOTOR2 are scary, but fail to bring much of a challenge in game which takes away from them. Malek was far more of a challenge to beat yet was not nearly as imposing a character. Kreia isn't a Sith anymore, but is pretty powerful in her own right. Her stats for instance are crazy compared to everyone else. She is also very smart for a former Sith Lord. Kinda like Palpatine. -
I was just thinking that the developers could have made this a easier on themselves if the male and female were actually two seperate characters. For isntance in resident evil you could play two differnt characters that follow similiar paths and meet up in the end of the game. The way it is now kind of leaves a ? in the store wars history.

Actually Viconia was my favorite. For some reason none of the others apealed to me. As far as cheating myself by not playing as a female you could look at it that way, but for me I just don't feel comfortable doing it. For instance I played KOTOR1 both lightside and darkside, but I didn't enjoy playing darkside at all. It may be just a game, but like reading a book I feel for the characters and don't feel right playing darkside. I don't plan to do so in KOTOR2.

Bao Dur was my favorite male character, but I'd rather have Vissas/Mirra/Handmaiden in my group anyday.

Are non-Jedi classes in KOTOR2 more viable?
JediExile replied to KOTORFanactic's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Sure it's viable, but it's easier to play with jedi. I usually let Bao Dur and Mirra get their skills to 20 then swith them to Jedi for the power that allows you to deflect blaster bolts without a lightsabre. I got this ability for everyone I turned into a jedi as well as heal. -
Yeah this is getting really off topic, but let me add one more thing. I think the icewind dale series was hurt by not having NPCs that can join your group. One of the things the made the Baldur's gate series great is that you could pickup these differnt people with differnt personalties and voice sets. Making your own group is just not the same experience.

I've never played that game, but Baldur's Gate 2 has been my favorite RPG to this point. Mostly because of the story and side quests. Not so much because of the main character.

Interesting theory, but...no. There are many, many reasons that you do not see as many girl gamers, but that does not really factor into it, at all. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well if it doesn't give womem/girls problems then it at least gives me problems. :D I don't like being hit on by computer guys for one thing.

If all you are interested in is the digital butt then you could always switch to another character like handmaiden or vissas. I've always found it hard to roleplay a woman and think the lack of female gamers up until recently is because females have a hard time imagining themselves as males and what a male would say in a certain situation.

They are whatever you want them to be. Thats the great thing about a game. You can change the story so it fits how you would like to see it.

As a counsler/jedi master I had Atton, Handmaiden, Vissas, Bao Dur, Mira all at lightside mastery with the bonus. I went through all converstations with them and made sure I got all the influence I could. In the end I had two groups worth of jedi.

Flurry vs. Critical Strike vs. Power Attack
JediExile replied to Zaalbar's Uncle's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I use master flurry usually. I figure you can't beat a no penalty extra attack per round. -
I believe the game is a good one. The characters in this one I like better then in the first one, but the plot twists in the first were better. They made me go wow in the first while the second I was just mildly suprized here and there. I do like the way they tied the story into Revan and leave you wondering whats going to happen next.
-
I used the double sabre and I believe it's the most effective. Still the single looks better IMO and two single short sabres looks to good.

Thanks for the post. After playing through this game I feel the Jedi have good intentions in mind, but aren't nearly as wise as they think they are. They don't get involed so they can't really make the right decision as far as decieding what to do. I agree that Jolee Bindo seems the way to go.

I both liked and disliked the ending. I liked all the information on what happens to the party memebers and that you will be venturing out to face the true sith and maybe find out what happened to Revan. I disliked that the ending is so short. One second you are playing and the next you are flying out into space and the game is over. The last few fights were to easy. None of the bosses gave a challenge to me and I played a Jedi Master/Counsler. I was only around 26 levels combine at then end. With all that said the end has me wanting more. I can't wait for number 3 to see what happened to Revan and whats awaits on the Outer Rim.

So what do you guys think? I defended the Jedi throughout my first playthrough of the game, but I'm wondering if that was a mistake. They seem to want to do the right thing, but end up doing the wrong thing in the end.
