  1. The O guys is The Omen PS at 36 now
  2. Awesome. 14 so far, a couple not mentioned already.
  3. Good lord, the insides look like some machine for production of the blue freeze gel they use for ice-subsitute paks... I do kinda like the glo-blue people use nowadays tho. A lot better than some past colors...
  4. Well I had to find the interview on YT since I hate QT...from my unpolitical viewpoint it didn't seem like he was 'making pathetic excuses' - he says several times that he didn't get him and that he regretted it and trying to explain the events or reasons for failure doesn't seem pathetic, it feels reflective and acknowledging that he's only one man and sometimes timing, political atmosphere of the day etc. combine to equal certain results, good intentions or not. That said, it also does appear to me, only from watching the interview, that he wasn't surprised into his verbage by being 'jumped on' right then. So while Clinton has a gift for speech and analytical thinking (most of the time...) it seemed obvious that Clinton had the agenda of saying what he said from the get go, maybe in reaction to other things, maybe as a political influence move, whatever - which feels a bit petty or manipulative, if that's the case, even if it's fun to watch. I'd have to agree that there is no single blame factor & the 'armchair blame game' is usually unproductive. I doubt many of us could do better when out of the armchair and faced with political decisions that are not typically made/created by a unilateral/lone-ranger process. Edit: grammar again, argh
  5. Some artists may be more gifted and historically/culturally recognized than others, but that doesn't make the creative works of the masses not art.
  6. It is fun to watch them as seperate little movies outside of the game. So many game vids on YouTube...
  7. The Proposition. A weird and moody drama in a Western setting, full of gorgeous desert imagery, manly yet tortured gazes of moral dilemma, and indecipherable mumbling accents.
  8. Saw the ads for it and meant to, but didn't watch it... but I bet it's aliens. Unless it's a government conspiracy. Or the result of an illegal science experiment on the heroes parents.
  9. The US state where the people elected a Terminator for governor.
  10. omg, those are priceless, rofl.
  11. Yeah, those were pretty, for their day. Even now they're still nice to look at. They didn't bother me either, because they were like between game-act intermissions, telling a backstory, rather than interfering with the pace/action/characters in the game. Tho any game you replay a lot, such cutscenes become a waste of time and you click like mad to get past them. And in multiplayer - argh - any system where any 1 person in your groupwho doesn't click to skip the movie that forces everyone else to wait and watch, is really irritating. IIRC GuildWars did that, and it drove me insane.
  12. You don't need Bao-Dur to get past those shields, tho. I never take him there.
  13. Ansel Adams, of course. This gallery of tigers and other big cats Other styles of photography I really like are textures: Macros by people who actually have good lenses, unlike myself:
  14. No, I don't miss them. I feel pretty much the same as Shadowstrider about the overall topic of cutscenes/cinematics.
  15. I'm playing it on XP, so...yes. :D The critters scamper a bit faster since I bought the 7800GS. That doesn't bother me tho...what's most annoying is the level choice slider in DeeperDungeons goes up and down so fast it's hard to choose the ones in the middle of the list. heh
  16. Of the more recent years, yeah. And btw, your current avatar kinda creeps me out...
  17. I'm crazy, but not quite that crazy.
  18. ... tho I still, of course, occasionally play some DungeonKeeper ... "
  19. I always peter out at the end of a name...turns into a line or a big looping crossover.
  20. I had to Google that, y'know. A tiger samurai?...
  21. I can't decide. <-- imp smokin' or vamp walkin'
  22. That's good to know/keep in mind, thanks. First thing I noticed was the amount of cussin'. I swear a lot myself, in speech, but the show seems a bit excessive. It's repetitive and distracting because it feels like forced shock-value that doesn't work. Yeah...that's why we wait and buy most series on DVD (or rent them) instead of watching them every week.
  23. I have that picture. I made an avatar out of it. :D
  24. I'm not sure if this is the same issue or not, but this article says that Microsoft Issues Out-of-Cycle Patch for Critical IE Flaw The article also mentions an exploit for PowerPoint is now being reported by McAfee.
  25. I consider the graphic designs in games to be artistic (sometimes, heh). The game design itself, I consider more akin to the art of, say, writing fiction. The thing about games, to me, is that they're really composed of more than one kind of 'art' - taken as a whole, I would consider games to be entertainment art (acting, they say, is an art, and that's for entertainment purposes)...which to me is quite different from the old-style 'classic' art defintions of Monet paintings and giant statues of David, or whatnot.
