  1. So if I purchase a game via main psn account on my Pro, and the PS4-Slim still has all the info on it from before I transferred it all to the new unit, can I download the game on the Slim so hubby can play it there, under one of the other created users (eg, user 2) I made a while back, without it creating some kind of account/multiple box confusion? If that makes sense.
  2. Beg, Deadeye, that's a good boy. Who knew this was a pet training simulator. It happens.
  3. And I know the electric violin lady's version was posted, but for that song I tend to prefer the vocal ones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wq73h6XZQGA (yeah I like Penatonix...they have a lot of great modern harmonizing song versions)
  4. Or if you prefer traditional: edit: can't spell
  5. My favorite winter morning wear. Sometimes my favorite afternoon and evening wear, too. Man not included.

  7. Most of the time yes, they have at least some choices. But not 100% of the time. ...after having watched two K-dramas about early-onset Alzheimers (Remember: War of the Son, Memory), now every time I forget my carkeys or something, I feel a bit like I should run to the doctor and have that brain scan done to see if my brain has/is turning into the "telltale" visible pattern. They were good melodrama's tho.
  8. ^ Hubby and I stopped buying "gifts" for each other in our early 20's. We just buy ourselves any fun stuff on our own, instead. Within reasonable means, of course. eg, no mega-luxury car, yacht or leer-jet purchasing is allowed without at least a notification of intent.
  9. I finished making a pretty darn good lance/spear and now I just like to poke things.
  10. Rented "The Hit man's Bodyguard." Expected stupid silly action film and pretty much that's it. Action is action, comedy comes from the odd-couple forced-into-situation buddy formula. Starts off ok, predictable but watchable. Reynolds and Jackson serviceable but neither escapes the main typecasting they're known for. That said, it's still playing as hubby is next to me watching and I'm here posting. Make of that as you will.
  11. Silverado is one of my fave films. It's just fun. Others for me: Open Range Pale Rider The Good, The Bad, The Weird (S. Korea) Lonesome Dove tv series High Noon I suppose not technically a true Western but still feels like one: Outlaw Josey Wales
  12. I was wondering where Pooky was. *gets on the phone* Seriously, I want.
  13. I would like to once again whinge re: getting old + vision. --Glasses on: 27" monitor = average for things to be in ok focus is 2.5-3 feet, but fine detail work or small text I have to look over tops of glasses/remove glasses and smash my face against the monitor (1 foot away or closer). --Contact lenses: 27" monitor = I have to wear reading glasses 98% of the time, from about 1.5-2 feet away. Reading glass are always on a chain on my neck now. Gets worse every 6 months, I swear. I guess it's time for bifocals, but I loathe bifocals. And it makes me really unsure about results when I'm trying to edit photos/pictures and stuff. Which makes me sad. Edit: not to mention *taking* pictures.
  14. FFXV's HDR setting via the Pro and cheap 4k TV looks terrible. Colors and contrast/whites completely blow out to horrid, super saturated and cheap photo filter effect, ugh. Dunno if it's the TV or just a terrible implementation or maybe both. Yeah, I might be able to fiddle with all the TV settings to "fix it" somewhat but why, when I can just turn it off.... Otherwise, once I adjusted stuff to my personal liking, the boy band looks great. I'm ready for that Ignis DLC now.
  15. Just in case the billboard signs and the theme-related sidequest weren't enough to convince you of CupNoodles PPL, they gave you a hat to wear in-game, as well. Complete with readable text. Subtle, they ain't.
  16. Y'know, when you try to watch things like Netflix on a 4k (when the TV isn't a 60" I suppose), subtitles get really small .... (edit) oops I mean Viki, not Netflix. Netflix is ok.
  17. BestBuy has a 43" LG "4k" TV on sale for around $330. Sure it won't be a high quality TV but since I bought the Pro, I'm suuuuuper tempted, but then that truly would mean FFXV is the most expensive game ever. But...the boy band...in 4k... Must...resist...
  18. Oh...lol. That would make more sense probably. I wonder why I read it the other way. Brainssssss...
  19. Unless of course they are the reason you are in that condition! Also true. Maybe some sort of panic button and a roommate is better Life Alert to the rescue.
  20. Maybe it was just me, but I could never get the buildings to look right. The walls and floors sometimes didn't match up, especially if the floor wasn't sitting on perfectly level ground. My structures looked like someone playing The Sims after finishing an entire bottle of whiskey. Yeah, the wall/floors were hard to get right a lot of the time. Fallout 4 was a game where I loved building and I loved that dog (I may be a cat person but dangit, goggles-wearing dog was adorable), but I never even got 1/3 through the plot...then I dropped it.
  21. I went back to Cat Quest today. I've reached the point where some of the small dungeons are rather difficult to get through, since there are no potions so if your health gets too short too early you're just gonna take a catnap in the dirt. Thus I grind a while to level up and try to get gold to purchase spell upgrades, and that healing spell's upgrades are pricey, relatively speaking. There's a dodge mechanic but I typically suck at timing those in games so my kitty isn't very nimble. Still a cute game for easy time passing, even if the 1000's of feline jokes start to wear thin.
  22. Care to elucidate a little on why not? ... outside of the fact buying one in my case was not neccesary and likely a "waste" of money? I can't really decide. There is some difference in visual quality (when 8 feet away) but I'm not sure if I care. Either that or I could buy a cheapish "4k" TV for this room while we wait on the OLED's for the living room.
  23. FFXV on a PS4 Pro with a 1080 40" and 50" TV ... main differences I notice (for this game) are: a little better AA/smoothing, better texture draw distance, particularly 'floor' textures that don't blur 10 feet away from your chrs. feet, more high contrast lighting (less washed out looking in some situations), a somewhat smoother/faster "feel" (from higher fps I'd guess?) overall. But some things I'd noticed didn't improve/were apparently just the game itself, like this weird half to 1 second freeze when AI players load into the meeting camp , in Comrades DLC. Or maybe a SSD would be needed for that. It'll allow me to pick "4k" for screenshot size (not that I need them that size), and 1080 for video recording size, instead of 720. Video playback definitely looks somewhat better that way which for me is probably the most desirable thing. Anyway ... there are some noticeable differences but all fairly minor, for this game anyway. Sometimes depends partly on game dev's implementation, as I understand it. Probably not worth $400 in my case but dang it I was curious to know with my own eyeballs. Now I know. And hubby's shaking his head at me again.
  24. Never mind the image itself. If you check the resolution *size* of the image. That's the thing. Yeah, I did it. I bought a Pro. For almost no other reason/benefit other than I became intensely curious about testing a few things. I can always return it. Like that's going to happen. I blame you guys! (well, and the 'net in general this past week)
  25. ^ I don't know the game, but Imma taking that funny/adorable picture with me.
